The 49ers placed linebacker Ahmad Brooks back on their 53-man roster this morning, waiving receiver Chris Hannon to make room for him.
The move was anticipated after Brooks was let go on Saturday to make room for Hannon’s promotion from the practice squad. Hannon was needed to suit up Sunday in Buffalo because of a shortage of receivers.
There is even a chance Brooks could make his 49ers debut on Sunday against the Jets. He has not been active for a game this season. He has spent 11 games on the 49ers’ roster after being claimed off waivers from the Bengals prior to the start of the regular season.
