49ers-Seahawks live blog: Fourth quarter

SEATTLE — This is the live blog for the fourth quarter of the 49ers’ Week 2 game against the Seahawks. I’ll update this frequently with information and analysis from the press box.

8:50 Wilson throws a seven-yard TD pass to a wide open Lynch and Lynch rubs it in by stopping at the goal line before walking in. 19-3 Seahawks with 13:44 to go.

8:53 Touchback.

8:53 Will Boldin catch a pass on this drive? He’s catchless.

8:58 The answer is no. On the second play, Kaepernick throws it deep for Vernon Davis and the pass is easily picked off by Sherman. He returns it to the SF 25.

9:00 The Seahawks go three-and-out and will attempt a 37-yard field goal. It’s good. 22-3 Seahawks.

9:04 Touchback.

9:09 Vernon Davis has a hamstring injury and he’s out.

9:11 Kaepernick scrambles 16 yards to the Seahawks’ 33. Next play, Kendall Hunter loses a whopping seven yards on his only carry of the night. The 49ers follow that up by burning a timeout with the play clock winding down.

9:15 The 49ers have to burn another timeout to avoid a delay penalty. Sheesh.

9:16 No one is open on third-and-17 and Kap throws it away. They’re going for it on fourth-and-17.

9:17 Kaepernick scrambles up the middle for 14 yards. Turnover on downs with 7:56 to go.

9:21 Wilson throws it away on third-and-19. The Seahawks will punt.

9:23 Cox holds on the punt. The 49ers look like the Raiders.

9:24 Just as I type that, Anthony Davis gets flagged for unnecessary roughness.

9:25 Next play, Kaepernick throws a pass over Kyle Williams’ head and Chancellor returns it to the 2. Wow.

9:26 Lynch up the middle for a touchdown. 29-3 Seahawks.

9:29 Perrish Cox appears to have fumbled on the kick return. The officials are reviewing it. This is a complete meltdown.

9:31 Seahawks’ ball at the 49ers’ 20 with 4:15 left.

9:34 Ray McDonald is injured on the field. It looks like someone fell on his right knee. He walks off the field slowly. That’s on Harbaugh. This is a blowout and there are three minutes left. Get your starters out of there.

9:36 Two minute warning.

9:40 The Seahawks go for it on fourth-and-two and get it, now they’re kneeling out the clock. Seahawks win 29-3. Going down to the locker room now. Back at you shortly.
