49ers interested in Tavon Austin and Terrell Sinkfield – two of the fastest receivers in the draft

As you know, the 49ers need a fast, deep-threat wide receiver. According to reports, the 49ers are interested in two of the fastest wide receivers in the draft – Tavon Austin and Terrell Sinkfield.

Matt Barrows reports Austin will come to Santa Clara to meet the 49ers next month. Austin arguably is the most explosive offensive player in the draft. He ran the fastest unofficial 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine – 4.25 seconds. The 49ers would have to trade up – maybe into the top-10 – to get him.

The Associated Press reports the 49ers are also interested in Northern Iowa’s Terrell Sinkfield, who ran a 4.19 40-yard dash at Minnesota’s pro day on March 5, and a 4.30 at Northern Iowa’s Pro Day on March 27.

The 49ers would not have to trade up for Sinkfield. They probably could get him in the sixth or seventh round.

Do you think the 49ers should draft one or both of these receivers? Why or why not?
