Steve Kerr says the NFL is blackballing Colin Kaepernick

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was asked about Colin Kaepernick on Monday. Here’s what Kerr said:

“Oh, he is being blackballed. That’s a no-brainer. All you have to do is read the transactions every day, when you see the quarterbacks who are being hired. He’s way better than any of them. But the NFL has a different fanbase than the NBA. The NBA is more urban, the NFL is more conservative and I think a lot of NFL fans are truly angry at Kaepernick, and I think owners are worried what it’s going to do to business.”

All respect to Kerr, who’s a bright and thoughtful man, but he’s dead wrong. Kaepernick isn’t good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, and he doesn’t want to be a backup. He wants the opportunity to compete for a starting position. He doesn’t deserve that opportunity.

Even if he wanted to be a backup quarterback, he wouldn’t be a good one. Teams wouldn’t want him running the scout team or helping the starter break down film. Those aren’t Kaepernick’s strengths. That’s why the New England Patriots didn’t sign him today — they signed Brian Hoyer. He’s a better backup quarterback than Kaepernick, and a better starter, too.

  1. I’ve watched all of the 49ers games this season and there’s no way that Brian Hoyer is better than Kaep. Not even close. Did you even watch all the games before posting this or did you just google stats?

    1. I’ve been a Niner fan since the 60’s and I can tell you that Kraperdick sucks and is a one trick pony whose trick was figured out. If you bothered to watch any games or “really” research his stats you would see that Krap’s effectiveness dropped each and every season until “he quit”. The only reason he had any descent stats during the first couple of seasons was that he had a superb D, OL and running game and he still couldn’t win a Superbowl with 4 tries from inside the 5!

      1. Joseph Pearlman,

Your post just proved something: being a fan since the 60’s doesn’t mean that you’re smart or that you know what you’re talking about.

        1. @ SgtPelaez: You just proved a point… That being ignorant is a main staple for you!

  2. The horse is dead, and is in an Elmers Glue bottle. For the sake of animal lovers all over this country, please quit beating it!

    1. In the bottle my foot. It’s been used already, and the one who used it found out it didn’t meet the expectations of holding everything together.

  3. You’re exactly right.

Kraperdick was a one trick pony whose trick no longer works so why waste money on a someone who will not make your team better!

Although he would be very good at coming in only for “victory formation” plays!

    1. Good question? I wish the media would move on and quit dragging out the same old tired stores. This whole Kaep/kneeling issue is a media created firestorm. Who even sees the National Anthem if you watch on TV. Even if they show it on TV I always skip all that garbage and tune in just for the game. Time to move on from this stuff.

Also enough with any stories directed at this market about Jim Harbaugh. He is gone, he isn’t coming back, and is no longer relevant to this audience.

  4. why should NE take Kap when their system calls for a QB who stays in the pocket and picks teams apart. Kap. can’t do that and he never could. JH thought that Kap would scare teams and with something new he could win a SB. Didn’t take the league long to figure out how to stop him and he wasn’t capable enough to overcome his weaknesses. He lost the SB for us and I believe that biggest mistake that JH made was not putting AS back in as QB when he was well. AS was the one that got us the initial wins that put us in the super bowl in the first place. The Kap backers were the Smith haters and now they won’t let the dead horse lay and die gracefully.

    1. Kap had pretty good games against Packers and Hawks in the playoffs during the super bowl run. Also he had a great 2nd half in the super bowl. I believe Kap wasn’t on the Kick return coverage team.

Not sure I buy what you are selling.

  5. Kerr stick to basketball which I have only watched two NBA games since the Sprewell trying to choke his Coach to death incident and only got I one year suspension from the NBA and nothing from the courts. STFU KERR.

  6. Kap had one good season till he lost the Super Bowel. DC’s started figured this one trick pony out the following season and as the quality of play on both sides of the line started to deteriorate until it hit rock bottom last season (with Kap) still hasn’t bottomed out yet this year. Lets face it Kap just won’t fit in most NFL systems, the exception being a quarterback run option system and who can consistently win that way. Go back and look last year how the defense played against Kap 3-4 man rush and a spy on him to cancel out his running and sense he can’t read the defense
    you know the result.

  7. If Krap where Rodgers , Brady , Brees he would have been signed already … the reason he pulled this crap to begin with because he became irrelevant sitting behind Blaine Gabbert of all people and he needed attention

  8. Kaepernick you are a confused young person that was a one trick pony!! Colin can only have one read and his wind up takes forever! Colin time to ditch the TOXIC GF and return to his real roots and values of the people that raised you. Stop searching for a sense of community and belonging to help you identify as you see people based on color. Perhaps he should try to do a Tebow and go for baseball I bet you are a hell of a pitcher.

  9. “In my opinion Kaepernick is a fool and has the worldview of a naive college freshman. But here are some things he did NOT do:

    Collude with an enemy state
    Defend White Supremacists
    Insult a Gold Star family
Insult an American War hero Congressman
Call American citizens Sons of B….s

If his presence on an NFL roster upsets you more than Trump’s presence in the White House , you have the right to have that opinion. But it would be a bad one .”

    1. Wow, oneniner way to make it political. Remember Kap walked away from a contract, and through he could do better. He put himself in this position.

      1. The same guy that said Scot Peterson was innocent is saying that Kaepernick will be signed in the next 10 days.

        1. Geragos did his job. He defended SP to his utmost ability, drained the Peterson family out of a million bucks, and put Scot Peterson on death row where he belongs.
          .
This grievance is going to succeed in voiding the CBA, even if Kaep does get to play. Kaep will be hailed as a hero, because the current CBA is totally unfair to the players, and gives Goodell way too much power.

  10. Kaepernick may be a one-trick pony, but Hoyer has no tricks at all.

(Unless your definition of a trick is to fall over and curl up into the foetal position whenever a fan at the back of the stadium sneezes too loudly)

  11. ‘…the NFL has a different fanbase than the NBA. The NBA is more urban, the NFL is more conservative and I think a lot of NFL fans are truly angry at Kaepernick, and I think owners are worried what it’s going to do to business.”’

    Spot on.

The NFL is an old guys TV show and everything they do is based around catering to that demographic. They need to start rewriting the script fast or they are going to fade into irrelevancy before long….the Kaepernick show isn’t effective publicity to stimulate their audience at all. Papa John’s pizza quarterly numbers just took a hit and they blamed it on NFL watchers deserting in droves….at least a few of them might lose some weight…

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-01/papa-john-s-blames-nfl-debacle-for-hurting-sales-of-its-pizza

    1. I re-posted a similar comment on “NFL is an old guys TV show” by Mark Cuban the other day…..

It could be that the NFL has noticed this also and forced the decision to now allow Touchdown celebrations………

The demographics also has something to do with the NFL position on this anthem protest…..the younger generation are with Kap while the older ones are not with Kap…..

    2. I blame their pizza for the downward trend of the NFL. Papa John’s tastes like cardboard. ;p

  12. Is Hoyer better than CK? I do not know and I couldn’t care less. The Pats signed Hoyer for one reason and one reason only, he has experience in the system. They are in a playoff chase and needed aQB who could step in this week for Brady.

    1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the choice New England made.

There is absolutely something wrong with with the brain dead assertion that Kaepernick walked away from a big contract with the 49ers no matter how often it’s use by those who can’t stand what black players are protesting — police brutality aimed at minorities of color.

    2. LOL, I almost wish Hoyer would play, then they may change their tune. If Brady goes down due to injury, there goes their SB aspirations. The Pats defense is struggling, and Buffalo may win their division. Belichick is taking a big gamble that Brady can stay healthy all season. He may bitterly rue the day they shipped off Garoppolo.

    1. Kaep is a SB QB who came within 5 yards of winning it, and one pass from returning. His 4-2 road playoff record and 181 yard playoff rushing record, demolish your assertion that he is bad.

      1. It’s crazy that you can’t see how defenses adjusted to him. I’m not a coach. Or expert by any stretch. But bringing His stats up before defenses adjusted is like saying look how great bow and arrows were until they countered it with the rifle. Further, Kap was given three seasons to adjust and was unable to…either through lack of vision or bad work ethic. He was treated very fairly in terms of opportunity. He jus isn’t good. STOP with his resume. It means NOTHING. He blew his nfl chance, and now it’s time to move on. The reason Hoyer gets work and he doesn’t is because he is a team guy, something Kaepernick isn’t. Kap is about a lot of things, but I couldn’t tell you what they are because I don’t even think he knows. Not a bad person, but a bad nfl qb. Defenses figured him out. End of story. And spare me his rushing stats. If he was smart he would have gone the Terrell Pryor route. Use his talent in the right way

  13. MARK CUBAN: “I don’t know what his status is in the NFL, but I’m glad the NBA doesn’t have a politician litmus test for our players,” Cuban told the Post. “I’d like to think we encourage our players to exercise their constitutional rights.”

Call it whatever you want, Collusion, blackballing, conspiring ….. etc.

    Brett Hundley, GB starting QB: 52.5 comp%, 4.14 YDS/ATT, 1 TD, 4 INT, 40.5 Passer Rating
    Colin Kaepernick career: 59% Comp%, 6.77 YDS/ATT, 72 TD, 30 INT, 88.9 Passer Rating

Kaepernick is 2-0 VS Packers in postseason. Enough said!

  14. Kinda surprised Kerr commented on something like this where he obviously has no knowledge. Weird that he didn’t also mention RGIII who was a better player than CK but is not being picked up by any NFL team either.

    1. Shhhh… YOu’re not supposed to mention RGIII (more accurate and did more with less while in Washington). That goes against the black-balling narrative.

    2. RGIII has a long injury history and has had no success since his rookie year which is a big reason why he’s gotten no interest. Kap is healthy, had a reasonably good year statistically last season and has had success in the league. The fact he’s unemployed is ridiculous, but not surprising considering the way things work in this league when it comes to image.

    3. Kinda surprised that you commented on something like this where you obviously have more knowledge than a professional sportscoach with some championships under his belt.
Please educate us all on your credentials Houston.
      Come in Houston!

    4. Psst, Houston, RGIII is trying to play on one leg. That is why he has not been signed.
      .
OT, BTW, grats on Houston beating the Dodgers.

  15. Rookie of the Year — Mid-season rankings:

    RANK 12
    Solomon Thomas, DE, 49ers
Thomas has been more disruptive than his stats would indicate. He has shown the versatility to play multiple spots and harass the quarterback.

That’s actually down one spot from the first-quarter rankings.

  16. Your right on the money Grant. Nice piece. Those that disagree with you will call you a “hater”. In reality, they are the haters. Haters of the truth. Enough on this bum!

  17. To Seb, on the contrary, I hope someone does make the mistake of signing him because I am more than confident that he will continue to suck, just as he as sucked for the last three years. He’s horrible! Bring him on! LOL!

    1. Juan, maybe you should be more careful about what you wish for, it might not turn out like you think.
      .
Kaep, if given a chance, may take the league by storm. It was telling to see KS praising JG for his mobility. Kaep is also a mobile QB, but has a lot more experience, and a lot more accomplishments than JG.

  18. Bunch of typical trumpsters trying to turn lies into reality, alternate facts, whatever. Doesn’t matter if 5 billion people say the sky is green doesn’t make it green. It’s obvious that Kaep’s better than more than half the starting QBs in this league. Making up lies only makes you look dumb or a simple hater. Grant Cohn is just another one of them. Where did he get the info about Kaep wanting to be a starter. No teams even contacted him. If he were to sign, if course he’d want to start, who doesn’t?! Obviously a nonathlete writing this column. All you have to do is go to YouTube and look at his 2016 highlights. There’s plenty of them. But liars like to be wrong and actually think they’re fooling someone by looking like a fool. Sign of the times.

    1. You, sir, are an utter c***. I vote Green most of the time. I do Habitat for Humanity. I do Second Harvest Food Bank. I support Planned Parenthood. I support the ACLU. I think Universal Basic Income is far superior to Welfare on so many fronts that only the insane could be against that reform.

And I still think Kaepernick is a piece of crap QB because I’M DATA DRIVEN. And the data clearly indicated the pillock is clueless on the field when he has to pass from the pocket!

    2. Spot on Whatnow49ers.

Anyone who thinks Brett Hundley is a better option for the Green Bay Packers than Colin Kaepernick either doesn’t know football, hasn’t seen Hundley play, or is either lying to themselves and others.

And the Packers HC Mike McCarthy just inadvertently let the cat out of the bag:

      http://thebiglead.com/2017/11/01/mike-mccarthy-has-some-explaining-to-do/

When asked if he’d consider signing Kaepernick after Rodgers was diagnosed with a season ending injury, he defiantly stood up in front of reporters and said The quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be. He was confident in Brett Hundley and Joe Callahan because he had years invested in their development. Today, Ian Rapoport reported that the Packers tried to steal Brian Hoyer, before he ultimately signed with the Patriots.

Brett Hundley has single handedly destroyed any chance the Packers had at getting to the playoffs after their 4-1 start to the season. He’s averaging 121 yards passing per game, 4.41 Yards per attempt, and has thrown 1 TD and 4 INT’s. To say Kaepernick’s career numbers are superior to Hundley’s would be an understatement. Not to mention that Kaepernick defeated his Packers in the postseason, not once, but twice, including on the Packers own frozen tundra. In between those 2 punishing defeats for McCarthy, Kaepernick put up 412 yards passing against his Packers in week 1 of the 2013 season, with 3 TD’s and 0 INT’s, despite the Packers spending their entire 2013 offseason scheming a way to stop him.

Now, I am not going to pretend that Colin Kaepernick is a pro bowl caliber QB. He’s not. Nor is he any kind of franchise QB worth building a team around. But he is sure as sh_t better than Brett Hundley or Joe Callahan, and McCarthy knows it, having been humiliated by Kaepernick in back to back postseasons.

So let’s call a spade a spade. Colin Kaepernick may not be a QB worth building a franchise around. But he’s certainly better than half the backup QB’s in the NFL. And he certainly gives a team like the Packers a better chance of winning than Brett fricken Hundley or some no-name QB like Joe Callahan, and reporters who grilled McCarthy and have now caught him with his pants down, know it. As does McCarthy himself.

        1. You are a bitter, delusional person with narcissistic tendencies bordering on delusions of intelligence!

    3. It is so sad that so many people are showing their bigotry by going against Kap.
Kap is not a great QB yet, but has shown himself to be wonderful human being and given the chance he will grow into a great QB – for all great QBs have heart and Kap has that in buckets.

I just wish niners had kept Chip Kelly, gotten a new DC and new GM and we would have been a much better team this year with Kap as QB. But that’s life. Jed can still redeem himself by resigning Kap

  19. Colin Kaepernick changes his name to Suwayd Takur, in preparation for his Muslim wedding to Nessa Diab. Film at 11.

    1. he’s looking up another barrage of stats for his latest novella to post here soon, stay tuned…

    2. I am here, just laughing at the histrionics.
      .
Pete Carroll, thinks Kaep can lead teams to championships. Now the HC who has led his team to 3 championship games, winning 2 of them, thinks Kaep is being blackballed.
      .
I will take the opinion of those 2 head coaches over the peanut gallery on this blog, any day, and twice on Sunday.
      .
Guess the Kaep detractors think they are smarter than Pete Carroll and Steve Kerr.
      .
Thanks, Grant, you just made my day.

  20. Moving on to our next great QB:

    1. None of the Pats backup QBs have ever lived up to their hype and I am very concerned that this will be the case with Jimmy G. But time will tell.

  21. Grant- this is a pathetic premise for an article…
nothing new is being debated here…how ’bout:
    — why Benton should be replaced as OL coach?
–does Garnett have the motion and speed needed for OZ blocking?
–what game situations should KS use as testing for JG’s progress in later 2017 season games?
    — who can give Hyde a breather?
    — how long will Mostert last?
    –what’s up with McNicols?
    — how will DJ & Witherspoon do as starting CB’s?
    — will Reid continue at LB? (I think so)
    — IF CJ starts impressing later this season, what then? (not likely, I know)
    — how will the DL play once Tank is back?
–DL rotation getting better, now that AA is out? (I think so)
    — Tartt & Colbert? (Oh S***)

    1. also…
      — who sits to activate Mullins (emergency qb), McNicols, and perhaps Williams Jr.???
      — Leon Hall sightings?
      — IR Foster to bubble wrap for 2018?
      — see more from Pita T.?
      — who told CJ to wear his helmet up pushed back on head on sideline, ala Joe? (wearing # 3!)

  22. Ryan Sakamoto:

“At 6-2, 226, Garoppolo has the ideal HWS (height, weight, speed) that scouts covet for the position. He has a very quick release with a high-football IQ to match. No offense to QB Colin Kaepernick, but Garopollo’s cognitive ability to breakdown defenses pre-snap while scanning receivers downfield will also be evident”

    http://ninerfans.com/sakamoto-kyle-shanahan-loves-jimmy-garopollos-ability-to-withstand-hits-in-pocket-keeping-eyes-downfield/

    1. According to reports, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh held a private workout with Eastern Illinois University star QB Jimmy Garoppolo at Northwestern today. A small school product, Garoppolo has since sky rocketed up draft boards as he is now projected to go in the second-round. And with the 49ers only having two quarterbacks currently under contract in QB Colin Kaepernick and QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, the need for a backup is evident.

      http://ninerfans.com/49ers-jim-harbaugh-held-private-workout-with-jimmy-garoppolo/

Harbaugh had 100%, by contract, control of the QB spot. Baalke was his ***** when it came to QB acquisition, development and retainment. He **** on Smith for a guy who couldn’t read a defense if it was a Kindergarten Primer then passed on Garoppolo when we needed a back-up.

Some ****ing ‘QB Whisperer.’ He wouldn’t QB talent if it shoved a football up his ***. He recruited Luck who everyone knew was the Peyton Manning /John Elway recruit of his time. Other than that, it’s been a joke. His Michigan QBs all suck, even those he recruited and we’re still dealing with the QB hole while Smith is an MVP candidate and kicking the NFL’s ***.

      1. Lol. You are the biggest Gas bag I’ve ever read on one of these forums. What we do know is both Harbaugh and Baalke stated many times that Baalke had control of the draft and the roster. This is a complete fabrication and yet another bizarre attempt to undermine the only HC to have success with this sorry team in the past 15 years. Get your head examined, you need help.

        1. lol…………..he gets +1 on “Smith is an MVP candidate and kicking the NFL’s ***.”

  23. Man this topic is getting tired…. there seems to be 2 extreme sides to this. One is that Colin is being blackballed, he could be a starter on some of these teams, he would be an upgrade to many, and they don’t want to sign because of “Racism”. The other is that the guy is “garbage”, “one-trick pony”, the league has figured him out. He doesn’t deserve to be in the league.

But the truth really is right in the middle. You are in denial if you honestly believe Colin is not better than a Hundley, Mallet, Cutler, Moore, Kizer, Kessler, so on and so forth. The guy was a quality starter for few years, and at the very least would be a solid back-up, or in GB’s case an okay starter that would make plays with his feet and keep you in games.

But that’s all he is…he’s not a savior…he’s not some gem waiting to be signed. And he is just not worth the drama, controversy, and divisiveness that comes right along with him. It would be the same thing as not signing someone because they are an off-field or locker room distraction due to a “party” lifestyle (like Manziel), or a big mouth (like TO), etc.

He’s just not worth it. He’s not going to lead anyone to a SB at this point in his career. He may win you a few or keep you in a few, but its risk vs reward. Its that simple. Call that blackballed if you’d like, but its every owners right to make that kind of decision.

    1. Fallacy of the Golden Middle “aka both sides are wrong.” That’s not a compelling argument.

Fact is, from the pocket, Kaepenick has been a poor QB his entire career. Even back in 2013, peak Kaepernick his QB rating from the pocket was a mere 80.9.

      INSIDE THE POCKET

      382 attempts
      219 completions
      2,887 yards
      12 TDs
      10 INTs
      57.3 completion percentage
      7.6 yards per attempt
      3.1 TD percentage
      2.6 INT percentage
      80.9 passer rating

That’s journeyman. That’s a scrub QB surrounded by serious talent, including an elite offensive line, a HOF RB and an elite TE who played with favorable field position and from leads most of the time beacuse of an elite defense.

The second the wheels came off the defense and Kaepernick faced adversity because we had rely on the passing game to stay in games the 49ers offense went to hell and we finished out 2014 1-4 after being 7-4. It got worse as the talent level dropped and only the die-hard romantics couldn’t see him flailing around lost and confused on the field.

    2. You are right Leo. But is it the owner’s right to collude with one another in order to deny Colin employment?

      That’s my question.

Trust me, I am no big Kaepernick fan. But if the owners have actively colluded in order to keep him out of the league, then I have a problem with that.

    3. @Leo- correction – “and they don’t want to sign because of “Racism”. “……….they don’t want to sign because of “the Activism”.

stay away from FAUX news……..”everyone claiming racism” is a talking point.

  24. Leo Nomellini says:

    Where is Seb?

TomD’s Take: Wiley Seb has assessed the positives and negatives. He knows his comments about Shanny being “less than astute for not signing Kap” will come back to haunt him now that fans have realized Shanny has been working on a franchise QB all along and not stubbornly sticking to Kap.

In other words, Shanny had the best intentions for the oranization all along, while Seb comes out looking like a troglodyte.

  25. Thank you Moses. Amazingly better info than watching a couple of cherry picked You Tube videos. LOL. Give me a break. The NFL stands for “Not For Long” if you don’t WIN NOW! It’s also a “What have you done for me lately” league. All’s the Kaepster has done over the last 3 years is LOSE. No team gives a flying Wallenda what he did 5 years ago. We know the stats of the last 3 years and they are FACTS. 1-10 as a starter last year including a 9 game losing streak. 3-16 in his last 19 starts. 11-24 in his last 35. Your facts showcase why he’s accumulated those lousy stats. He’s mediocre at best. Couple that mediocrity with the circus that would engulf any franchise that would hire him and it’s easy to understand why he is unemployed.

So apparently if you think Kaep stinks, you must be a Trump fan? Really? I think Trump is a nut, and I think Kaep stinks. So there!! That idiotic logic doesn’t pass the stupid test.

    1. Some of Trump’s associates like his campaign manager and foreign business/relations campaign director are exhibit A on that point Juan…LOL !

  26. Your right on the money also Leo. I’ve said what you have said from the beginning. Look back at what I have stated. I have stated more than numerous times that he is just as good or better than the bottom 10 quarterbacks in the league. All those that you mentioned and more. That is the definition of mediocre. That’s what he is. He would probably rank maybe around 22-26 skill wise in the league. No better. Mediocre. Couple that with the inevitable media storm and absolute fan backlash (there are at least 50% if not more of the fan base that would be up in arms and outright angry) if they were to sign him. Also advertisers who would pull out, and other financial considerations that would beset a franchise. His talent level doesn’t overcome these other factors. Period. That is why he continues to be unemployed. Will he play again? Possibly. Desperate people do desperate things. Anything is possible. I have no doubt that if he is signed, he will continue to be mediocre, because he is. I actually look forward to seeing him stink it up again. ;-)

    1. Juan, glad you have changed your tune. from calling him an expletive, to advocating his blackballing from the league, to now wanting him to play to prove yourself right, you have come a long ways. Kaep, when given a chance, will not stink it up, but will make all of his detractor’s screeds look delusional, pathetic and uncover the real reasons for the hate.
      .
Green Bay, with Hundley stinking it up, have seen their possible SB run turn into an epic collapse. McCarthy is looking as smart as KS touting Hoyer, when he praises Hundley.
      .
Denver, I think, just benched Siemian due to his 3 picks, and now they are contemplating starting Osweiler.
      .
Jax will let Bortles pull a Gabbert, and they want to send Bortles to the moon. Kaep, with all those offensive weapons and stout defense, may have a good chance at the playoffs with that team, and many players want him.
      .
Miami would rather lose than sign Kaep.
      .
Browns wanted McCarron, but failed big time. They are so bad, even Kaep does not want to go there. Now, they are stuck with Kizer. Bet Kevin Hogan gets more playing time.
      .
Bears are finding out that Trubisky is not the answer, but are starting him because Glennon is worse. They are trying to win by preventing Trubisky from throwing the ball, and hoping the defense wins the game.
      .
Still think some team will have their starting QB go down due to injury, or play so poorly he gets benched, and Kaep will get a chance to play. There will be a team that needs better QB play to get into the playoffs, and Kaep will give them the best chance to achieve that goal.
      .
Ol’ Prime will whine about me talking about Kaep, but maybe he should direct his venom towards Grant, since he brought up the subject.
      .
Grant just gave me a cookie, and I thank him.

  27. @ SgtPelaez: You just proved a point… That being ignorant is a main staple for you!

  28. I’m not a Kaepernick fan and don’t want him back and I hope Eric Reid is gone too after the season for all this kneeling for the anthem but one thing I’ll admit is that Bryan Hoyer is in no way better then Kaepernick and that is the truth anybody that thinks otherwise is either delusional or probably racist and I’m neither.

  29. Blackballing means some form of collusion or conspiracy between teams or between the league management and teams. 32 teams individually not hiring Kaepernick because his presence could actually affect revenue is both legal and logical. I say it again: Kaepernick is learning all about rights. Yes he absolutely has the right to not stand for the National Anthem and all 32 teams have the right NOT to hire him for whatever reason they choose, as long as it is not done in agreement with other teams. If actual collusion is discovered, let those involved pay. Until such evidence is uncovered, you have nothing. And those who keep parroting that proof of collusion is that teams keep hiring quarterbacks who are not as good as Kaepernick are simply wrong. Hoyer: No political baggage. Kaepernick: A mountain of negative political baggage. No brainer.

  30. Hi there, I read through a few of your articles here.
I did have a question though that I hope you could answer.
I was wondering, How do police officers understand/learn about laws in order to make arrests?

What training do police receive on laws/ legal issues?
And how do they stay up-to-date on new laws? I would really appreciate any help you could give me!
