  4. Hmm, they have Foster inactive. Wonder why they cut Bowman if his replacement is not ready.

    1. Because there are other linebackers who have earned the snaps. Both Watson and Coyle have performed fairly well in their limited looks.

      Also, I’m thinking that Tartt has earned a starters role. It’ll remain to be seen if he actually gets it because coaches tend to react slowly. But Tartt, who as massively over-rated his fist couple of years has really made a massive improvement in his game.

      Meanwhile Reid has stepped up his game and is playing well, though no All-Pro while Ward has slipped, leaving Ward the odd-man out right now.

  5. Prediction 34-15 Redskins. No Foster and I don’t believe Ray-Ray it Brock can handle things better. Watch for Washington to run over us. Also, we cannot generate adequate pressure. This adds up to a long day!

  7. Well, I’ve picked the Niners to win all 5 weeks in close ones except the Colts game where I had them winning handily. For a young team, I think they’ve been competitive, but youth and inexperience has brought mistakes, something you can’t have in the difficult to win NFL. So I’ll change today and maybe take the jinx off! ;))
    Washington seems to me to be a house of horrors for the Niners. Thinking back to ‘83 where they got totally screwed by the refs after coming back from a 21-0 deficit only to lose on a field goal after two highly questionable defensive penalties (PI on Williamson and Holding on Lott), and a chance to play the Raiders in the SB. Terrible calls! So I’ll say the Niners will remain competive but will continue to fail to finish.

  9. Want to really know how Shanahan feels about Hoyer? If he drops 11 into coverage vs Cousins that will tell us alot.

  12. In the last several years, the 49ers have not produced many significant “good” games in this time slot. It will interesting to watch their performance with a new HC.

  13. Redskins went through our defense like a hot knife though butter.
    Let’s see if our offense can bring something to the table in this game.
    Sure the news filtering out regarding Hyde has reached his ears. Maybe he comes out with a vengeance.

  14. Offense still unable to execute a pass route on 3rd down that covers the necessary yardage for first down. Been a problem for most games. 0-6 looms large!
