The big grab bag of quotes

Sometimes, standing on the practice field and watching another 7-on-7 drill, it feels like there isn’t a lot going on around an NFL team in June. Then you get to the end of a five-day, six-practice week, and you realize there simply wasn’t enough time to talk about everything.
I’ll be adding some blog posts early this coming week, looking back on what just happened. In the meantime, here are some random locker-room quotes that seem worth echoing, even if they don’t fit into a larger story.

Manusky says 3-4 defense is the team’s best fit

Niners defensive coordinator Greg Manusky has made some changes since the big switch. Whereas before he was up in the booth on game days, now he is calling plays from the sideline. This gives Manusky the ability to communicate freely with is players between series, he said.

Singletary: No regrets from first week on the job

Mike Singletary said today that he would not change a thing about how he handled the first week of tenure as interim head coach. He said he plans to find out who leaked the information to an Arizona radio reporter that he dropped his pants during halftime to inspire his players on Sunday against the Seahawks.
