Anthony Dixon getting a playoff touchdown is just awesome for where he was this preseason

  46. ribico says:

    Helllll YEAH!!!!

    Who’s disappointed now, Aaron?

  47. Neal says:

    Oh yea

  48. WTF Jones says:

    Looking good!

  49. Crab15 says:

    I want 50!

  50. Razoreater says:

now i want Seattle and Atlanta to knock the snot out of each other

  52. JohnJPDX says:

    Is it time for AS?

  53. Neal says:

    Love my team,great game plan.

  54. msclemons67 says:

45 points. I didn’t think the 49ers’ offense could do that.

    • Brotha Tuna says:

If I’d seen the final score before the game was played, I would’ve expected Rogers won a shoot out. Way to go Kaepernicus! Way to go Niners!

  55. ribico says:

OK guys, save some for the Seahawks.

  56. MontanaMan16 says:

    Who did Grant pick?

  57. fesnyc says:

    Joe Staley, Croix de Guerre

  58. Neal says:

I want to play Hawks and then the Pats, number 6 Lombardi

  59. msclemons67 says:

Back-to-back 93 yard touchdown drives. Wow. Buck came up with an interesting fact.

  60. Jp says:

What do you think now Grant about your prediction? 31-27 Packers????

    • MontanaMan16 says:

Is that what he did? Thanks Grant!!!

    • fesnyc says:

i dont think that was a bad call – it looks bad now, but a lot of TV/sportswriting pundits saw it that way too. Rodgers is dangerous. but the Niners are better!

    • Hoferfan67 says:

Cool your jets! Who cares? The Pack didn’t have an answer for CK’s wheels. That was the difference.

      • NinerNation says:

The Pack didn’t have a answer for Kap’s arm too.

Bottom Line………. They had no answer for Kap PERIOD.

    • Allan says:

      Stop criticizing Grant’s predicition.

Most guys here ASKED him to pick the packers.

      Grant,

If you pick against the Niners all the way to the Superbowl I promise never to criticize your opinions in the future.

      You know…very superstition…

      • msclemons67 says:

I picked the 49ers but I have a decided bias.

If I were neutral and placing a bet in Vegas I probably would have bet on the Packers. Can’t blame Grant for going with 99% of the pundits out there.

  61. Grimey9er says:

Niners didn’t have a lot to show for dominating the ball in the first half. But it showed in the second half. Packers got worn out. The bye week certainly made a difference as well.

  62. 49er42 says:

    Wow
I never thought we would be this good on offense. 45 points in the playoffs with a QB who has played 7 games.
    this is a great day.

  63. ribico says:

Again, Harbaugh shows he’s steps, no make that miles, in front of the media, pundits, (some ;) fans.

    • NinerNation says:

No doubt Rib, and all 49ers benefit. Hopefully all this civil war can end on here. It’s us against the rest of the NFL world!

  64. Foamingatdamouth says:

Time to send in Alex Smith, so they can protect the franchise QB!

  65. JohnJPDX says:

Key was keeping the ball away from Rodgers by long scoring drives, Had to beat that.

  66. msclemons67 says:

No reason for Justin Smith to be on the field now. Give the Cowboy a rest.

  67. Loony says:

Y is there so much hatred for Alex tho we good no need to go there @ Domingo we good Kap doing his thing but what fan of 49ers hates or talks smack about there players that haven’t done anything wrong he was a good quarter back led the team last year and was 3 rd rated best about when he got switched but if 49er fans were worried about the switch that’s normal they should its their team and they just want the best if you a 49er fan than show them love n the fact that Kap is doing his thing and show them they can now trust not mistreat another 49er an that’s ur Allie URL brother enough with breaking up our fans over bs and picking sides we all one and just commend Alex for his great time served and best of luck that’s it

  68. tkamB says:

Carlos Rogers deserves some props for this game, completely shut down one of the best slot wrs in the game.

    • msclemons67 says:

Jones is the only receiver who has done much and his production came on great plays against good coverage. The entire secondary deserves some props.

      • tkamB says:

Very true, but after week 1 I thought Rogers was going to get torn up again. Really stepped his game up.

  69. Prime Time says:

Green Bay is a soft team. I want SEA next at home then play the Ravens in the big dance at the big easy!

  70. BigP says:

    A monster day for CK:

    17/31 for 263 yards 2 TD 1 INT

14 rushes for 183 yards (NFL record for a QB regular or post-season) and 2 TD

Pretty unbelievable when you think about it.

  71. Loony says:

Our team is hot they confident and I see a true star(CK7) arise and get that leadership aura to take control, we need that going into next week and show the league we ready n how last year was unfortunate and not only lucky of the giants but we would of got by if not for the ref with that bad call on 4 th quarter where we forced a fumble and they called a dead ball which there would be no overtime and Super Bowl would’ve been ours this year we on the brinks again and coming…

  72. ribico says:

    Get out the brooms!

  73. I.P. Daily says:

I wish they wouldn’t let the other teams score at the close of the game. I understand they don’t want the defense to get hurt but still…

  74. Big Suede says:

Well, I guess we won’t be hearing from any Smithers for another week as they go hide in their holes.

  75. fesnyc says:

kinda funny that DW is always the designated onside-kick catcher…

  76. Crab15 says:

    Webster dictionary –
    Du-al Threat
    1. Kap

  77. Grimey9er says:

    LaMichael>JerMichael

  78. Allan says:

Harbaughs on conference finals second year in a row.

    Guys are good coaches.

  79. tkamB says:

Nobody has it better than us

  80. MontanaMan16 says:

6 hours of Harbaughs today is way better than 3 hours of Petie tomorrow!

  81. Allan says:

You guys remember early in the season Grant criticizing Harbaugh for not drafting Andy Dalton and getting Kaeprnick instead?

    Yeah, right.
    Good analysis…

  82. msclemons67 says:

I know it was garbage time and it didn’t matter but that bogus PI call on Brown’s interception really pissed me off.

  83. NinerNation says:

Kap 16 rushes for 181 yrds = New Playoff Record!

  84. Foamingatdamouth says:

We just witnessed a team stepping their game up for a Championship run. 2 more to #6!

  85. Grimey9er says:

There’s fireworks in my hood right now.

  86. undercenter says:

On another bright note its looking like LMJ can play in this league.

    • Grimey9er says:

Didn’t a certain someone say he couldn’t? I wonder who would say something ridiculous and totally premature like that.

  87. Loony says:

Stop it guys with the waste if energy all that are “Smithers” or whatever you wanna call it are still 9er fans however you look at it and this is stupid it’s ok to be worried and have opinions about how a team is going web something is changed if they didn’t see it they do now and should believe but that’s part Boeing a fan now the people who keep up with the taunts need to stop the childishness because its not needed why would you even wanna bash a fellow 49er don’t get it the enemy is other teams an their fans what did I miss?…

  88. msclemons67 says:

Now we have to pray the 2-1-2-1-2-1 curse is broken next week.

  89. Domingo says:

Colin Kaepernick was sensational tonight. Best pass/run combo QB since Steve Young.

  90. FUNX says:

The Cenataur put it down tonight. In the air and on the ground

  91. Tyrant.com says:

Terry Bradshaw said that was some of the best quarterbacking he’s ever seen

  92. Crazy E says:

Perm-a-fricking-grin. What a display by a freak of an athlete and a team prepared to take it to them. So stoked right now…living in SoCal but loving our home field advantage. I want Seattle and I want the rubber match. Let’s go Niners.

  93. Crab15 says:

Kap breaks NFL record! Most rushing yards ever in game by QB. EVER!

  94. Steelematic says:

Kap ran more today than he did the last 6 weeks combined. i believe coach had him not running for a reason. more to hide for the playoffs…

  95. msclemons67 says:

    “ESPN Stats & Info ‏@ESPNStatsInfo

49ers gain franchise playoff record 579 yards. The other 4 times they’ve gone over 450 in a playoff game, they won the Super Bowl.”

    Homina homina homina

  96. MontanaMan16 says:

I think Kap running was good scouting. I dont think we did that by accident!

  97. Steelematic says:

People, even though we were 2.5 point favorites i still think we SHOCKED THE WORLD. Nobody thouggt we would win a shootout and alot of ppl thought rodgers was gonna kill us. Go BALKEE GO HARBAUGH GO NINERS

  98. Neal says:

Where are all of the lame Seahawk fans, they should be concened if they get by the Falcons.

  99. MontanaMan16 says:

Justin smith had the pitch count I thought he would. Looked 95% to me. Not wishful thinking!

    • msclemons67 says:

He looked pretty good, especially once the Packers went one-dimensional. That was a relief.

    • TIM says:

After they announced that two D linemen were being deactivated for the game today I pretty much thought they believed Justin was going to be fine. If they were worried they would have activated at least one of them.

  100. Loony says:

Lets go niners we are officially a playoff presence our first playoff game and definately a preview to what’s comin on our champ. Run

  101. Jack Hammer says:

Great night to be a 49ers fan! They turned the cheeseheads into fondue tonight.

Who’s ready to go bird hunting next Sunday afternoon?!?!

  102. Fansince 77 says:

Okay I’m cool with the switch now. Jim Harbaugh… please continue…

    • Loony says:

No doubt me too and we still all 9er fans so united we stand and united we shall destroy we are exactly at the same place as we left off last year so if anything this is where we say Kap got is as far as we did last year and believe he will go farther and thank the coach at the end either way because we didn’t fall short

      • Fansince 77 says:

I know some peeps that I was a Smith Fan. I like Smith, I just wasn’t sure the switch was a good move in the middle of the season.
The best part was the bounce back from the pick-six…

    • 23jordan/ says:

      Fan,

There’s a seat in the back seat of the bandwagon. Put your seat belt on and welcome aboard!

  103. Tyrant.com says:

Not only is kaps athletic ability otherworldly, but he does some of the best slight of hand I’ve ever seen. He was faking the packers out of their jocks

    • msclemons67 says:

That play where Clay Matthews spun around in circles was a crack up

    • NinerNation says:

People mock his arm strength and try to undermine his passing ability but he shut all that sh1t down tonight on the big stage! Kap was throwing f@cking lasers on a dime!

  104. Loony says:

Common Grant give us those beautiful ratings and hand out some A+ ‘s lol

  105. msclemons67 says:

I just realized… I can’t wash this 49ers t-shirt and I must wear it again next weekend. I’m going to be a bit ripe.

    • michael says:

I wore my Steve Young Jersey from the last time the 49ers played the Packers in the playoffs. When we beat the Patriots I wore my Rice Jersey. So I think I might go with my Montana jersey on Sunday.

  106. Loony says:

I did think Peyton was going to win and that was going to be our matchup at the dance but hey less of a threat whoever can get we got Justin back so our defense is destroying and for a team with a great we got Kappy that will run a blitz side ways lol

    • MontanaMan16 says:

If Peyton didn’t go down this week, they were going down next week. They are not battle tested. They haven’t played a decent team since mid October. Ravens were beat up a couple weeks ago!

  107. Brotha Tuna says:

    Tonight Turlock trumps Chico!

  108. Neal says:

    Rodgers knockout

  109. dc9er says:

    what a game :)

    • NinerNation says:

      lol nice one!

Defense totally shut down Randall Cobb too & so-called NFL experts said he would kill us.

      • MontanaMan16 says:

Ya, so much for problems with the slot!

@ms Thats cool. I posted that on FB Friday! I guess I was a little confident. Just got done watching our week 1 matchup when I did it!

    • Nick says:

      MSC
      That was classic

    • Nick says:

      MSC

Did you see Tedford behind the GB bench? I wonder if he was there to support Rodgers and Ross or the team.

  110. Chicago49er says:

All i have to say is GO NINERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! KAP is the Man and the future. He shut all the nay sayers tonight and broke the nfl record! I am so proud of CK regard less of what happens. Can you imagine if we had another good wide out like Crabtree! and Crabtree is my hero. I watched the game with a few other Niner fans in a bar full of packer fans and it was so much fun to cheer this team. GO KAP baby, jim made the right move.

  111. Chicago49er says:

Whats even more sweet about this game is the huge win despite how the refs called everything against us! I have never seen more bad calls in a game, the refs were just all about the packers tonight.

  112. Alan M says:

Who does everyone want to play next week? Seattle to get them at home and get revenge for a few weeks ago, or Atlanta because beating the top seed going into the SB is more of an impressive feat?

    • Chicago49er says:

I want to play the Seahawks at home! I do not like their coach and it would be nice to wipe that smile from his face. GO NINERS

  113. Alan M says:

I’m thrilled, but I do have a question: How about a little more Celek and a little less Butterfingers Walker?

    • Brodie2Washington says:

Walker was just clearing out his “drop a day” quota for he won’t have anymore woopsies for the post season.

    • Chicago49er says:

Alan, if you count the number of dropped balls between Walker and VD you can see easily Colin could have had over 350 yards in passing alone! We need a few more ball catchers in this offense to give Colin more options. How about Crabtree baby!

  114. Loony says:

I wanna play whoever has the guts to step up with us the way we are playing now and with the team we have right now that we got Justin back even though we still have side liners after injuries we ready right now and healthy lets go while its hot and rip through this sh*t

  115. oldcoach says:

Incredible O game plan by G. Roman so lets all shut the hell up about how Roman ca’nt call plays or game plan

    • Brodie2Washington says:

Absolutely! Considering how thin the receiving corps is, the explosion of yardage is incredible!

    • Brotha Tuna says:

Yeah (*snicker*). And Gore is all washed up too.

    • Chicago49er says:

Oldcoach i was so proud of this OL last night, Joe came to play and they just smashed the packers, making cheese puffs all night long!!!

  116. oldcoach says:

i was’nt on earlier and i ca’nt find grants prediction who did he pick for tonights game?

  117. I.P. Daily says:

Crabs is doing his interview with the shades on and the mop of hair doing a great Stevie Wonder too.. very cool.

  118. MontanaMan16 says:

” He tatted and spatted” haha I like that!

  119. Crab15 says:

    Beat the birds next week!

  120. NinerNation says:

How long before Clay Matthews says they beat themselves again?

  121. Daniners says:

I never, ever, ever, ever want to hear another word about Smith. I have been telling smith lovers to bug off since Kaeps first start. The next big thing in the NFL just arrived and his name is Colin CK7 Kaepernick.

    • Grimey9er says:

You’re gonna hear a lot of Smith. There’s three of ‘em on the roster.

    • MontanaMan16 says:

God forbid something happening to Kap, but if Alex is needed, you are gonna love that he’s there. Ask Minnesota and alot of other teams!

      • Daniners says:

Not for 25m I don’t love him. Give me some better depth on DL, shutdown corner and a true #2 WR.

      • MontanaMan16 says:

I’m talking this year, if the unlikely chance he was to stay past that, the contract would change. He’d have to take a cut!

    • Chicago49er says:

Danniner, i agree with you! so many people questioned Jim H for his move and CK! many bloggers even wanted to trade Colin and Crabtree! I personally liked Smith however there is noway he would have the same mojo and ability to carry the team on his shoulder!!!

  122. GarrettK says:

Known then as “the gun toting Angry Ostrich”

  123. Crab15 says:

Hofer – 3 years ago in here, I said Crabtree was the next Michael Irvin (minus the crack). Sometimes I’m right. :)

    • Daniners says:

Yeah he is the real deal moving forward…his fantasy value just skyrocketed for next season, eh

    • Chicago49er says:

Crab, Crabtree is better than Micheal Irvin. He is a true number one wideout with the desire to win. He was miss understood the entire time for being frustrated and not being on the same page with Smith.

  124. Adam707 says:

I say every position gets an A besides TE and DL

  125. Grant Cohn says:

I wrote a sidebar on Crabtree for the newspaper on deadline tonight. I’ll post the grades in the morning. Teaser: They’ll be high. Duh.

I’ll post the sidebar later tonight.

    • MontanaMan16 says:

Thanks Grant. I sure hope you come to terms we are just better than GB.lol

      • Grant Cohn says:

Ain’t that the truth. If I owned the Packers I would fire McCarthy and Capers.

      • MontanaMan16 says:

        Definitely Capers!

      • Alan M says:

Grant, I have a great idea for a post. The implications of keeping Alex, paying the bonus, and then trading him to another QB hungry team for a draft pick. What would the cap implications be? What would be the likelihood of being able to trade him and what would we probably get in return?

        You’re welcome :-)

      • MontanaMan16 says:

I seriously think that once you have to pay an elite qb, your defense pays the bill. I hope that don’t happen to us.

      • Brotha Tuna says:

OK, Grant. Fire McCarthy & Capers?
Even acknowledging that you’re just kidding around, and correct me if I’m not remembering right, but wasn’t one of your rationales for picking The Pack over The Niners Week #1 that they had better coaching? And now can them? I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t have fired Fangio, Roman and Harbaugh after the Seattle Smack Down either.

  126. bayareafanatic says:

Todays game was awsome. Offensive dominance! Guess lets kill kill kill the QB comparison stuff. The better guy is playing. Everyone knows it. Lets enjoy the ride.

  127. Crab15 says:

Damn, Harbaugh’s wife looked smokin hot tonight on CSN! Atta boy

What a great day of football! I’m still laughing at the Broncos. I work with 6 Bronco fans. This will be a great week of work coming up.
The Broncos are gonna turn into the AZ Cards. Their Manning will leave them before they know it! Just like Warner did.

oh boy!! just got back….man o man, I’m tired! What a game people!! I’ll talk more about some stuff tommorow. The refs were questionable today. Tell me if that unstportsman like penalty was a good one or bad one( The Goldson one). There was a horrible pass interference call in the 4th quarter against Brown right infront of us…wtf was that? horrible call.

Sorry I’m late to the party, just want to stop in real quick and say I’ve spent all night celebrating this win and I’m not stopping anytime soon! Colin Kaepernick is da mang! What a performance. Proud of our whole team across the board. Go Niners

    • LSX says:

Oh, and God Bless Frank Gore, just because. Frank Gore is a model American! Frank Gore is the definition of what 49er football is all about. Let’s get a Super Bowl ring on that man’s finger ASAP

    • Chicago49er says:

LSX, who has it better than us! NO BODY:) COLIN is the man, just think how much he can get better with JIM H as his coach. Colin had only 7 games of playing experience and carried this team on his shoulders. GO COLIN and the SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Someone needs to tell Heath Evans that Kap ain’t kissin’ his guns. He’s givin love to the tats! It’s called Kaepernicking!

  134. Chicago49er says:

DS, where are YOU! you were all over this blog wanting to trade Crabtree and CK! come back please i want to hear your opinion about these fine 49ers! Are you still upset about the switch! GO NINERS

    • ribico says:

DS always said he judged players by how they do in big games. Kaep and Crabs were HUGE, I’m sure wherever DS is now, he is fully onboard.

    • Brotha Tuna says:

Maybe posting under “Me”………? Just guessing. I always thought this blog group was too harsh on DS. Nothing wrong with defending AS’ good points and being a 49r fan. The attacks on Crabs were puzzlingly overblown, but hey, plenty of unusual opinions expressed here. AS better than Joe…….uh, hmmmm, you’re on your own there DS! So, DS hates the switch; no surprise there. Ah, but then any slack I might have felt towards DS evaporated when the disappointment expressed itself as unreasonable criticism of CK. “Krapernick”? Really?
Dammit DS! Now you’ve done it! You’ve made Bay and Jordo seem reasonable by comparison! A pox on you!
Oh, by the way, Go Niners! ( Who I’d be rooting for even if Boobie was our QB).
