Delanie Walker on playing the Cardinals: “We just want to get a win. It doesn’t matter if it’s big.”

SANTA CLARA – Delanie Walker spoke at his locker Thursday afternoon. Here’s what he said.

Q: If Vernon Davis doesn’t play, will you start at tight end, or will Garrett Celek?

WALKER: I’ll take Vernon’s (position), and when we go with two tight ends, he’ll take Vernon’s and I’ll do the same role I usually do.

Q: What do you think about Vernon’s availability?

WALKER: I’m not sure, but he seems fine. He’s walking around, talking to everybody. We just have to see.

Q: What do you want to see out of this offense in the final regular season game?

WALKER: We just have to play fast and execute and play 49er football. That all I want to see – us be ourselves. I felt like we weren’t ourselves in that game and we have to get back to that.

Q: Is a win enough to generate momentum for the playoffs, or do you have to win big?

WALKER: We just want to get a win. It doesn’t matter if it’s big. We just want to go into the postseason with a W.

Q: If Vernon doesn’t play, is it a good opportunity for you to show the rest of the league you’re a starting-caliber tight end?

WALKER: My job every week is to prove I can be the No.1 tight end. With Vernon down, it just gives me more opportunity to get the ball.

Q: It seems like you’ve developed a nice rapport with Kaepernick. Has that been fairly natural?

WALKER: I don’t want to say that. I think I just get open and Kaep sees me and throws me the ball. I made a couple of plays for him. When you make plays for a quarterback, he tends to try to go to the guys who’s making plays.

    Anyone here seen “Django Unchained”?

If so, what think you about the similarities between Samuel L. Jackson’s character and VD? I’d love (for once) to hear him say what he really feels!

Seriously? You really are pretty dumb, Prime. Wasn’t it two days ago that you were writing on Grant’s blog, “The Cohns are liars”

and then you were deleted, again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again …

      do you get it?

Prime, you got kicked out for violating the decorum of the site and not following the blog rules. In response, you are violating the blog rules by trolling, posting dozens of zero-content posts.

You’ve basically PROVEN that you cannot follow the rules.

Why would Grant even care to talk to you?

What you should have done, was contact Grant through the P-D and apologize in the first place.

Now, it’s probably a waste of your time and our bandwidth.

You can appeal to someone’s better nature and their dignity – but only if they have them.
