2:15 Mike Sando tweets David Akers looked good in warmups, but he was 0-2 on 60-yard field goal attempts.
2:18 Gil Brandt, former VP of Player Personnel for the Dallas Cowboys in the ’90s and current NFL.com analyst, just tweeted this: “Look for the 49ers to air it out today, especially early, similar to the game vs. the Patriots. Practices were crisp this week.”
Brandt is expecting a pass-heavy game plan for the 49ers to start the game. Do you expect the same thing? Do you think that would be a good strategy?

I woke up surprisingly calm this morning with only 4 hours of sleep, but as we inch closer to game time i’m getting nervous as hell! I can only imagine what the players must feel right now. We got this, Go Niners!

Frank Gore for MVP – reckon he’ll have a good game running but will also be a surprise factor in the passing game.
Agreed Scooter. I think Gore will have 116 yards rushing with rushing TD and 5 catches for 73 yards.

Brandt’s prediction worries me. I give him all the respect in the world but he is sooooo out of touch with the players in the modern game that it’s kind of sad now just how wrong he usually is.
He predicted Randy Moss will have two touchdown receptions too.
