SANTA CLARA – LaMichael James spoke at his locker Thursday afternoon. Here’s what he said.
Q: You said earlier you were hitting the hole a little too fast. Have you adjusted to that?
JAMES: I have not. I really haven’t, but I will eventually. I’ve just got to keep doing me and not try to be someone else. Just continue doing what I’m doing. If I’m going to hit it fast, so be it. At least I’m hitting it fast.
Q: Do you remember your last touchdown before the one you got in the NFC Championship game?
JAMES: I definitely do not. Last year.
Q: What has Randy Moss’ presence meant to this team, and what is your relationship with him like?
JAMES: Randy is my guy. 1a, 1b. Me and him. He gives me a lot of life lessons. Not only football, but life in general. On the field he’s a competitor. He’s a savvy player. He knows the ins and outs. I think he just keeps everybody motivated.
Q: Do you think he’s been misunderstood?
JAMES: Most definitely. Randy’s a great guy. I wouldn’t trade him for anybody else.

From the glowing reviews he’s had from the players since joining the Niners, it sounds like Moss could make a good WR coach in the future.
+1. It sure sounds like it.
It’s a very tantalizing thought. Except that playing and coaching are two completely different skill sets (ask a pretty good player, Mike Singletary!). Doesn’t mean Randy can’t coach…but we’re ahead of ourselves here. Right now, I’m just really happy that he’s turned out to be the great teammate everyone says he is.
I don’t get your comment on singletary. Sure he wasn’t a good head coach but As a linebacker position coach he has coached and developed the best inside linebackers in the league. Moss could probably make for a good receivers coach- he has a wealth of experience to draw from.
Coach jim ,was a qb and now a coach so loose the singelteery coment mike sing help biuld this team
@Ohio…
If you’re gonna post on this website, learn how to spell and use punctuation…..it just makes it easier to read your post and understand your position..
So Moss is not only a gifted WR but also a life coach. Who knew?
My friend did a project where he got to interview Randy Moss, in his prime and he said nothing but great things about Randy.
I guess that means the interview didn’t take place during the raider years.
@Rollo
It’s weird though. Looking at Moss’ time with the RayDuhs he seemed like a, like a, ….bad guy. But he was elected Team Captain by his teammates….. I was confused. Then he rises like a Phoenix in Bean Town and everybody loves him and he’s just killing it.
See? We were all missing something (info/insight) on his first Bay Area stint……still don’t know what.
Grant, what do you know about Datone Jones?
Eric Fisher, offensive tackle, Central Michigan – Fisher has been the big winner so far of the senior bowl. Mike Mayock of NFL Network said it is not too early to rule him out as the number one tackle in the class.
Datone Jones, 3-4 defensive end, UCLA – Jones was the only person to beat Eric Fisher all day and he is starting to look more and more like a top 50 prospect. That’s what we know as of right now…
Datone is going to move up the boards Razor!
My draft crush right now is Quinton Patton WR -pair with Crabs and we have some mojo workin!

Hey Michael, Fansedge has stuff for toddlers here: http://www.fansedge.com/San-Francisco-49ers-Toddler-Apparel-_303861824_PG.html
Be kind of nice for Roman to throw everyone off and target Randy a lot in this game. Heck, what if he had the first pass thrown to Jenkins?
*watched the highlights again a couple of hours ago – wow, can Kaep fling that ball. Were people talking about a slow release? Geez, he looked like Namath. What a future he has with the 49ers.
Randy Moss is the most underrated WR ever. Yes, I said underrated. The media told lies long enough and did not show enough good film of him throughout his career. Moss is a hard worker and a competitor. He’s more wise than anyone thinks. Bellichick says he’s the smartest WR
Best WR of all time
Best WR of all time? Have you had a coffee yet?
Jerry Rice than Randy Moss but if Moss had Montana,Brees,Young or any qb other than Dante Cullpepper we might be talking a different story.
That would be one Jerry Rice. Most physicaly gifted WR of all time? you got a case going
Rice once made a comment about what he would have been able to do with Randy or Terrell’s athletic ability. Rice is the greatest PLAYER of all time, let alone WR. Moss, along with Calvin Johnson, may be the most naturally talented player I have ever seen at the WR position. A physical freak. Rice was a very good athlete that desired to be the very best in every aspect of his game, and he was.
Big P
+1000
I know everyone says Jerry was the GOAT and for the total package, he was. But Moss is the most physically gifted I’ve ever watched play. 17 TDs his rookie season? C’mon …
That is phrased better. Moss and Owens had the most ‘ability’ that I’ve seen the last 25+ years. Rice was the hardest working\most productive.
Unbelievably impressive what Colin has been able to do, especially when you consider that he has less career starts than the rookie QB’s.
Interesting site you have. I wish the 49ers would have a better QB. Anybody that mocks Jesus is a very bad individual. I thought Dilfer was a bad QB, CK is a worse QB then him.
Spam? You can’t be a real person.
I was a 49er fan a long time ago until Jed York’s family stole the team. Then the foolish one in Tagliabue refused to investigate. The Yorks were allowed to ruin the team. Jed York only took over to make fans spend their money foolishly on a high school team that can’t pass. Jim Harbaugh is an arrogant man that betrayed Alex Smith for 30 pieces of silver, like Jesus was betrayed. For Alex Smith to say CK is a great individual, I feel sorry for a man forced to say things that are not his own. CK is going to wind up with a bad injury for God says so through me. Read option quarterbacks are a failure in the NFL.
This is the troll of all trolls, guys. Best to just ignore him, believe me.
When you have 2 QBs that can’t pass in the Superbowl, it makes for an epic disaster in the making.
Only one way to deal with this type of stupidity:

Perhaps this troll is here to unite us!!!
Hilarious. Darren35 from Barrows’ blog strikes again.
He doesn’t believe any of the $hit he writes. He just enjoys trolling and watching to see who’ll bite. Sounds like he doesn’t have much going on in his life.
I believe we’ve a visit from our friend Darren 35!
I don’t know who you think I am, but I am a 49er fan. I just don’t like what York has done and I don’t like CK that promotes himself when he kisses his bicep like that of Paul Orndorf, Ken Patera, or other ‘rastlers’ that you all seem to say that they’re fake. What’s CK gonna do next, promote the CK vitamins and say what’cha gonna do when teh Kaepnerick runs wild on you? I am a longtime 49er fan that misses the old days of Eddie D and great QBs we had in the past. CK will never be a good QB if he can’t pass.
That’s good rastlin!

I’m sorry did i miss something? when did CK mock Jesus?
Yes he did. He mocked Tebow as well, and by doing so, I made Tebow worse off then he already is.
I agree with Clipboard… until Cap walks on water I say bring back Jeff Garcia!!! I don’t want no witch hunt mockery happening to my Holiest of Holy team the San Francisco Golden Gods!!!
Niners are rumored to be interested in Revis along with N.E., Seattle and a couple other teams. I say we offer Smith to the Jets along with a 6th rounder for Revis.
I say we make that deal ASAP. Revis has to want to play for a super bowl champion. A perennial super bowl contender for the next 5 years. Our secondary is
now the weak link of this team. A shut down corner would make this defense supreme. Take a look at Revis or Talib. Preferably Revis. Talib might be trouble.
We took the wrong Jenkins last April
What happened was Baalke wrote the wrong first name down, and by the time he realized his mistake it was too late, the envelope was already sealed…
Jordan i think at best Smith will bring a very late 2nd rd pick but more likely a 3rd rd pick. Revis is worth a 1st. I believe the only way you could package smith for revis is we give up our first and smith for the Jets 3rd and 4th.
I meant the jets 3rd, 4th and Revis
The knock on Revis has been injuries. If you trade for first round talent, you want him on the field 100% of the time.
I personally have no idea how often Revis gets injured. This is coming from several on-air radio personalities I’ve been listening to lately.
Anyone know whether Revis has been injury prone, other than being out for this season?
Coach,
Revis can’t fetch a 1st rounder simply because of the injuries and his contract demands. He’s never content with his contract. However, I like his game and I think he’d love to be here. If we can’t get him, we certainly don’t want to see Seattle get him.
I will be happy if Seattle took Revis. I feel bad that they couldn’t win again. Goodell needs to realign the NFC West and put seattle back in the AFC.
Here’s a good piece to entice you to drop $150

Please release Alex Smith so he may go to Arizona. This division is bad when the 49ers win it and Sea/St. Louis/Arizona lose each year.
