49ers-Seahawks live blog: Third quarter

SEATTLE — This is the live blog for the third quarter of the 49ers’ Week 2 game against the Seahawks. I’ll update this frequently with information and analysis from the press box.

8:12 The Seahawks get the ball first.

8:16 Wilson completes a 51-yard pass to Baldwin on third-and-13. Whitner was covering him poorly.

8:18 Brooks commits a face mask penalty when he had Wilson sacked. First-and-goal from the nine.

8:23 On second-and-goal from the 14, Lynch walks right through the middle of the 49ers’ defense for an easy touchdown. 12-0 Seahawks. The 49ers can’t stop Lynch with their Nickel front.

8:26 Cox returns the kick 29 yards to the 26. Good return.

8:30 Kaepernick scrambles for 28 yards to the Seattle 29.

8:32 Kaepernick scrambles to the left on third-and-goal from the three and gains nothing. Dawson hits the 21-yard field goal. 12-3 Seahawks with 4:20 left in the third quarter.
