SANTA CLARA – This is what Jim Harbaugh said about Colin Kaepernick Tuesday afternoon.
HARBAUGH: Colin was fantastic in this game. He was fantastic the entire season, from the beginning right to the end I thought he played extremely well. Coming right out of the box on the first throw. He put it right in there for a big gain, and made big plays the entire game.
The stage was not too big for him. He competed at the highest level and played extremely well. Showed a lot of poise, a lot of leadership throughout the entire game. Can’t say enough, really.
With Colin, it’s always just appropriate. He’s got the appropriate amount of competitive fire when you need competitive fire. He’s got the appropriate amount of happy and joy when it’s the right time to have that.
He plays the game. You just really feel him playing the game – upset when it’s the right time to be upset. And he does that with his own personality, and I really believe that’s the way people should play the game. What he does, it’s genuine, it’s honest from a guy who’s just out there playing the game to compete.

The whole team looked like a deer in headlights until the power went out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Alex is a Pro Bowler, Greg Roman is an outstanding OC, Crab’s got the best hands on the planet…
Good for him to have his guys’ backs. But at some point, a little honesty and reality would go a long ways to helping Harbaugh’s credibility, at least for me.
You think Kap didn’t throw to a wide open Walker on third down because he didn’t notice him , or he didn’t trust his hands
Also he should never had audibled out of that play which was a run just because he saw zero blitz… The run would have beat it
If it wasn’t too big… then why did he not stay calm enough to look at an open receiver in the end zone instead of bonking the ball into Crabtree’s coverage? Even Alex Smith would have at least checked it down to SOMEBODY. Multiple chances for that TD to win the Super Bowl and Mr. Everything missed it. Harbaugh put him in too soon and now he has to endure an intensely painful situation in losing the big one when you probably should have won.
One more thing between now and the start of next season Harbaugh has to tell Kap that with the game on the line under no circumstances throw a fade route … That’s the lowest percentage play in football
Just wondering what kind of tattoo Kap is going to get this time!
