49ers promote Jarryd Hayne to 53-man roster

The San Francisco 49ers announced Saturday they have moved guard Alex Boone to the injured reserve list, and have promoted running back Jarryd Hayne to the 53-man roster.

Do you think Hayne will be on the active 46-man roster today against the Lions? Do you think he will return punts and/or rush the ball? Who do you think will be the 49ers’ primary running back today? Please explain your reasoning.

  1. Yes, he will be on the active roster and will play. The Niners need people who can run the ball and make something happen with punt returns. Hayne will be eager and will add some spice to a dull team.

  2. Of course they will play him and if he plays well they can say that Domsula is such a great teacher and that’s why we hired him. If he plays poorly they’ll say that he’s got a lot to learn and they were right to put him on the PS……

  3. ST coach is clueless if he does not utilize Hayne for punts. Calling for fair catches while behind is just surrendering. Chryst did not utilize him properly, yet he still made some first downs.
