Matt Maiocco just reported Aldon Smith was arrested at 7:00 a.m. this morning allegedly for a DUI according to the San Jose Police. Maiocco tweets “Smith was determined to be the driver in a single-vehicle accident, according to San Jose Police. Nobody was injured.”
According to Maiocco, San Jose Police Sgt. Heather Randol said, “At some point they did a breath sample and it was over the limit.”
Matt Barrows tweets the 49ers’ official statement is they are aware of the Aldon Smith incident and have no further comment.
According to Cam Inman, “Marijuana and pills also were found in the car, sources said.”
The Santa Clara County Sheriff just tweeted this: “Aldon Smith was booked into SCC Main Jail today on charges of DUI and poss. of marijuana.”
According to the Mercury News: “Aldon Smith blew a .15 in his DUI; has a prescription for marijuana; crashed into a tree.”
.15 nearly is twice the legal limit of .08.
