49ers @ Cardinals live blog: Fourth quarter

This is the live blog for the fourth quarter of the 49ers Week 8 game in Arizona against the Cardinals. I’ll update this frequently with information and analysis from my living room in Oakland.

7:50 Dashon Goldson just destroyed Early Doucet on first and 10. Skelton threw a short pass to the slot receiver, and when he turned his head up field, Goldson leveled him. Doucet walked gingerly off the field.

7:53 The Cardinals terrible offensive line can’t hold up any longer. They surrender a sack to Ahmad Brooks on second down and to Aldon Smith on third down. The Cardinals punt, and Ginn makes the fair catch at the SF 36.

7:58 The 49ers go three and out. Kendall Hunter gains eight yards up the middle on first and second down, and Alex Smith took a sack on third and two when the Cardinals blitzed. Here’s a stat for you: Smith has thrown one incompletion and taken four sacks.

8:00 Alex Smith sprained his finger in the fourth quarter of a blowout against the Bills. He’s taking hits here in the fourth quarter, and this game is over. Harbaugh should bring in Colin Kaepernick to finish the game.

8:07 The Cardinals take timeout with 7:54 left in the game. They face third and 23 from their own 20. Skelton is getting pummeled by Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks.

8:10 The 49ers will start this drive from their own 10 after a holding penalty on the punt. Alex Smith is still in the game for some reason.

8:17 On the first play of the drive he completes a short pass to Vernon Davis for 9 yards. Then, Smith hands off five times in a row, and Andy Lee punts. The Cardinals have the ball at their 35 yard line with 3:47 left in the game.

8:22 The Cardinals were just flagged for holding Aldon Smith. Jon Gruden says Smith reminds him of Charles Haley in his prime.

8:29 Chris Culliver breaks up a deep pass in the end zone intended for Michael Floyd.

8:30 On fourth and goal from the 7, Skelton completes a short pass to Fitzgerald who stretches out but gets tackles at the 1-yard line. The 49ers win 24-3. Stay tuned for the grades, which are coming very soon.

To the card fan who decided to come read the blog – we are crushing you. Ha ha ha. NFC west champs 4 life!!!

  7. 49er42 says:

They have 8 in the box so lets try throwing the ball.Love to see a slant.

  8. Hoferfan67 says:

The 9ers play so much better without the QB shuffle.

  9. 49er42 says:

    Throw the ball!

  10. Big Niner says:

taking useless sacks and killing my fanatasy football

  11. DS94everXev says:

Announcers note no CK so far. AS playing a perfect game tonight, just coincidence.

    • Hoferfan67 says:

AS is taking too may sacks. He needs to get rid of the ball.

      • Hoferfan67 says:

        *many*

      • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

        Hofer,

Taking those sacks from a hated rival that you are blowing out, after that hit from Goldson. Alex Smith should be getting rid of that football, just so he doesnt have to keep taking the punishment and to avoid getting hurt. Campbell and Docket will try and purposely hurt him. Tell him that at dinner tomorrow! lol.

      • Prime Time says:

23welcher, you have been appointed to pick up all the crap Smith left on the field tonight!

        Stack that box pal!

      • Hoferfan67 says:

Jordo, 4 sacks are very minor in the overall win. AS played lights out! Jordo, you predicted he would crap the bed. I guess you will disappear this week!

      • DS94everXev says:

        hof

Sacks don’t lose games. TO’s do. Last year proves it.

And do you know what the difference is between throwing it away to avoid a sack and gvig your WR’s more time?

If he’s sacked, he should have thrown it. If the WR gets open, it’s a great play. That is about it. Now you may say he’s taken some shots he could have avoided, but you’re really pushing your criticism here.

Gruden sure says winning 20 out of 25 is good. And the only change is no change. Also hates stats. And says don’t expect 300 here since we don’t pass it a lot.

    • Prime Time says:

I think not. Coaches learnt their lesson, haters never will!

    • Neal says:

Just a perfect game in your delusional life, way too many sacks BS. needs to throw the ball out of bounds, kills the drives, run wide out of pocket, don’t just walk into the sacks, he is saying , please sack me.

      • Hoferfan67 says:

Neal, he’s had a good game no denying him that.

      • Prime Time says:

Wheres the weak link brainiac? Too many sacks? You would not know a smart football play if it slapped you across the face!

      • philly9er says:

The 1st sack I thought was on Goodwin but the others he could’ve avoided.

      • Neal says:

No denying he had a good game Hofer. Now he has played 4 good to great games, 3 poor ones and one below average. What game are we going to get after the bye? Can he put together a string of efficient games, that will be the question, if anything he is inconsistent.

      • Neal says:

Prime where your best friend Axel, yea look in the mirror Prime Welcher.

      • Prime Time says:

I’m lookin and laughing Neal! I see weak link, inaccurate, blah, blah, blah.

Then I see a great performance by Alex. Neal, wrong again skippy!

      • Neal says:

Prime, oh I mean Axel, if anything your boy toy is inconsistent,. not wrong Prime welcher, yes he had a good game and I recognize that prime slime welcher.

      • Neal says:

Yes I said that Axel Smith had a good game.

      • Prime Time says:

You recognize jack Neal that squeals! Run yor mouth then swallow crow. Typical hater. I told you so, I told you so! Wrong again. Buwhahahahahaha!!!!!!

      • Msclemons67 says:

        Oneniner makes his triumphant return.

      • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

        Neal,

I’m protesting the prime welcheraxel for good on this blog. He’s not worthy of a discussion. Didn’t come close to paying his bet with Bay! Erase that clown.

      • MidWestNiner says:

Umm…23, you really don’t have a right to call somebody who welched on a bet.

      • 23Jordan/ Claude is a Clown says:

        Midwest,

Who did I make a bet with? You’re running your mouth where you have facts? See if you can answer my question? Every bet I made on this blog, I won and 1 person honored it, the other lied and said he didn’t bet.

      • Prime Time says:

23liar. Are you really that stupid? Yes sir. Protest Prime! Protest Prime! Protest Prime!

      • MidWestNiner says:

You said if Smith was still the starting QB that you wouldn’t be back on this blog this season. But honestly I could care less. I’m focusing on a great team win right now 23.

      • Prime Time says:

Don’t burst his bubble Midwest. He still thinks he is in middle school playing hop scotch.

    • Nick says:

      Perfect? No
      Good game? Yes

      • Prime Time says:

Perfect? What a clown you are. Who has a perfect game? Grow up Cal boy!

      • Neal says:

Prime Welcher, your big sister BS, said AS had a perfect game. What do you think Axel?

      • Jack Hammer says:

        Perfect Game? No

        Montana like? Absolutely.

      • Axel Foley says:

Great game Neal/23 so many names. Too bad you never believed. That must make the win tainted a little. Oh well, bandwagon is never full. Go 49ers!

      • Nick says:

        Axel Primate,
Do you have reading comprehension issues? Your side kick DS said AS played a perfect game. Now run to big sister before animal control catches you.

      • Axel Foley says:

There is no such thing as a perfect game but it was an exceptional game.

  12. mr. rock says:

    Alex sack.

  13. pete4mtx says:

Smith is killing drives wit da sacks…cmon man

  14. Big Niner says:

time for the pick 6!! lets go D!!!!! help my fanatasy football!!

  15. steelematic says:

Is it me or for a team that has the rb speed in hunter thst we dont screen enough. they knew an all out blitz was coming why not screen. we get hit wiyh it every game. why not use it

  16. DS94everXev says:

Does anybody see CK doing what AS has done tonight?

    If you do, you’re delusional.

    • Msclemons67 says:

Throwing 8 yards passes with lots of YAC? Yeah, I could see CK doing that.

Actually, with Harbaugh coaching I could see Matt Moore doing that. Jim made Alex look competent. Imagine what he’ll do with a real QB.

      • angusinCanada says:

Smith has been more than competent Msc.

Good grief, aside from maybe 2 plays where he could have avoided sacks, he’s played pretty much perfect.
All you can do is say to that is that the coach made him look competent? C’mon man, you’re better than that!

      • MidWestNiner says:

When things go right, any QB looks good. It just happens to be Alex Smith tonight.

      • chelsea says:

U don’t get it. It takes a lot as a coach to program your QB to play jst as. You design. We are playing a perfect. Offense aginst a team trying to shut. Down the run and long. Passes. JH does not need a real. QB as u put it. He has the right and. Smart QB. Who will do. Exactly what waz designed during. The. Week. Not some QB who is learning on the job and lacks the experience Alex has.

      • Hoferfan67 says:

Clem, the WRs played well tonight especially with the RAC and didn’t do anything differently than WWelker or VCruz does on a every game basis for their elite QBs.

      • DS94everXev says:

        How are you doing msc?
        :- )

    • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

      BSlicious23345577,

Crabs and Moss with 100 yards of YAC. Everbody on this blog knows who is delusional. I thought that’s what DS stood for. Meanwhil, back at the ranch, do you see what Crabtree is doing with the checkdown passes?? Crabs is taking the checkdown downtown!

      • Prime Time says:

Perfectly thrown passes in stride to get those YAC yards.
Listen to Gruden clown. He is spelling it out for you haters!

      • Prime Time says:

And cowboy just said it to. Wow! Amazing we were right the whole time!

      • DS94everXev says:

23 Pathetic Doesn’t begin to describe it

Justin Smith would kick your butt. And I’d pay to see it.

      • Nick says:

        Primate and DS,
let’s not get carried away. The ball bounced Smith’s way tonight. He nearly threw an INT on a pass which turned into a reception by D Walker, MC made him look good on multiple plays, the o-line played well, the run game was priductive, coaching was B+, etc

      • MidWestNiner says:

That means it was a team win Nick. When a team is winning, everybody usually looks good.

      • Nick says:

        MWN
I completely agree with you. Its clowns like Prime/Axel who can’t control themselves when AS does well. By the way, you predicted the long TD pass by Moss. Good call.

      • Prime Time says:

Nickrow you are right, it’s so fun slapping you trolls after a win. You talk smack all week and now what happened? Alex proved all you haters wrong. Stop crying an enjoy the win Cal boy!

      • MidWestNiner says:

        Thsnks Nick.

      • DS94everXev says:

        Nick

So what you’re saying is AS got a WR performance like EM had against us? EM had a lot of help as well. Except EM had more than 1 Incompletion in his first 19 attempts.

And if you’re not excited, what does it take man?

      • Nick says:

        DS
Who said I’m not excited? It was a great team performance and now we’re up 2 games in the division.

      • Prime Time says:

Give it 12 hours DS and Cal boy will be spewing hate all over the bye week.

      • DS94everXev says:

        Nick

        8:47 post. Opening sentence.

Lacks the excitement I’d expect after such a performance.

  17. philly9er says:

    Come on

  18. 49er42 says:

The Offensive is getting too conservative. JH needs to open it up and end the game with another TD.

    • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

Smith takes just enough sacks to keep the game close enough to keep Kap on the bench! Bwahahahahahaha!

      • Prime Time says:

Maybe he can run the Kaper pine warmer play. The one where Alex comes off the field and has a warm
        seat to sit on!

Man is winning fun when Alex serves you haters crow!

      • MidWestNiner says:

Being up by three touchdowns is keeping it close? C’mon man.

      • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

I say we boycott the primewelcherfoley. I no longer will respond to any post he leaves. I’d advise anyone else that makes a personal bet with another poster here be treated the same way. Honor your bet Hypocrite.

      • Prime Time says:

When you honor yours, I will honor mine.
How does it feel to get told you were wrong AGAIN?
Boo hoo hoo! Get ready to clean up the field, the one where Smith crapped all over remember?
        Buwhajajjahahahahahja!!!!!!!!!

      • I.P. Daily says:

How about not responding to anything except the boss telling you to clean up the food court?

      • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

        Midwest,

Just close enough in the NFL not to play the backup.

      • Prime Time says:

BtW whose we? You think anyone on here is gonna follow you? Go ahead, boycott away, you will still be the laughing stock on the blog. Can’t wait to hear a bye week full of more predictions from you!

      • chelsea says:

        Datz wasz funny 23welcher

      • MidWestNiner says:

C’mon 23. Smith had a great game tonight.

  19. chelsea says:

Grant better come up with some good stuff through this bye week because I forsee no noise from the Alex haters. But then again…

  20. Msclemons67 says:

Time to get CK out there. Need some reps for the future.

  21. Big Suede says:

Why is Alex Smith still out there???

All I want to see is Kaepernick- it is lame enough that Alex Smith’s feelings are so sensitive that he can;t have the team play Kap here and there to change things up. But now the guy needs to remain in the game during blowouts too?

    • MidWestNiner says:

Harbaugh makes the final decisions, not Alex Smith. Your post is completely biased.

    • angusinCanada says:

Are you really that much of an idiot?
They’re just going to hand off the rest of the game, with perhaps 1 more throw so Alex can set an nfl record for completion % in a game.

  22. Crab15 says:

DS – Niners D is playing with bad intentions tonight!
Alex and the offense is looking good! The coaching staff got their crap together too (special teams improved)! DW played well (except for the one drop).
Btw, what are you doing live blogging and why does HoferFan dislike Crabtree so much? :-)
Live long and prosper DS……Yes I’m in a good mood.

    • DS94everXev says:

      C15

Considering who we played, AZ defense in AZ, this was AS best regular season game in his life. MC made some nice moves. Maybe his best game.

I expected our D to do this. LF is great. But their OL…suck. And LF made another catch he had no business making. I hate that jerk.

    • Hoferfan67 says:

Crab, I don’t dislike MC. I just think what he is doing tonight is exactly what WWelker and VCruz do weekly for their elite QB’s. All good.

  23. Edgar Acuna says:

Now THAT’S Alex Smith’s relative telling it like it is!

  24. Big Suede says:

I admit it- I am just sick of Alex Smith. I don’t care if he is doing great. I am just tired of looking at the guy. I prayed last offseason that Manning would sign. Then I wished that Smith would just sign with the dolphins out of spite. Now I am rooting for an injury.

I need a fresh start. I have seen Smith for 8 years now- and it is about 7 years too long. This game broke me- I am sick of the guy. It is boring.

    • MidWestNiner says:

Translation: if Smith wins the Super Bowl I’ll still be calling for his head like a biased fool.

    • fesnyc says:

full credit for honesty, Big Suede. i dont think Alex is going anywhere for a little while tho. hang in there. we have a very competitive team, and even i think Alex has come a long way.

      • Big Suede says:

It really sucks because I love the rest of the team. But this dinking and dunking. It is like Chinese water torture. I can’t take it.

The lone time I cheered the offense tonight was Moss breaking that 47 yard reception- just making those defenders miss- that was excitement.

At least the D is fun to watch. digging Aldon Smith’s sack dances

      • philly9er says:

Did you ever watch WCOs before? They are considered dink and dunk.

      • MidWestNiner says:

If you can’t be happy for a solid team effort, then you need to find another team. Harbaugh will keep it this way as long as he’s the coach.

      • Adam says:

Rooting for an injury just makes this dude a tool.

      • Big Suede says:

NOOOOO philly- I watched Montana, Young, Garcia- all the games- Alex Smith cant pass beyond 15 yards and never hits receivers in stride.

Smith throws the ball to static receivers and then the receiver needs to hope to break a tackle or hope the DB just stumbles- that is our passing game.

And I enjoyed this offense when Stanford was running it with Luck.

It is Alex SMith. Personally I dislike him. He is wonderbread toast- stale and boring. Gets the job done- but it is getting really really really old.

      • DS94everXev says:

        Adam

He’s got a few partners hoping for injury.

    • angusinCanada says:

I actually have no idea if you’re being serious or sarcastic! The craziness of the Smith haters makes me think that you might actually be serious.

    • philly9er says:

      Atleast you’re honest about it.

  25. Fansince 77 says:

Alex had a good game. But he still takes too many sacks and has no pocket presence. On his best day he’s a a solid QB, but he’s just not that dynamic or exciting,
He’s a little like Troy Aikman. Smart and efficient. But not as accurate.

  26. Timex/Well, one more week? says:

Alex has shown well this evening – against a decent defense. But not good enough to get his team to the Super Bowl.

  27. 49er42 says:

JH is not going to change. He is not going to open up the offense unless he has to.
It is like the Giants ; win with pitching and defense. This is win with a running game short passing and great defense.

  28. I.P. Daily says:

    Yup…

  29. Crab15 says:

23J – Alex got some help but he kicked some booty all night tonight! If Alex plays like that consistently we will be tough to beat.
That was an overall TEAM win tonight!
Much better play calls by Roman, much better!

    • DS94everXev says:

      C15

AS got no less/more help than any other great QB.

And if somebody has an issue with me saying great QB for the 19-5 QB, they can make me a mans bet or shut it.

    • 23jordan/ Smith's days are numbered!! says:

      Crabs,

He did play well. He hit his receivers with the ball. Crabs and Moss made plays with the football. 100 yards of earned YAC. The downfield blocking was major. CONSISTENCY Crabs! Smith played well. The receivers were major.

  30. xJHaws52x says:

I love how there are still Alex Smith haters… And apparently they call themselves niners’ fans. How stupid can you be? We run a west coast offense… it requires an accurate QB (check), a running game that is amazing (check), a mobile QB (check). Stop criticizing him, if your a fan of the team give him the support a team needs… I’m positive he sees what people say and that doesnt sit well with him.
    GO NINERS!!!!

  31. MidWestNiner says:

No touchdowns for the Cardinals tonight.

  32. MidWestNiner says:

    Great win tonight!

  33. angusinCanada says:

Great game, great effort on offense and defense, and special teams. All-round good game. Hah! Even the qb keeper goes for 6 yards. Smith setting some sort of record….night everyone!

  34. chelsea says:

Great win niner fans. Reading the comments above made me Lol

  35. Hoferfan67 says:

I got the passing prediction yardage dead on correct – 232.

For the Over/Under on Kaepernick plays is 4. I said under…

And the 9ers win! What a night!!

    • Prime Time says:

      Great win tonight Hof!

    • Msclemons67 says:

You were right on both Hofer – nice job!

I’m a bit baffled by CK not taking some reps once the game was settled. Gotta get the QB of the future ready. I guess the coaches felt Alex’ psyche was too fragile?

  36. fesnyc says:

great to see Alex and Crabs rip up the Cards. can’t wait to seem them do the same to the fricking NY Giants.

  37. 49er42 says:

Great two days here in the S.F.Bay Area ; the World Champs Giants and a great 49ers win.

  38. Adam says:

    Smith broke another record. Nice.

  39. MidWestNiner says:

Smith isn’t flashy, yet he keeps breaking records.

  40. MidWestNiner says:

Gives credit to his teammates and then says he could have done better. Nothing but class Smirh.

  41. Willie niner says:

We got the seachickens we got the cardinails next the lams… LOL…

  42. Jack Hammer says:

Great job by Roman to come out running early, got Smith in rhythm, and everyone was involved. 29 carries by 5 different players, 18-19 for Smith and hitting 9 different receivers. Really good stuff offensively tonight.

Defense just did what they always do. Every time the ball was in the air they were around it. Shut down the run and got a good pass rush going in the second half.

Even Ginn got into the act with a couple nice returns.

    • BigP says:

It was good stuff all the way around. I loved those brutal hits in the 4th, they were savage. I’m happy with a two game lead in the NFC West through eight games.

    • DS94everXev says:

      Jack

I wish TG wouldn’t run out with the punter coming at him.

He’s a full time returner now. He needs to get all he can, and stop running out of bounds like a QB.

      • Crab15 says:

DS – I get what you’re saying but when you have a good lead and your offense is in complete control, it’s not worth the risk to fight for a few extra yards. A Ginn fumble there could have given the Cardinals life.

      • Crab15 says:

DS – Do you still think KW is a better returner than Ginn?
Ginn needed some time to get healthy, the burst is there now. Ginn is leggy and KW is not. :-)
Sprinters have long strides, KW is quick but has little choppy steps. I know KW looked fast on that one return TD but Ginn would smoke KW in a 100 yard dash. Usain Bolt might edge Ginn though. Lol

      • DS94everXev says:

        C15

If a punter forces a fumble, just retire on the spot. Was the ball on his outside arm even?

And yes, I think KW is better. TG puts a move on the punter, and turns on the jets, it’s a TD. KW I think tries to juke the punter, and scores.

      • Crab15 says:

        DS – PUH-LEASE!
Kickers can cause fumbles, remember the kicker who made Desean Jackson fumble?
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdQYZwN5ApE

        I couldn’t resist. Lol

      • DS94everXev says:

And Jackson’s career the past couple of years not anything like the first couple. Hardly hear about him now.

Football Gods will get you. Even if the refs don’t.

  43. Axel Foley says:

Brilliant performance by the entire offense lead by everyone’s favorite, Alex who? The formula worked again tonight. Its not pretty but a win shines it up nicely. 6-2 and full control of the division.

  44. Axel Foley says:

On Crabtree’s 30 yard catch and run, watch the block atb the end of the run by Moss, wow!

    • BigP says:

Why do you keep switching profiles?

      • Axel Foley says:

What are you talking about? Did you enjoy the game tonight? Did Alex Smith prove you doubters wrong?
I thought it was a great game tonight. The team was ready tonight and under the lights, the real stars showed up. Alex Smith, Michael Crabtree, and the entire defense although Arizona has a poor offense. All good.

      • Neal says:

Your the weak link Axel Prime Welcher in Smither Nation. Does your Mommy know that you have multiple profiles on here Axel Smith?

      • Msclemons67 says:

Well Prime, the Precious threw an off target 8 yard out that Moss turned into a TD. He threw a late duck that Crabs turned into a TD. He took 4 sacks when he had more than 3 seconds of protection.

The Precious had a Phil Simms game. Carried.

      • Prime Time says:

Neal that squeals, the weak link is between your ears pal. It’s not there.
You should join the protest proclaimed by yourself. Don’t reply to Prime til he honors his bet? Ha! What a joke you all are. You especially could not avoid me, I own Neal. Ready, jump Neal!

      • Prime Time says:

Whatever lemons, you are so in denial it’s comical. Keep spreading your hate. The entire universe saw Alex perform under the biggest stage on MNF. Was Gruden lying on national television or were you too drunk to hear the volume on your television?

      • Neal says:

Prime Axel, you don’t own anyone, and you certainly don’t own me, you don’t need to be Dr. Phil to make this accurate, and let me see, you have very few friends if any, because your need to always be right, you probably had 25 jobs already your career, because your past employers think that your annoying and incompetent. Also you have not had any significant relationships with the opposite sex because women, find you arrogant and you have not accomplished much in life. Am I right. Oh yea I nailed it

      • Nick says:

        Neal
Axel Primate is not the weak link. He’s the missing link. That’s why animal control, the Smithsonian, and anthropology geeks are so excited they finally found it.

      • Prime Time says:

See Neal that squeals, your right on cue. I say jump and you start barking Dr.Phil, primate, mommys basement, bs sister. Hahahaha! Your my little toy. Thanks for proving me right AGAIN!

      • Neal says:

        Nick,

You hit that right on, thanks for the big laugh. hahahahahahha. Right now Axel Smith is singing the Bee Gee song, How does a loser ever win?

      • Prime Time says:

Cal boy had his dreams shattered tonight by a great performance by his idol Alex Smith. Poor Nicky, one incompletion not good enough for you? Alex served your favorite, crow ala cal bears? Poor fool!

      • Neal says:

Prime Welcher, that is the best you can come up with, you lost brain cells playing Axel Foley(( (loser)))

      • Prime Time says:

My little puppet,Neal come along son. You can’t protest me, I’m your owner. Whoof, whoof, whoof.
How did Alex look tonight? Weak link, inaccurate, check out the box score my little Chihuahua!

      • Nick says:

Now I believe in evolution. The missing link has been found! No, its not Ida. It is Axel Primate :)

      • Quest to Protest Prime Time says:

Cal boy,I know your bitter. You were probably looking so forward to Alex having a bad game tonight but hoping the Niners escape with a win right?
Too bad so sad hater boy from Cal. Crow is now served on campus B. Wrong again Nicky. Join your hero on his quest to protest Prime Time!
        Buwhahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

    • Big Niner says:

that’s the stuff that shows up on tape. People thought Moss would implode here. #real gamer

  45. xJHaws52x says:

I think its so cool seeing Steve Young sit next to Alex Smith on ESPN… really cool sight for hardcore niners fans

  46. chelsea says:

Classic niner football. This win shld definately last 2wks.

  47. xJHaws52x says:

BTW… the fool that said Alex Smith is mediocre… YOU ARE SO STUPID.
Alex has had his trials and has done nothing but work hard and get to where he needs to be. if that means he isnt going to be putting up A-Rod, Brady and Brees like stats but still WIN games, I’m ok with that.
Not gonna lie, Ive hated AS sometimes but i dont know if youve realized that when the team has a WHOLE doesnt play well it rubs off on him. Its never one persons fault.

  48. steelematic says:

I guess since i dont stress whose a hater n whose a hippocrite ill just say….. “What the hell is CROW”. And whose eating it?. Lol. For everyone of you alex joc holders u all tried to destroy frank gore… And for all of you alex undertakers he actually had the most perfect alex game in his life and the nfl. Im not impressed by it because of those 19 completeinons i think 2 went more than 10yds in the air. Bottom line Gore has been here just as
long n had just as many oc n bad olines n watever other excuse u ppl give smith. and he has still produced but u all cant wait to have hunter back there. But ur the same cowards who bitch when ppl give smith a hard time.and for everyone that wants kap in, truth be told he needs the offseason to get prepared not week 8 of the season. My personal opinion if we play like tonight we will win a title. But if we play like we played the vikings who made us throw the the real smith will buckle. litterally

  49. steelematic says:

We need smith to control a turnover free game when we run the ball down ppls throat. My opinion for at least 2013 we need smith n smith needs the D… n HARBAUGH. GO NINERS

  50. LSX says:

A big win over a division rival, and all I see is a bunch of pussies bickering back and forth about Alex Smith. Can you guys ever shut up and get along? As pathetic as it is, I can’t say I’m even surprised.

Sometimes I’m embarrassed to be a 49ers fan. Thank God this blog only represents a tiny fraction of the fan base.

  51. Willie niner says:

LSX if you are embarrassed to be a 49ers fan than you are not a truly 9er fan go back to the Raiders blog and leave us real 49ers fans enjoy this WIN!!!
