Jacobs: “I feel really good now – that’s all I can elaborate on.”

SANTA CLARA – Brandon Jacobs spoke at his locker Tuesday afternoon. Here’s what he said about his health and his mindset.

Q: Your knee is feeling pretty good?

JACOBS: Yeah. I’ve had a long break (chuckles). I feel good. I’m working hard every day.

Q: Do you feel better now than you have in years past because of the long break?

JACOBS: I feel really good now – that’s about all I can elaborate on.

Q: Just to be clear – your health is not an issue?

JACOBS: To me, no. I practice every day. If something was wrong, I wouldn’t do that.

Q: You don’t feel behind, do you?

JACOBS: Nuh-uh (shakes head). I work hard every day – that’s the answer I’ll go with. Go talk to Coach Harbaugh for everything else you want to know. I’m not elaborating about it because every time I do, it seems I get destroyed in the media for it, so I’m not going to say anything about it. I’m going to come to work every day, work hard and that’s that. I’m going to enjoy these days with my teammates, and that’s that. That’s all I can do, right?

He’s getting it. Well done Mr. Jacobs.

  2. Da-Hayn-49er says:

Hope you get sometime in Brandon, Kick ass.

  3. Johnny Christo says:

Someone tell the big brute that Harbaugh is saving him for late in the season when a guy like him will just make life painful for all the broken down opponents we’re gonna face. 8.0 YPC? Probably…

    • f49er says:

I hope you’re right about that because clearly he’s ready to go & yet the Rookie TE Celek suits up every week?

As Rick Watters would say…”For Who…For What?”

  4. undercenter says:

Jacobs is salvating to run behind this line. He knows its good and he wants his chance – thats a good thing.

  5. Grimey9er says:

If the Niners run their offense faster they could get more plays and more touches for everybody. They don’t need to run 75-80 plays per game but going from 55 to 65 would make their playmakers a little happier.

Obama covers the spread! Were I a betting man, I could have made some money on that.

    YES WE CAN.

@ninermd – you are truly a born loser. Everything you go against wins.

I am just glad a liberal is getting picked to the supreme court

      Jack,

Great article. I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned limiting the big play for the Rams. Sam Bradford ranks #32 in the league in pass attempts > 15 yards (Alex Smith is ranked #34 in the league in this category). The Rams are #24 while the 49ers are #28 in pass yards per game. The Rams are #28 in the league in pass plays >20 yards but 40 yards. The Rams are not really successful in th passing game but they do have the ability to hit the bombs. Bradford throws a great deep ball and they have fast receivers. The 9ers can’t let this one stay close for too long.

  9. AES* says:

BJac is tip-toeing his way around this, and it’s obvious he is completely out of the loop of his playing time status.

I would like to see BJac get in some playing time against the Rams this weekend if he’s healthy to play. Because our run game has been so successful, even a healthy BJac could be an after thought at the moment.

Grant, how much longer are you going to continue your poll?

I believe that no one will knock-off P.Willis from the top. P.Will has run a well oiled and organized campaign thereby garnering all electoral and the popular votes (lol).
