According to Tim Kawakami, who cites a source in the NFL, the Battle of the Bay, the annual preseason game between the 49ers and the Raiders has been cancelled indefinitely, and it definitely won’t take place next preseason.
In its place, the two teams may have a closed scrimmage in training camp.
So, the question of whether you’d go to the game next year is moot, since it won’t exist. Here’s the next question: Is the NFL doing the right thing?
I say yes. At this point, the Battle of the Bay is an invitation for senseless violence.
