SANTA CLARA — Last Sunday, Reuben Foster wasn’t even allowed inside Levi’s Stadium. He was suspended. Had to stay far away. So, he drove to a Chick-fil-A near his house to watch the 49ers play. But Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.

Foster forgot. He normally works on Sundays. He had to drive back home and watch from there.

This week, he actually gets to play football again. His two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct and substances-of-abuse policies is over.

“I’ve got to be real cautious about getting too excited this week, because it’s my first day back,” Foster said at his locker on Thursday. “Getting overwhelmed is very easy. I do that every time, even if you don’t see it. I tend to do it a lot.”

The 49ers don’t seem to mind. They’re just grateful Foster is back, even if he’s overwhelmed and overexcited.

  1. Foster may be the hidden weapon that may take KC by surprise.
I am glad Warner will keep the green dot. That will allow Foster to focus on playing football, not directing other players. Foster can now let his football instincts take over, so he can let his talent shine.
However, I also hope he plays smart, and does not use his body as a heat seeking missile. I hope he plays head up, and wraps up.

      1. No, I am merely trying to advise him to tackle in a manner that will prolong his career. I hope Foster can play 10 years for the Niners and help them win a couple rings.
If you did not know this, Foster plays with reckless abandon, but he also tends to become injured.
Sounds like you want to get on the field and show how it is done. I just want to see Foster play smart, play within the rules and preserve his health.
Niners had a hard time wrapping up these last 2 games. I hope Foster, and all the defenders, can wrap up so the ball carrier does not bounce off and make it past the first down marker.

  2. now just stay on the field. No off the field brainless bone headed decisions and no knocking yourself out on the field trying to cripple people

  3. What’s the over/under on how many quarters he can play before he injures himself?

Lynch needs to swallow his pride and ship Foster out of here while he can still get recoup something decent for his other wasted 2017 first round pick. We’ll never get anything good for Queen Solomon but at least Foster can still fool a couple of teams into giving up a pair of picks for him.

I’m not sure what occured in you from last year to this, but you’re certainly different…You act as though Foster had stolen your favorite girl….Last yeqar we had Foster (at MLB) and no one else. I believe that foster took it upon himself to annihilate the opponents by himself…He was a rookie, after all. This year, He has Warner and maybe even Smith…Give him a break coffee and watch those two reap some havoc…
