The Jaguars plucked defensive lineman Attiyah Atiyyah Ellison off the 49ers’ practice squad. The 49ers filled the opening by signing fullback Carl Stewart, an undrafted rookie from Auburn.
Depending on where you check, Stewart is anywhere from 225 to 254 pounds. Stewart did not carry the ball for the Buccaneers in the exhibition season.
Ellison was inactive for all 16 games last year while on the 49ers’ 53-man roster. This year, he’s been on the practice squad from Week 1.
