SAN FRANCISCO — This is the live blog from the pregame of the 49ers Week 7 Thursday night game against the Seattle Seahawks. I’ll be updating this frequently with observations and analysis from the press box.
3:28 The 49ers are on the field warming up. Brandon Jacobs is not wearing cleats. I do not expect him to suit up for this game.
3:46 I was wrong: Brandon Jacobs will suit up. It remains to be seen whether he’ll play.
3:47 Joe Staley (concussion) will start at left tackle.
3:48 Mario Manningham (shoulder) will not play.
Here are the 49ers inactives: Scott Tolzien, A.J. Jenkins, LaMichael James, Trenton Robinson, Joe Looney, Mario Manningham and Ian Williams.
With Manningham out, expect Kyle Williams to play 60-to-70 percent of the offensive snaps. Also, expect Randy Moss to play 40-to-50 percent of the offensive snaps.
Here are the Seahawks inactives: WR Charly Martin, SS Winston Guy, CB Danny Gorer, CB Byron Maxwell, G J.R. Sweezy, G John Moffitt and DT Jaye Howard.
4:10 It’s interesting to note that even with Manningham inactive, A.J. Jenkins does not get to suit up this week. What would it take for him to suit up this season?
4:23 David Akers just made back-to-back 65-yard field goals in warmups.
4:24 Phil Barber just tweeted: “The last time a Jim Harbaugh-coached team lost consecutive games: Oct. 10 & 17, 2009, w/ Stanford falling at Oregon State and Arizona. And the last time a Jim Harbaugh team lost home games in consecutive weeks: Sept 22 & 29, 2007, against Oregon and ASU.”
4:26 Braylon Edwards tweeted two hours ago: “This isn’t business. This is personal.”
5:10 Home teams are 12-4 in Thursday night games the last two seasons.
