Experts predict Kaepernick to start

Adam Schefter just reported on ESPN that “people around the NFL” believe Colin Kaepernick will remain the starting quarterback for the 49ers.

This is an opinion rather than a prediction, and shows a lot less certainty than last week when people seemed to have inside information.

My opinion is Jim Harbaugh will name Kaepernick the starter this afternoon.

Stay tuned.

  1. More Trolling says:

Stop Trolling. It will never been over till the fat lady sings and that’s when AS is no longer with the 49ers. Trust it.

  2. Mr. Automatic says:

Worth less than $.02, my “expert” opinion is Coach goes back to Alex this week. If so, the uproar is going to be deafening. Hell, reaction is going to be emphatic regardless of which choice he makes… but, it’s going to make for a very interesting story and for “must watch” games for the rest of the season! (How could he make such an egregious mistake! or Coach really knew what he was doing when he went back to Smith!)

    Whatever. ;)

    Go 9ers!

    • DS94everXev says:

      Sorry.

The idea of putting in AS in the 4th quarter would be a slap in the face of them both.

Games are won in the 4th quarter. If CK didn’t play it, it would mean he isn’t the guy JH can really depend on. If AS didn’t get to start the game it would mean that AS is the one who has to come in and fix up CK’s messes. And if AS plays the most important quarter, why not the whole game then?

Such a plan has never been devised because such a plan is futile and short-sighted and will do nothing but get both players pissed at the HC. And that spells doom.

    • jgwindsor says:

so if RGIII had come to stanford with Luck who would have been the closer for JH

  3. DS94everXev says:

If you listen to what JH actually has said on Monday, he’s said that AS is the starter and CK has played well.

    This whole charade is nonsensical.

    • claude balls says:

      @ DS:

No, he said more than that about Kaepernick. He said that Kaep has started and won games, so you cannot classify him as a backup.

      • DS94everXev says:

But he didn’t say AS wasn’t the starter.

JH complimented CK like he did at the start of TC. No difference here. Think back to that, and he said we (Niners) have 3 very capable QB’s who can start. So, he’s just reaffirming what he’s already stated.

If CK is the starter, what would you say he has to do to prove he is better than AS? Considering AS took them to the NFC Title game (that is the known ceiling on him) CK would have to win it. This is more or less the same team, so if CK came up short, one would have to conclude CK didn’t give the Niiners any advantage at all, and quite possibly we lost something with the switch.

      • Matt says:

I don’t think I agree with your reasoning here:

If CK is the starter, what would you say he has to do to prove he is better than AS? Considering AS took them to the NFC Title game (that is the known ceiling on him) CK would have to win it.

I believe a black and white argument to that would be if CK took them to the championship for less than 7 million a year, he is better than Smith.

Of course countless arguments could be made for either player. At the end of the day though, it’s still great to be a 49er fan. Either man can and will win for this team and that’s just awesome. At 1 we’ll know who the starter this week is.

      • rocket says:

It’s not nearly that simple DS. The only reason this move is even being considered is because Kap played so well when given the chance. If he continues to play at this level then it really doesn’t matter if he achieves more than Smith. It’s a team sport and Kap is one part of the equation. If he plays well and the defense flops, or we have another edition of fumbleitis on Punt returns, then the blame won’t fall on Kap just like it shouldn’t have fallen on Smith last year.

      • Grant Cohn says:

If the offense goes 1-for-13 on third down in a playoff game behind Kap, he’ll get plenty of blame, as he should.

      • Hoferfan67 says:

        Grant,

First CK would need to get to the playoffs. Second he would need to win a playoff game in a big way. Third, I agree with you.

      • Grant Cohn says:

What does “in a big way” mean?

      • FDM says:

Rocket, in both games you watched CK play, did you see a remarkable difference in the offense?

      • rocket says:

        Grant,

So Kap should be blamed if they get stuffed on 3rd and short, or if a receiver drops a pass, breaks off a route etc? It’s not black and white just like it wasn’t last year in the NFCCG. You can’t put all the blame on the QB.

      • Grant Cohn says:

1-for-13 is extreme ineptitude. The QB takes not all the blame, but the biggest share.

      • Hoferfan67 says:

        Rocket, well said!

      • rocket says:

        FDM,

The biggest difference I saw was Kaps escapability. Other than that the playcalling was pretty much the same as it has been.

    • Nick says:

      DS
Take what JH says publicly with a grain of salt

      • Chicago49er says:

Yes, with all due respect to Alex and what he has done to help us win,the offense looked just different with CK! I am not stating CK is the future or he is better than Alex at this time but responding to your question! With Ck at the QB position, the offense had a spark. CK threw some very difficult passes and completed third downs to extend the play when we needed it in the saints game. Also ck was able to use his legs to buy more time for the OL line. We did not give up any sacks!

Also, i would like to point out, Ck led one of the longest drives in the NFL history to chew time and allow the defense to rest!!! Nobody has mentioned anything about the impact of the long drive and how it helped our defense get ready to shut out the Saints!

Now with that said, CK is still a rookie and there will be growing pains but if he gains experience and learns the position he can become very dangerous in this league! GO NINERS

  4. Coffee's for closers says:

Smith, barring injury, will be the starter for the remainder of the season I believe. Next year Kaepernick will be the starter, Smith will not want to compete with Colin knowing that Harbaugh is biased and will look to go start somewhere else.

    • D Rogue says:

This is what I think as well. Come April 1st the 49ers will release Alex, as I doubt he would accept a backup role on the Niners.

    • Coffee's for closers says:

Oh well I was wrong, wish I wasn’t.

      • Neanderthal Offense says:

        Coffee

Why? Why do you wish that? Don’t you want what’s best for the team?

I’m not being difficult, I just don’t understand where you’re coming from.

      • Nick says:

It sounds like Coffee wanted what was best Alex over whats best for the team. Oh well

      • Coffee's for closers says:

“Don’t you want what’s best for the team?”

Yes but we have different opinions as to what that is.

“It sounds like Coffee wanted what was best Alex over whats best for the team”

In my opinion the team has the best chance to win with Alex not Colin, if you want to make it a personal thing with Alex go ahead but don’t put words in my mouth.

  5. Neanderthal Offense says:

Jerry Rice expects Kaepernick but suggests Alex’s experience should trump Kaepernick’s superior ability for the rest of the year.

  6. Neanderthal Offense says:

David Shaw says Jim Harbaugh is the most competitive person on the face of the earth and that Jim will go with whomever gives the most potent competitive advantage.

  7. MWNiner says:

Harbaugh (it has been reported) will name the starter sometime today .. and with his announcement .. will come a pretty good indication of where his head is at ..

If he names Alex as the starter … sure.. there will be some uproar .. but it should die down pretty quickly … but ..
if he names Kaepernick … then articles like .. this one will be the norm .. from now until next season !

    • Matt says:

I just don’t agree that Smith would go to an NFC west team. Sure the Cardinals have a spot open at QB, but Alex Smith is in contract and could and probably would be traded. That would prevent him from playing for a divisional rival.
The last time SF traded a Big name player was TO. They did all they could to keep him out of the NFC. I expect much the same with A. Smith “if” he is traded.
Dallas or Minnesotta are the two biggest landing spots. If SF has their way, he’ll go AFC. In that case, look out SD.

  8. Prime Time says:

Whatever the decision please no more crying!

    • Neanderthal Offense says:

Look who’s the man! Nice response to my charade with Grant regarding all your posts. Much respect …

    • Crab15 says:

Prime – Would you agree, if you’re going to name RoboKap starter, isn’t better to do it now than 2 or 3 weeks before playoffs?
Kap would be much more seasoned with 5 more starts under his belt, going into playoffs.
If Alex is named starter today than you are stuck with him (barring injury). Why? If Harbaugh chooses Alex he is not going to want to pull him after making this big decision, unless Alex plays horrible.
Harbaugh doesn’t want to look bad, so he would have to give Alex every possible chance to prove he made the right choice.

That’s why Harbaugh goes with RoboKap now.
I think with 5 more starts he gives us a much better chance to win Super Bowl than Alex.
Kap is 25 years old not 21. Why waste precious time with this sick talent? Alex had 7 and a half years to try and become worthy of being a #1 overall pick and it didn’t happen.
Kap can possibly become an elite QB in 2 or 3 years, why wait to find out?

      • Prime Time says:

Crabs this whole situation is a fiasco to say the least. I have stated my opinion on this and whatever Harbaugh decides I will be happy with. There is no reason to think that either guy cannot get it done. Some will disagree but the trump in all this is our defense. Whatever QB plays, they will need the defense to carry them. I don’t see either guy having the capability to carry us. That’s not how the Niners are built or how they win games. It has always been a collective effort in each win.

      • ribico says:

        Whatever happens, it’s all good.

By comparison, if you want to know what all bad is, check this out.

“Jets fans deserve a refund this year after watching their 4-7 season stumble, bumble and butt-fumble their way out of playoff contention. If the Jets were a steak, you would send it back. If they were a purchase at a store, you would be searching for the receipt. Instead of looking like competition for the Patriots on Thursday, the Jets played the Washington Generals to the Pats’ Globetrotters”

    • Chicago49er says:

I agree Prime, JH knows what he is doing and whomever starts is our QB. GO NINERS

  9. undercenter says:

As far as I am concerned the best expert is a receiver. The greatest receiver to ever play the game has come out and said that AS should start. That receiver is Jerry Rice, if I listen to anyone, Jerry’s thoughts overrides Adam Schefter thoughts. I just wished a decision be made so this can be put behind us. Hopefully that happens today.

    • Neanderthal Offense says:

Yeah, but he also said that Kaepernick is a better quarterback, but that Alex “deserves” to start based on past service over the last 26 games. Audrey Huff got paid because he “deserved” to be rewarded for past service.

    • DS94everXev says:

I can care less what any non current Niner player has to say about the starter. Nobody but current Niners have to deal with the repercussions of it, so it doesn’t much matter.

      • ninermd says:

Yeah right that’s why you brought up Steve young joe Montana and Jerry rice’ opinions before. When they benefited Alex smith. You’re a tool

  10. Neanderthal Offense says:

“CK7 is the best player in the National Football League”

    - Jon Gruden, 2/4/13

  11. NINERS says:

There are a lot of experts predicting that Smith will be named starter too…darn media bias! :)

  12. Rick says:

I don’t care. I trust Harbaugh and I will be 100% behind whoever starts against the Ewe Lambs.

Harbaugh has probably forgotten more about the QB position than the entire Cohn family and all the self proclaimed football experts on the blogosphere will know in a dozen lifetimes. Harbaugh knows what he is doing and he will make the right call. I am not worried.

  13. old coach says:

I’m actually a little more concerned with our D this week than our QB situation. The rams ran it down our throats last time and the D seems to flounder a little bit every 3 or 4 games. The O will be fine with AS or CK i believe it will be better with CK but i really hope the D comes up big this sunday. How bout a shut out

  14. 23jordan/ ROBOKAP!! says:

Today is going to be a banner day in Niner history. The day that Alex Smith finally got replaced for good. Once RoboKap is given this job, Alex will NEVER get it back. It’s a day I’ve been waiting for. Waiting for at least 7 years. He’s been a backup in a starters role long enough. I never want to see a sheep in wolve’s clothing again. Let’s bring on the new era! Go Niners!

    • bayareafanatic says:

While I would love that, I’m not so sure. What I am sure of is CK is the long term starter as of 2013. He is only going to get better and better.
Today we find out how big JH’s stones are though….

    • old coach says:

Jordan just in case Harbaugh surprises us all and stays with smith, what will your feeling about Harbaugh be? I know its hypothetical but i’m very curious what your feelings would be.

      • 23jordan/ ROBOKAP!! says:

        Old Coach,

I’d have to question why he made the decision. I can clearly see what Kaepernick brings to this offense. The quick strike capability that we simply don’t get from Smith. Our ability to go 80 yards in 2:43 is something that we’ve not had in several years around here.
I expect JH to make the right choice to give this team the best chance to win. That player clearly is Kaepernick. I think we are all starting to realize that we are going to have to beat the NY Giants to get to the super bowl. I have ZERO faith that Alex Smith can do that. Giant’s defensive coordinator knows exactly what to do with Alex Smith. Let him figure out how to deal with Kaepernick.
If he chooses Smith. It would shock me. He didn’t get sentimental when it came to him cutting Josh Johnson.( Even though we all saw him outplay Tolzein in San Diego) I don’t expect him to get sentimental now. He said the best players deserve to play. Let’s see if he implements that.

      • Prime Time says:

I think some of you forget that this decision has major implications to the other 52 players on the team. Forget about physical talents, what does this decision do for Harbaugh’s credibility and respect?
Some players might think this decision is which guy can win it all or it could mean, losing your job to injury is prevalent. With non guaranteed contracts how do you think the NFL player feels about that? Are you gonna go thru a wall for a guy that might skip you to the curb if you get hurt?
Look Alex needs to start against the Rams. If he blows you go with Kap the rest of the way. This way you do not upset your lockeroom and maintain your credibility with the other players.

      • ribico says:

        >>Our ability to go 80 yards in 2:43 is something that we’ve not had in several years around here.

        LOL.

“Several years” in welch-speak is actually about one week.

Have you forgotten about Jan 14?

        80 yards in 1:51, 85 yards in 1:28

I know haters are sick of hearing about that playoff win against the Saints, so how about some thing a little more recent?

        Sept 16, 67 yards in 1:12

        Oct 7, 72 yards in 0:52, 66 yards in 2:44

        Oct 29, 68 yards in 2:46, 80 yards in 3:32

CK didn’t introduce the quick strike drive around here. Kaep is going to be just fine, he doesn’t need to be puffed up by lying internet chumps.

      • rocket says:

Jordan just once I’d love to see a researched statement from you. This is why you are almost always wrong. You just fire things off the top of your head without thinking about it.

      • 23jordan/I told you so. says:

        Rocket,

Wasn’t wrong about who our starting QB is moving forward. I guess I did a little research this time. Soooooooo, I think it’s fair to say……” I told you so!”
        Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!

      • rocket says:

No, actually you told us Kap wasn’t the answer and should be traded. When your guy JJ got cut as I told you he would, Kap was the next in line for you to back as the Anti Smith. You are a blind squirrel who finally found a nut Jordan.

  15. Brodie2Washting says:

I think it’s all about the playoffs, which is mostly about the NY Giants. The 49ers need a jolt, a minor personality change to get over the Giants losses. I’m betting on Kaepernick starting.

Just a little idle musing… I wonder if the 49ers are mentally subtracting Alex Smith’s pay against the 2013 salary cap, making the new Bowman contract possible.

    • Brodie2Washington says:

What makes all this so hard is that both quarterbacks are likeable and deserving.

(Its definitely time for more coffee when I get my own nickname wrong.)

  16. Dee Phiant says:

This is all about JH whether he is believable. He says AS is my #1, AS is the captain, AS has a hot hand, AS doesn’t make many mistakes.
If he replaces AS, anybody in the locker room can’t trust his words anymore!

    • old coach says:

@Dee Football is a business and the players understand that clearly. They also understand what Harbaugh says to the media is just blowing smoke I imagine he tells the players what he really means to do in private and i’m sure they appreciate it that way.

      • Dee Phiant says:

A HC has to be believable in the lockerroom. If he starts benching a solid player for the latest flashy thing, he loses respect and will hear about when the going gets tough!
The funny thing about Last NO game is that the ONLY TD Kap threw was the kind that is designed for Alex…..

  17. Neanderthal Offense says:

Harbaugh was just showcasing Kaepernick so he can trade him for the #1 pick in the draft in 2013. I hear there’s a good quarterback coming out of Utah.

      • ribico says:

Flatlands, a world of two dimensions. Could Alex Smith, a one dimensional QB, have survived there? I kid.

No, I’ve not read it, but I do remember the reference to it in Carl Sagan’s Cosmos. I’ll have to check it out.

      • Neanderthal Offense says:

  19. I.P. Daily says:

I cannot believe some of these comments. I like Alex, great guy, dedicated and etc. But the coaching staff has worked with him the better part of two seasons and they can see both in practice and on the field that they win despite him. Too much work for the other team members covering for Alex’s inability to read defenses quickly, miss open players down field, take way too many sacks with a superior OL and etc. It’s over folks. He’s toast. Nice guy, probably end up on a desperate team, get the snot knocked out of him, and either retire or end up holding a clip board until he becomes a very good coach at 30.

  20. Mark says:

The real question is: Does Grant now count himself as one of the “experts” because he’s been trying to stir up a Quarterback Controversy in SF for months?

  21. MrSardonicus says:

    A prediction isn’t an opinion?

  22. old coach says:

Grant as it relates to this post can you define “expert” for me. I personally prefer media pundint

  23. Hoferfan67 says:

It will be a tough decision. Some say CK has through the roof upside. Others say AS is playing at a high level.

    A few thoughts:
AS has won a big stage playoff game. He not only won it, he came from behind twice to win it when he could have just crumbled under the pressure. I wouldn’t put the loss to the NYG’s in the Championship game *all* on AS. He hit two big TD plays early – one deep pass to VD for 73 yards and another for 28 yards – that many dismiss because of the third down deficiencies. But it was a tough team loss to take.

CK has played great this year in relief. But you have to keep his limited play in perspective. They were not playoff games or games where CK came from behind to win. It has been a very small sample size to date. CK played lights out against the Bears. Against the Saints, he did not play as well. The two poor passes, one for an INT and the other sure INT saved by RM, didn’t bode well for him. But he is tough to defend against with his arm and his feet.

If JH makes the decision to go with AS, I believe it was the turnover and poor pass in the endzone against the Saints that swayed him that way. If JH decides to go with CK, it will be his big play potential. Will the conservative JH take the risk with a young player with everything on the line? Will JH continue to have faith in AS to lead the team with better playmakers and a methodical yet conservative approach to the offense? TBD.

    • Jack Hammer says:

“Some say CK has through the roof upside. Others say AS is playing at a high level.”

2 things can be equally true.

    • Mark says:

Another thing to remember about Alex’s post season win against the Saints is he won that game not once but twice. The first time was on his legs (and it was a very pretty run) and the second time was a laser to Vernon Davis.

And remember this was in the playoffs against a very brutal Saints defense that was actually being paid bounties to injure our players. And then, of course, there was Drew Brees to contend with and that offense.

So much for Smith not being mobile, not being a good passer and not giving the Niners chances to win.

  24. Fansince 77 says:

There’s no question that CK is the QB for next year. Even the sal cap numbers spell that Smith’s days are numbered here.
That said, CK is not the answer to the SB for this year. Beating the Giants is.
Look at what they do to Aaron Rodgers, the BEST QB ON THE PLANET. As great at CK can be, it’s hard to think that he will be the difference against that team. It’s the running game. Plan and simple. And the D making it a slug fest like last year.
I think either QB can beat ATL.
I think CK can beat the PATs. But even though Alex stunk it up in the 2nd half against the Giants, I’d feel better about him under center agains them. Hope the QB who played in the reg season against them show up.

    • Chewie says:

The salary cap number for Smith is only 7.5 million if they keep him past April 1. In the grand scheme of things, that is really not that big of a number. They could easily choose to keep him as an expensive backup, or try to trade him. Would you rather have Smith as a backup or Tolzien?

      • Fansince 77 says:

I like Smith. I’m not a Smither. But I don’t think he wants to be a back-up. I think the Niners are pretty deep, but can use another OLB, and one more CB. They are set on the Offense, they just need better execution sometimes.
        That’s just me.

      • Mark says:

I think that, if Kaepernick is named the starter, either this season or it’s clear he will start next season, Smith will ask to be released.

He’s gone through too much here and sacrificed too much for this team to take a demotion after having the season he was having.

        And who could blame him?

  25. Neal says:

If Harbaugh wants to start the best player, CK win’s hand down, according to John Madden and Bill Romo, it is the best player plays, not because a man can’t lose your job because of injury seems to be irrelevant these days with some NFL teams.

Now that being said if you think AS is better than CK, it would be a landslide with GM and talent scouts around the league would take CK as the better player and CK will have a much better career. Not saying much now but

  26. Nick says:

Rams head coach Fisher said that CK7 stretches the field and that coupled with a solid running game makes the Niner offense very hard to defend.

If I were Fisher, I would be praying for AS to get the start. That’s why JH will name CK7 the starter. He strikes fear in other teams.

Also, since we’re nearing Christmas, here’s an analogy that might be suitable. Baalke, Niner ownership, and coaching staff have their new gift/toy in CK7. Which do you think they prefer? The new exciting and dynamic toy or the old sometime reliable boring one?

  27. bayareafanatic says:

My favorite lines in this article,

Colin lacks the experience Alex has, but he has shown he is a fast learner and has great self-confidence. He is no shrinking violet. Also, he has faced decent defenses and done well. Last game he made two mistakes that I could see — after a poor snap he threw a ball he should not have, and he threw a bad pass to Moss in the end zone. One resulted in an interception, the other would have were it not for Moss’ amazing defensive move. I think Colin has probably learned from that and that, if he is allowed to continue to start, will continue to improve and be a better quarterback in the playoffs than he is now. Sure, there might be times he will be fooled by a creative defensive scheme, but he has amazing feet and an amazing arm that enable him to create something out of nothing. Imagine how difficult it is for an opposing coach to prepare against a quarterback like him. Whom do you think Coughlin would rather prepare against? As I write this, I don’t even know why there is any doubt about who should start. The kid has become the guy we all hoped he would when they drafted him. Amazing talent and amazing coaching. Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!

  30. Jack Hammer says:

Other than his veteran status, what else does Smith bring to the table that is better than Kaepernick?

    • Neanderthal Offense says:

      The Thong!!!

    • htwaits says:

One thing neither of them do well is a jump ball to someone like Moss. I’ve wondered if Davis has a problem with jump ball catches. He can go up for the ball on the run, but I don’t recall him ever looking good in a semi flat footed situation.

Moss was in a semi flat footed situation and Kaepernick threw a flat pass to him instead of floating the ball to the back of the end zone. I wondered if that’s what Moss was explaining to him on the side lines. We were lucky that there wasn’t offensive interference called on that play.

    • Nick says:

Answer: a solid caddy and a proven parade car driver

  31. old coach says:

@Neal it is our opinion only i just believe its important to express it that way. IMHO

  32. fesnyc says:

as a natural born contrarian, i’m *guessing* Harbaugh names Alex the starter. it would fulfill his strange “we have 2 starters/hot hands” language, and it doesnt put all his chips (momentarily) on a young man with 18 months experience at the all important qb position.

but i’m *hoping* he goes with Kaep, because as much as I respect Alex’s fortitude and improvement, i’d like to see if Kaep is a guy who can play at a higher level, who can take the pressure off the defense, convert more third downs, etc.

  33. Adam707 says:

They’re advertising this press conference on ESPN like its Lebron in 2010. Let’s just hope Harbaugh doesn’t take his talents to south beach.

    • Neanderthal Offense says:

That was such a witch hunt. LeBron demanded and received $5M for The Decision, all of which went to the Boys and Girls Clubs. Most overhated athlete: LeBron. Most underhated athlete: Drew Brees.

      • Adam707 says:

Agreed. I for one love Lebron, fav player in the league. What he does on and off the court is remarkable

  34. highpriest333 says:

The big question is, can Kap consistently play up to his higher upside now? If the coaches think the answer is yes, he’s our starter..

  35. MontanaMan says:

90% of the so-called “Experts” picked the Saints to beat us too! Just sayin!

  36. Spaceborn says:

C’mon, Harbaugh, get to the podium!

  37. Jack Hammer says:

Grant needs to jump up and get on TV.

  38. Spaceborn says:

    Here we go, Kaepernick startss!

  39. Jack Hammer says:

    BOOM!

  40. Nick says:

JH will get up to the podium and say: We’ll announce the starter on Saturday night

  41. Spaceborn says:

Already announced live, Kaepernick is the starter for sure!

  42. FDM says:

Kap is the future now, Alex is done in SF.

  43. Jack Hammer says:

Ok. Now that that’s over, let’s win.

  44. I.P. Daily says:

    Yup… no brainer.

  45. 23jordan/I told you so. says:

23Jordan says, ” I TOLD YOU SO!” It’s a new era and I love it!!!

  46. Spaceborn says:

Harbaugh didn’t look like he got a lot of sleep last night. Neither did I, lol.

  47. Mood_Indigo says:

Well, Kaep, buddy, just make sure you win that sixth one in February. No pressure….

  48. jgwindsor says:

    let’s go CK….

i was chuckling all through the press conference ….. JH is tired of plowing

i need to see a transcript of what JH said …. sounded like he is saying CK is starting the rams game and leaving things open going forward…

but the ball is in CK’s court for sure

rice changed JH grade from a B to a D

    this is such grand theater

    • Jack Hammer says:

“…. sounded like he is saying CK is starting the rams game and leaving things open going forward…”

Think he said not to assume this is set moving forward.

    • Spaceborn says:

LOL, half the transcript will be Harbaugh saying, “I think we’ve plowed that question before . . .”

  49. AngusinCanada says:

How are you all watching this??? Is nobody besides me working? Arrghh.

  50. bayareafanatic says:

    Oh no,
I just read that a depressed man wearing a spandex suit with number #11 drawn on the back in permanent marker just attempted suicide by jumping out of a building. My guess is it was oneniner. Poor fella.
Don’t worry, he didn’t die. It was a one story building.

  51. Neal says:

This is a time to reflect, a time to unite, a time to say Glory Glory Halleluiah. I see the light and it is shining bright. Hey Smithers is Jim Harbaugh considered a Hater. hahahahahahahhahaha

  52. Jack Hammer says:

What happened to Hofer? He was commenting right before the announcement and now is gone…
