Prediction: 49ers win high-scoring game

The 49ers will beat the Saints 41-27 on Sunday.

Colin Kaepernick will play even better than he did against the Bears. The loud Super Dome will not faze him. He will torch the Saints terrible defense with his arm and his legs.

The 49ers offense will demoralize the Saints defense early. It will be clear in the first quarter the 49ers offense can do whatever it wants. The Saints are the worst run-stopping defense in the NFL. The 49ers will establish the run on the first drive, which will open up the entire passing game.

Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter will each average more than 6 yards per carry.

Vernon Davis will lead the 49ers in receptions for the second week in a row. Mario Manningham will lead the 49ers in receiving yards – Kaepernick will hit him on two deep shots.

The 49ers defense will have their toughest test of the season.

They cannot match up with Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham, although no defense can match up with that giant. He caught five passes for 103 yards and 2 TDs in the NFC Divisional playoff against the Niners. Drew Brees will give him about a dozen opportunities to make catches whether he’s covered or not.

The defense is going to give up almost 30 points, but they’re going to take away the Saints rushing attack and play with a lead most of the game, which is a big advantage.

That’s how I see the game unfolding. What’s your prediction?
