Haggans back, Bakhtiari out

The 49ers just announced they’ve waived backup outside linebacker Eric Bakhtiari to make room on their 53-man roster for Clark Haggans. Haggans missed the first five games of the season because he was serving a suspension for a DUI conviction. He’s a key backup for the 49ers because he’s the only backup outside linebacker they currently have on the roster. Expect him to suit up against Giants on Sunday.

49ers sign Haggans, put Haralson on IR

The 49ers announced today that they’ve signed 35-year-old outside linebacker Clark Haggans to a one-year contract. He will take Parys Haralson’s roster spot, because Haralson was placed on the Injured Reserve list this afternoon. Haralson seemed to injure his left arm against the Denver Broncos in the third preseason game, but his specific injury is unknown.
