49ers v. Rams live blog: Third quarter

SAN FRANCISCO — This is the live blog for the third quarter of the 49ers’ Week 13 game against the Rams. I’ll update this frequently with information and analysis from the press box.

2:48 The 49ers go three-and-out. Gore gains two on first down, Kaepernick misses Boldin on second down and Kaepernick hits Boldin for just 6 yards on third-and-8. C.J. Spillman is flagged 15 yards on the punt. Rams’ ball at the 49ers’ 49.

2:53 Clemens is flagged for a delay on third-and-8 from the 49ers’ 19.

2:55 The Rams make the field goal and the score is 13-6 Niners.

3:02 On the first play of the drive, Kaepernick hits his second read, Bruce Miller, for 21 yards. Next play, Kaepernick hits Vernon Davis for 22. Davis was pulled down by his groin and is injured.
