Here’s what Jim Harbaugh said at his Monday press conference about the St. Louis Rams in general and their quarterback, Sam Bradford, in particular.
HARBAUGH: [The Rams] are playing good football. I think it’s an improved team. It seems like they’re doing a very good job.
Q: Did you watch film of them this week?
HARBAUGH: Yes.
Q: What new challenges do they present your team?
HARBAUGH: New challenges…schematically? Personnel-wise? Personnel-wise they’re a much healthier team than they were a year ago. There are some things that are new schematically. Some new personnel.
Q: What have you seen from Rams’ QB Sam Bradford this season? How has he improved?
HARBAUGH: He’s always been a pretty top-notch guy. We didn’t see him last year – he was inactive for both games that we played against him. He’s got all the things you look for in a top-notch quarterback in this league: Calm demeanor in the pocket; excellent technique, footwork, arm strength; real good location. Good football player.

I think Harbaugh is borrowing a page out of Bill Walsh’s book. As I recall a typical BW press conference leading up to a game went something like this:
We are really worried about XXXXX. I just don’t know how we will stop him.
The YYYY are a brilliantly coached team. they really have no weaknesses.
We have our work cut out for us this week.
We are quacking in our shoes.
It may not be worth it for us to even show up. We may as well forfeit the game now.
(OK the last two were big time exaggerations on my part, but you get the idea).
In the end the final score was something like 49ers 35 YYYY 10.
Rick thats sounds like a pretty damn good impersonation of bill walsh. he could make my mom and 10 of her friends sound like the 85 bears
Interesting stats from the AFC: the Broncos and the Colts are both 5-3 and Manning and Luck have thrown for exactly the same number of yards, 2,404.
Off-topic here a bit – still QB-related though.
No football yesterday reduced me to watching the Raiders.
Who was it on here a couple years ago advocating we get Carson Palmer? Geeee Sus. I’m so glad the inmates don’t run the asylum.
@Adam
But Palmer does have (or did have) a gun of an arm and can throw deep on every down — which is what defines a QB for many fans and “analysts”.
Adam
I bet you that same person(s) will still advocate getting Palmer to replace Smith.
Adam besides Palmer, there was Kobb, and McNab, and a whole arraay of others that lots wanted and thankfully didnt get.
Q: Did you watch film of them this week?
A. Uhh, No! We spent our entire bye week fishing out in the bay, then Dad and I flew out to Ohio for John’s game. He coaches the Ravens so me and pops wanted to see that. Just got back last night and I’m gonna check out a little film when I’m done here! Really? Who wasted the parents money they saved for college on that question?
Is this a true quote?
If the prophecy is right and the bad oman is true skins lost at home bye bye obama!
I forgot about that! Sweet
In your dreams. Obama is here 4 more years and after that hillary clinton takes over.
“Calm demeanor in the pocket; excellent technique, footwork, arm strength; real good location.”
Umm … has anyone seen this Sam Bradford? Did Harbaugh watch the Packers game film by mistake?
Duh. You are too easy to be fooled!
I believe most understand what his message means then again its you lemonbrain, your IQ is not something to brag about!

Bradford is going through the same thing Smith went through. Bad team, taking a beating and on his 3rd OC in 3 seasons. I hope for his sake they stabalize now that Fisher has taken over.
