  1. Thanks for the periscope session. Looking forward to the session following the first preseason game when chaos will reign.

Perhaps we should put the banner tow pilot on retainer for the preseason and regular season. I’m sure we’ll be asking for the heads of the GM, HC, and Jed. Soon.

Would be cool to have a ‘Baby Jed’ balloon to fly over Santa Clara.

  2. Grant, please do not take this personally, but your camera work su-, er, I mean, needs lots of improvement.
    .
It is not professional to have your face half cut off, but when you totally leave the screen, I wonder if you know what you are doing. Please just understand that I want you to improve. For me, it would make your Periscopes more enjoyable, and less of a distraction, to just see your image in the middle of the screen.

I know, I know, I tend to repeat things. Just sayin….;p
    .
Otherwise, nice assessments. Lots of food for thought.
    .
The Niners are not going anywhere, if their O line regresses. Maybe they should move Tomlinson to RG, to help McGlinchey.

    1. Seb, I’m filming on my iPhone. I don’t have a camera crew. If you press the full-screen button, you’ll see the rest of the picture.

      1. HAHAHA!!!! Glad you pointed that out!! There goes the Oscar for cinematography….

        1. Considering I pointed out the glare on his face, and seeing the marked improvement, I am glad that Grant is not stubborn, and can accept input to help him improve.
          .
Grant himself apologized for his camera work on the field, so he does recognize the need to improve.
          .
The new high tech tools available sure makes the pencil and notepad days seem antiquated.

  3. I used to look forward to reading these reports, something which can be done in minutes. But now we have to block out half an hour to get the reports! No thanks.

  4. Seb, forget moving them around. Just cut them all. If they can’t get it together after THREE FRIGGIN PRACTICES, the season is doomed and they should be thrown to the garbage heap. Seriously, I can’t tell whether your serious or just being silly. I’ll pray it’s the later. The over reaction to Grant’s observations, and that’s all they are, is beyond belief, especially when considering they haven’t even broken the proverbial sweat yet. Unbelievable.

    1. Juan, I may suggest moves, but I fully am cognizant of the fact that they may be too busy to peruse the blogs. To tell you the truth, I would be more concerned if they did take these blogs seriously. 95 % is pure mindless drivel, but sometimes. a poster can have a point that is logical and succinct.
      .
Still, I am using a literary device to write as if I assume they are doting on every syllable. Some posters take umbrage, but getting upset over it is counter productive, and not a wise use of time.
      .
I am not at the practices, so I am relying on Grant to distill a whole practice into 20 paragraphs. It is interesting to note that he goes out of his way to point out the positives, and good plays, but everyone only wants to talk about the not so goods.
      .
Believe me, this is not my first Training Camp. I know that for every good offensive play, there is a bad defensive play, and vice versa. I do not see where you are claiming that I think they should all be cut. I proposed making multi player trades of marginal bubble players, thus reducing the roster, gaining draft capital and making room for poached players from playoff teams. However, since teams are sustaining injuries, I also proposed trading away first rounders like Armstead and Ward, and getting possible second round picks for them, to teams that desperately need them.
      .
Just because I propose things, does not mean I expect them to salute me and carry out my wishes. I propose things to think outside the box. To dream of things, and not dwell on the self evident obstacles, but to dream and hope for better days, when the Niners are relevant again.

    1. Juan, when I propose that the Niners move Tomlinson over to help McGlinchey, I do not suppose that moving a veteran over to help a raw rookie is too unreasonable, illogical and unheard of, especially if the rookie is struggling.
      .
In the history of the league, that scenario has unfolded many, many times. Niners need to balance out the line. Otherwise, defenses will key on McGlinchey, if he turns out to be the weakest link in the chain.
