49ers v. Seahawks live blog: Pregame

SAN FRANCISCO — This is the live blog for the pregame of the 49ers’ Week 14 game against the Seahawks. I’ll update this frequently with information and analysis from the press box.

12:00 The 49ers’ inactives are Quinton Patton, Tarell Brown, Quinton Dial, Mike Iupati, Jon Baldwin, Garrett Celek and Tank Carradine. Adam Snyder will start at left guard for Iupati.

12:01 The Seahawks’ inactives are Percy Harvin, Christine Michael, Brandon Browner, Michael Bowie, Caylin Hauptman, Benson Mayowa and Jordan Hill. James Carpenter will start at left guard instead of Paul McQuistan.

12:50 In warmups, Michael Crabtree is the flanker and Anquan Boldin is the split end. It will be interesting to see if the 49ers try to avoid the Boldin-Richard Sherman matchup.

  1. Knile Davis, RB out of Arkansas who the Niners easily could have drafted, just went 17 yards for the Chiefs who now are up 45-10 on the Redskins in the 4thQ. AS is 14/20 with 2 TD passes and a QBR of 122. Chiefs also had punt and kick-off returns for TDs.

  2. 45 to 10 over the Redskins
(and we have possesion of the pigskin…)
My completion rate is 14/20 with two TDs.
Talk about a balanced offense: 2 rushing TDS.
Jamaal Charles with 101 yards on the ground.
Balanced passing game: 4 receivers in double digits.
Note to Colin Sack n’ Pick:
I have surrended no sacks and no interceptions.
Soon the Chiefs will be 10-3.
Sure sounds better than 8-4, huh? … or 8-5….

Wanna be in my club, rookie?
Ya gotta want it more than Russell, okay?
    Remember; you need a balanced attack;
we gained 132 on the ground and
137 in the air. Balanced. Seriously balanced.

My name is Alex Smith and I approve of this message.

  3. Sadly I won’t get to watch this game live – its Monday morning here in Australia so I’ll be at work – but this should be a cracker. Enjoy the game everyone and go 49ers!

  4. Note to Coach Harbaw:
so late in the third quarter you were leading
    the Redskins 17 to 6.
Somehow, the Chiefs managed to build a real lead.
We start the third quarter up 38 to 10.
Ya gotta learn to put these games away early, my man!!!
So you finish off in “garbage time” at 27 to 6.
I am not impressed, sir… in the least.
Let’s see what your boys do with Seattle, huh?
