49ers – Browns Injury Report

The San Francisco 49ers made it out of their week 4 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys without any major injuries. The only injury from the game was to left guard Aaron Banks. San Francisco received good news when Banks’ injury was found to be a mild shoulder sprain. This week they will travel to Cleveland. Deshaun Watson could miss his second consecutive game. This has led head coach Kevin Stefanski to name P.J. Walker as the number two quarterback. Walker is currently on the Browns practice squad. He made seven starts for Carolina from 2020-2022 and has completed 57.5 percent of his career passes with five touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

The other option at quarterback is rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson who started for the Browns in a 28-3 loss to the Ravens back on October 1. The rookie went 19-of-36 for 121 yards and three interceptions.

  1. You know something, part of the reason for the.
49ers success so far is the fact that the injury bug for once has not been prevalent. The Browns have a top 5 defense the last I saw in the statistics. I wish George Kittle didn’t make that boneheaded mistake of showing that expletive Dallas on his shirt. That’s poor sportsmanship. If we meet again in the playoffs the Cowboys would be pumped up by that and be more dangerous. Plus it’s hard to beat the same team three years in a row. Even at home.

    1. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F ARE YOU DOING? HOW DARE YOU UTTER THIS BS. NO ONE – NO ONE -NO ONE on this blog should EVER post about injuries ever ever ever again!!! This is worse than an announcer talking about a no hitter after the 6th inning. Shame on you!

  3. Good write up, Jack.
If Watson can’t play on Sunday that would a be big loss for the Browns. They have a decent defense, but their offense (even with Watson) is a league bottom-feeder ranked at 30.

This game could come down to Shanahan keeping the team’s intensity level up after the big blowout against Dallas.

The 49ers have the look of a magical season. And when a team like this loses, it’s usually because they slack off or take team’s lightly. It’s team’s like the Browns that Shanahan must keep his players focused.
Not predicting a score, but this should be a 49ers win.

    1. Offense is putrid but Cleveland has maybe the best defense in the league. Very strong d-line and one of the best secondaries in the league. Add in there could be rain with 20 mph winds at game time. Bad weather is an unfortunate equalizer in this situation.

  4. This news must be a relief for the team as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns, who had a bye week, may face the challenge of potentially not having their starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson, available for the game. It will be interesting to see how both teams navigate these circumstances and compete on the field.
