49ers sign Nick Bellore to two-year deal

The 49ers just announced they have sign Nick Bellore to a two-year deal.

Bellore was an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played the first four seasons of his career with the New York Jets.

The Niners list Bellore as a linebacker, but he has made just three tackles on defense during his career. He is a special teams specialist. Pro Football Focus gave him a plus-8.0 special teams grade last season, tied for the fourth-best special teams grade in the league.

Bellore follows his former special teams coach to the 49ers. The Niners recently hired Thomas McGaughey Jr., who coached special teams for the Jets in 2014.

  1. Good move and maybe he can provide the special teams unit with a little nasty attitude coming down the field. Headhunters….

    1. Yeah.. Razor …

      could be a good move .. I mean ..
we needed someone to replace Bubba .. right ?

      1. Isn’t this the guy who caught the fake punt from tebow vs the colts for a huge gain?

  2. Sounds like a great signing. If Albert Haynes turns out to be a beast kick returner, then it appears the Niners aren’t neglecting special teams.
