  1. Looks like Willis is back. With Bowman and Aldon Smith returning soon combined with the soft remaining schedule, we’re ready to go on a roll.

  2. Yes, yes, yes, yes! SFGiants win another one!
Remember that the colors of October are Black & Orange!
    2010, 2012, 2014 = Dynasty!!!

    1. It looks like Grant was correct when he said the Giants were acting like they were a dynasty.

    1. htwaits ..

I’m counting the threads he’s not here..
      (and relishing his absence) ..
      please don’t summon him back

  3. Man looks like no game this Sunday in So-cal.

I know its likely related to the various rules the NFL has for its broadcasters, but I will never get the rationale of Fox only showing one game on certain weeks. Well at least they’re showing world champion street skateboarding instead.

2 weeks with no niners… I’m going to start having withdraws.

  4. In all seriousness how does this blog work? The “beat writer”, “moderator”, “blogger”, whatever you want to call him does little to no work. What are some other niner blogs to visit? This place has become a ghost town.

      1. I go there for all my niners news. That’s actually how I found this blog. I guess I need to sign up. I’ll do that now.

        1. Ricardo,

There’s new content every day or two over there in the exclusives section. I posted something yesterday and will have a new post up tomorrow. With things ramping up again I will be posting at least 3 days a week from here on out.

          1. Sorry Jack, I meant to say “when will guys have a more INTERACTIVE way on commenting on your blog section”? Like this one… It’s getting harder to read comments on here when you have to constantly have to skip comments from the trolls. Thanks.

            1. They’ve made it so your comments appear immediately which is an improvement over the previous method.

  5. I’m looking at the last three years in terms of the draft. I think Seattle has done a much better job with their high draft pick. ( rounds 1 – 3 ) I count one third rounder they whiffed on. The rest are contributors.

We on the other hand have several 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders that are either no longer with the team or they are still here bit not contributing.

    1. “We on the other hand have several 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounders that are either no longer with the team or they are still here bit not contributing.”

Define the time frame you are referencing and what several is to you? Does 3 or 4 make several?

      1. 2010
Seahawks – Russell Okung, Earl Thomas, Golden Tate
49ers – Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, NaVorro Bowman

        2011
Seahawks – James Carpenter, John Moffitt
49ers – Aldon Smith, Colin Kaepernick, Chris Culliver

        2012
Seahawks – Bruce Irvin, Bobby Wagner, Russell Wilson
        49ers – A.J. Jenkins, LaMichael James

        2013
Seahawks – Christine Michael, Jordan Hill
49ers – Eric Reid, Tank Carradine, Vance McDonald, Corey Lemonier

        2014
        Seahawks- Paul Richardson, Justin Britt
49ers – Jimmie Ward, Carlos Hyde, Marcus Martin, Chris Borland, Brandon Thomas

By my count that would be 10 Seahawks still on the roster to 15 49ers. The only players I would say aren’t contributing would be Carradine, and Lemonier. Thomas is on the IR and was drafted for the future so he gets an INC.

        1. Jack I said in the last three years and I specifically said rounds 1 – 3.
Don’t change what I said or Clod ( Nathan Lane ) will get all excited.

          1. Bay,

You’re right. I missed that you said three years. Using that time frame it would be tied at 6 for each team that are contributing.

I eliminated Christine Michael from the Seahawks, 42 snaps in two seasons, and Jenkins, James, Carradine, Lemonier, Thomas from the 49ers. A strong case could be made for including Lemonier though based on his 384 total snaps.

          2. Yes, let’s not evaluate Baalke on drafts from years for which actually makes sense to evaluate the drafts.

I think Leo has bay figured out.

          3. And as we all know, draftees in rounds 1 -3 are the only ones that can make an impact on a team.

      2. Man that 2011 draft keeps looking better and better…

I think what Bay is trying to say is “if we just continue to draw all of our assessments of Trent Baalke from the 2012 draft, then my reasoning completely make sense”

    2. Bay,

I can’t remember his name but I think he was a scot McLaughlin isn’t there now. It will be interesting to see how those drafts look from this yr on out.

    3. Bay Area Troll Fastic –

You’re right — In 2011 Baalke drafted Kapernick when he could have taken Russell Wilson.

What would you do if Baalke had drafted Wilson, and Seattle took Kaepernick? I bet you would root for Kaep in Seattle. Your love for him cannot be broken by the color of his jersey.

Now that I think about it That is the next great love story. We should pitch it all over Hollywood. Let’s put our differences aside and work on it! Who gets to play you Bay? I think that troll from the new Hobbit movie is available.

Of course we need to create a role for Nathan Lane. He can be Alex Smith!

        1. Just called George’s agent. Had a long list of demands and perks, all which are on the very odd side of things, even for Hollywood standards, but might make him the right guy to play this troll! Good call Prime! I smell Oscar.

        2. Jack’s really good with numbers and stats, maybe we can ask him to run the number for the budget, so far need 300 million for all the CGI.

    1. via MM … Fangio says Willis Questionable. Be nice to have him, especially with Aldon still out.
