  3. Didn’t have the time to check this one out, but I’m glad to hear Grant is catching the train. The Browns offensive line can’t stand the heat against the 49ers defensive front, and will have no choice but to get out of the Kitchens….

      A quick perusal of Browns blogs shows they are, just as, if not more, confident than we are. Monday we’ll find out what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. SOS to Seb for his boulder removal plan.

    The Raiders are putting Matt Nagy out of business. Can’t believe I ever thought he was better than Kyle Shanahan. Nagy coaches scared.

    Adding to the disbelief were your thoughts regarding the Purdue head coach.

    2. Nagy is a first rate punk, as witnessed by the abusive approach he took to finding a new kicker in the offseason. This guy has some serious mental issues.

    3. Cohn has no clue and it’s easy to see when you read anything he writes. He is a hot take guy who makes dumb claims that change weekly if not daily. It’s a joke that this guy has a job doing this. Not surprising he can’t get a job anywhere else though. Daddy’s reach doesn’t extend past this little paper.

    1. I wonder if Tyler Badass out of Wisconsin would be a fit for Shanny’s system. Might need to go edge again if Ford’s off season surgery doesn’t rectify his issues….

      1. Right now I think the biggest needs are WR, FS, and NCB. However, edge will potentially go flying up the list if Ford cannot bounce back.

        1. S, T, CB, G would be my high list, though before the end of the year it will be different for sure.

        3. After the draft I felt the team’s biggest remaining holes were in the secondary and OL, and I don’t think that has changed. We are seeing with Staley and Witherspoon injured the lack of quality depth. Maybe if Moseley plays well the CB position becomes less of a need, but they still need to improve the quality of the depth overall in the secondary.

          Things of course can change as the season progresses, but those are the biggest needs I see right now.

          But I also am loving that I don’t feel that invested in the coming draft after just a quarter of the season! 49ers are in the hunt for the first time in a long time. Draft thoughts can come later!

          1. We are going to find out tomorrow night whether our secondary is for real or not.
            In all 3 wins the defense has been really good but tomorrow night our secondary gets a great test.

            Not sure why the board has brought up the draft but next years focus where ever we pick, should be BPA in each round.

            1. Said the guy who bet 200 bucks that the Niners would draft Mitch Trubisky. Best player available? He was not even the best QB. Mahomes and Watson were.

        4. We have a quarterback who’s accuracy and decision making drop off significantly with any distance, not so sure the receivers we already have aren’t enough. Deebo has the potential to be a big playmaker. When you’re a dink and dunk QB, who needs a true #1WR?

          Offensive line, safety and corner should be top priorities in the next draft. Those should have been the priority in the past draft too but here’s hoping they actually address their needs this time.

  7. So grateful that we never hired Adam Gase. I mean Tomsula wasn’t any better but wow, Gase was a good miss.

    2. Speaking of overrated Coaches , can’t help but notice people aren’t pimping Fangio and his 0-4 record against mediocre to bad teams.

        1. Yeah – Hopefully he has a 6 year guaranteed contract . IIRC 49ers were 0-4 at this point under KS….Just saying.

  8. The Falcons sure have turned bad quickly. They should fire sale that team including trading Ryan.

  9. Great Periscope Grant. I am like you in believing this is a game that the 49ers should be able to win. I had this game as a loss previously, but after the way the 49ers gutted out a win against the Steelers, I am changing it to a win. The Browns and 49ers have strong defenses, but I believe the 49ers have the better offense overall despite the Browns having Landry and OJB at WR. The pass rush of the 49ers will help the secondary keep Landry and OBJ in check.

  10. This game is being built up more than it should be. The Browns are not a strong team, yet.

    The 49ers defense is going to take away the run game and force Baker to put the team on his shoulders for the win and he’s just not there yet. I expect the game will be somewhat close for a short time but then quickly devolve into a blow out.

    The only thing that can upend the 49ers on Monday night is Jimmy’s decision making.

    I expect a score somewhere along the lines of 31-14.

    The team will have 3 true tests in the next 6 games. @ Rams, home against the Panthers and then on the road in Seattle. Those will be the games that show us what kind of team we really have.
