SANTA CLARA — Here is the live blog for the 49ers’ Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers. I will update this with information and analysis from the press box.

11:38 These are the 49ers’ inactives:

  1. WR Marquise Goodwin
  2. CB Ahkello Witherspoon
  3. FB Kyle Juszczyk
  4. OT Joe Staley
  5. OT Mike McGlinchey
  6. DT Jullian Taylor
  7. QB C.J. Beathard

12:47 These are the Panthers’ inactives:

  1. QB Cam Newton
  2. OT Greg Little
  3. EDGE Christian Miller
  4. OL Bryan Witzmann
  5. DE Bryan Cox Jr.
  6. WR Greg Dortch

1:02 The 49ers will receive the opening kickoff.

1:13 On second and goal from the four, Jimmy Garoppolo throws a touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders, who ran a quick out route from the slot. The 49ers lead 7-0 after an 11-play, 75-yard drive, which was impeccably designed by Kyle Shanahan. Jimmy Garoppolo’s longest completion was a 15-yard backhanded shovel pass to Matt Breida for 15 yards. And the 49ers had their first explosive run since Kyle Juszczyk went down — a 22-yard gain by Tevin Coleman. The play was an RPO from the shotgun, and the blocking was outside zone to the left.

1:19 On third and five, Nick Bosa beats right tackle Taylor Moton and sacks Kyle Allen. The Panthers go three and out. The 49ers will start their second offensive series from their 38. Garoppolo threw the ball to Sanders three times during the opening series.

1:23 First play, Garoppolo forces a pass to his second read, George Kittle, who is not open. Luke Kuechly intercepts the pass. Hello, Bad Jimmy.

1:25 On third and five from the 49ers 21, Arik Armstead sacks Allen for a loss of two. The Panthers make a 41-yard field goal. The 49ers lead 7-3. The Panthers fail to take advantage of a huge opportunity, just as the Steelers did Week 3 against the 49ers.

1:37 On second and 11 from the Panthers 19, Shanahan calls another RPO for Coleman, who runs 19 yards for the touchdown. The RPO has revived the 49ers’ running game, which has been D.O.A. since Kyle Juszczyk got hurt. Kyle Shanahan has adapted so well this season. The 49ers lead 14-3.

1:42 The first quarter ends. The Panthers will face first and 10 from the 21 when the second quarter starts.

1:47 On second and 11 from the 20, Emmanuel Moseley intercepts Allen. The 49ers get the ball at the Panthers 27.

1:50 On second and goal from the 10, Garoppolo throws a screeen pass to Coleman, who runs 10 yards and scores easily. The 49ers lead 21-3. Shanahan is killing the Panthers simply with runs and screen passes. Amazing.

1:57 On second and 15 from the Panthers 48, D.J. Jones sacks Allen. The Panthers punt two plays later. The 49ers get the ball at their 33.

2:06 On second and 10 from the Panthers 48, Eric Reid blitzes, beats Ross Dwelley and sacks Garoppolo for a 16-yard loss. The 49ers punt two plays later. The Panthers get the ball at their seven-yard line.

2:13 Arik Armstead sacks Allen on third and five from the Panthers 42. The 49ers have sacked Allen four times in the first half. They get the ball at their 37.

2:20 On first and five from the 49ers 48, Coleman runs 48 yards untouched for a touchdown. The extra point is no good because Wishnowsky pulled the ball to avoid a blocked kick. The 49ers lead 27-3.

2:27 Bosa sacks Allen twice during this drive and the Panthers punt with 50 seconds left in the half. The 49ers get the ball at their 25.

2:48 Allen throws a deep incomplete pass on third and 10 from Carolina’s 42. The Panthers’ punt bounces out of bounds at the 49ers two-yard line.

2:51 On second and 7 from the 49ers five yard line, Shanahan calls a pass with a seven-step drop, and Justin Skule gives up a sack/safety to Bruce Irvin. Confident/reckless call by Shanahan that close to his own end zone. The 49ers lead 27-5, and the Panthers will get the ball.

2:54 The Panthers start from their 49.

2:57 On second and 10 from the 49ers 40, McCaffrey runs 40 yards untouched for a touchdown. The Panthers are going for two.

2:59. Ronald Blair jumps offside. The Panthers try again from the one yard line and McCaffrey crosses the goal line. The 49ers trail 27-13. They have let the Panthers back in this game.

3:08 On first and 10 from the 20, Garoppolo hands off to Deebo Samuel, who runs an end around and scores a touchdown. Excellent play design by Kyle Shanahan. His red-zone offense has been phenomenal today.

3:14 The Panthers commit an illegal block above the waist on first and 10, then go three-and-out. They’ve lost the will to compete.

3:19 On third and four from the 39, Garoppolo scrambles and gets sacked by Irvin. The 49ers punt and down the ball at the Panthers’ two-yard line.

3:23 On third and 12 from the Panthers 11, Allen throws an interception directly to Richard Sherman, who was in the right place at the right time. He returns the ball to the Panthers 10.

3:26 Eric Reid commits pass interference on a pass intended for George Kittle in the end zone. Next play, Coleman runs into the end zone from one yard out. The 49ers leadd 41-13. What a beat down.

3:31 On first and 10 from the 49ers’ 38, Allen throws a pass directly to Bosa, who intercepts it and runs 46 yards to the Panthers’ eight-yard line. What an amazing play.

3:36 Gould makes a 20-yard field goal and the 49ers lead 44-13.

3:58 The 49ers pull their starters. Nick Mullens enters the game for Garoppolo. First play of the drive, Mullens hands off to Raheem Mostert who runs 41 yards for the touchdown. The 49ers lead 51-13.

  1. Uh oh. No Q. That’s no bueno. My main hope for today is to come out with no major injuries. Eric Reid is going to be taking shots at Kittles knees & ankles. Hope our receivers keep their head on a swivel and always put a hat on Reid.

    1. I’m not so worried about not having Goodwin in the game. He’s only good for maybe 2 or 3 touches a game anyway. It gives someone else, other than Sanders, an opportunity to show what they can do. And it may be time to start thinking about life after Goodwin.

      1. Godwin’s deep speed opens up the intermediate and short routes. Godwin’s impact goes way beyond his touches. Carolina can now sit on the shorter routes and perhaps play safety’s a little closer to the LOS for run support which makes everyone’s job harder.

        1. Agreed. However, fear not, Sanders will command a lot more respect than Goodwin.

I think Sanders will be to our offense what Sherman was to our defense.

  2. With Goodwin down we need someone to really step up and drop a few passes today.

    Next man up!

  3. 20-16 Panthers is my prediction but I hope I’m wrong.

Also, hoping for a S******* free blog today!

  4. Can someone tell me why in the Euck there’s a picture of McCaffrey on a 49ers Insiders blog? Blasphemy! It’s time to go Emperor Nero on Christian! Let’s go NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. 1. Niners win 23 -9 (2 TD , 3 FG)

Expect new #49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders to play a lot and be involved in his first game with team today.

    3. Let’s get ready to rumble.

  6. Anyone at the Stadium? What is the wind like?
In the East Bay the wind gusts are pretty fierce still.

    1. Couldn’t have scripted a better opening drive! GO NINERS!!

      Welcome to the team Emmanuel!

  7. How many 49dr fans do not have power and will not be able to watch the game let alone comment on the net?

  8. Oh my Grant… Niners are gonna wear Sanders out. Niners are panicking…they’re rushing things. They feel pressure.

  9. Wow! Bosa!!

I think I’ve said this every week of the season so far, but THE NINERS ARE FOR REAL

  10. Hey Grant… If Bosa hadn’t fallen down, he would likely have been run out of the play. Falling down, the QB moving to his right was there to be sacked… Bosa got up and…bingo. Down goes Allen.

    1. Lets how it’s just one. When are Jimmy apologists going to acknowledge that he makes really bad decisions?

  11. Well, Jimmy throws his usual interception. Not a good throw at all. Bac decision as usual.

    1. I don’t hate him, just wish he would grow out of this phase of throwing multiple boneheaded passes a game.

    2. It;s not hating to point out the obvious. The guy makes bad decisions. That’s not inexperience, it’s a mindset that reflects either bad field vision or a propensity to decide where he is going to go before he views the field. His poor choices are not isolated but constant.

    1. clearly not much better or someone would have came calling, don’t you think? Noodle armed qbs with limited mobility don’t last in this league in case you aren’t noticing.

    1. Deebo might have physical skills but he is making a lot of stupid rookie mistakes. Hope they are just rookie mistakes and not that he is another Patton.

  12. Damn I hate when runners dance around behind the line, just put your head down and just get yards.

Samual with another unnecessary bad block. He makes a lot of mental errors as well.

    1. They are robbing him on purpose to keep his stats down. Lower stats mean they will have to pay him less on his next contract. LOL.

  13. GQ Jimmy is lookin great except that one horrible pass.
    Let’s go D!!
    Where’s my old buddy HoferFan67?

    1. Have to admit the success of this offense is play calling. I used to think KS was too clever by half. I was wrong. He’s a really good play caller

  14. Jimmy is NOT a game manager. He is a gunslinger similar to Favre. Look at Favre’s career, especially his first three years. Tons of interceptions. Get used to it. He wins. That’s all that matters. He’s not Alex Smith, who was CS to throw the ball. The guy does nothing but win yet fans still whine. Jeesh. Look at the bright side. Niners will lose a game eventually and then you can blame it all on Jimmy.

  15. I know I’m an old-school SOB but I really hate that unnecessary roughness call against the Panthers. The guy is going full speed and trying to dislodge the ball chest high or so and Kittle is coming down causing helmet to helmet contact. That’s just a BS rule in my opinion.

      1. Disagree. No doubt the Panther dB had poor form but he didn’t hit with the top of his helmet which is the definition of a spear. The dB turned his head and couldn’t see what he was hitting. Not spearing.

    1. Yeah you probably have a few screws loose. We can’t take chances with humans and brain injuries. The game needs to change and it may not be fun to watch, but it’s the right thing to do. The alternative is Kittle shooting up a shopping mall 20 years later or offing himself because his head isn’t right.

      1. You’re an absolute imbecile. No doubt you hv never played a form of football in your life.

  16. Man this team is good. Wow. ? ?

No way I thought we were this good. Unbelievable.

    Mosley? That’s funny.

    1. I’m sorry was it you who said Lynch couldn’t draft talent and that Shannys system only put up yards and not points?
      Yeah eat that Jacko!

        1. Great pick up right? Ramsey would be better.
But that’s not important as stuffing your face with crow as all offseason you criticized both Shanny and Lynch for things they did.
          Brick by brick remember Jack?

          1. « Ramsey would be better. »

            Now that’s funny.

            1. That’s all BS. All summer you cried and cried about how this rebuild was taking too long and that Shanny could not put up points.
Now you throw a season prediction and that gives you a pass?
              GTFOH fair weather clown!

              1. « All summer you cried and cried about how this rebuild was taking too long and that Shanny could not put up points.

Guess it’s a good thing that prediction was made back in the spring.

              2. Like Richard Sherman said all you doubters continue to doubt. We don’t want you now! There’s no room for you now on the bandwagon.

Listen up, teams don’t test Niners, Niners test them.

  19. Re: Houston 49er,
I agree with your old school thought. But these things come around; so I’ll take ’em where we can get ’em.

  20. Hey Houston 9er the same bogus was just called on our #6 punter. Just not the same football anymore! I love our team though!

    1. The ball carrier actually lowered his head and created the “spearing”.

  21. Hey everyone..

I agree the unnecessary roughness calls on high hits, helmet to helmet hits and spearing defenseless players is tough to watch and takes away from the “toughness” of the game, but at the same time I don’t want to see these men unable to play with their children or recognize their families ten years later.

The rules are absurd but necessary until the NFL has another solution to the problem. I nearly quit watching football a few years ago because of 2 reasons- too many rules, and too many guys getting their heads knocked off.

It may be fun watching guys get creamed but at the same time I just don’t want any of these guys to be completely dysfunctional due to CTE. It’s not cool. They are entertainers but i don’t want to be entertained at the cost of their lives.

  22. Jimmy G is actually playing a great game. It’s almost like he just needs to throw a pick and get it out of his system.

    1. Maybe he should throw 8 or 9 and get the rest of the season out of his system. Don’t be ridiculous.

    2. If this is a great game the standards must really be really low. He is certainly playing better and making plays, but great??????

      1. Yeah, standards are lower. Not a lot of “great” QBs out there anymore. It’s a relative term IMO.

      2. In regards to what he needs to do, yes it is. He’s moving the chains, accurate with his throws, very efficient. Take the pick away and he’s literally perfect so far.

  23. Richie James doing a great job fielding wacky punts in the wind from a left-footed punter.

    Winning in all three phases.

  24. Niner faithfull, I am flipping it back and forth to the red zone, every one is gushing over the patriots. You know what all this reminds me of? Right before the first match of rocky 3, rocky(patriots) are fighting tomatoe cans , clubber lang(Niners) is just wrecking whatever fools he encounters! Love this, Coleman is fast! Having a blast in Chico!

      1. Used to be Paradise but I guess you scorched my town in a fit of rage, it is weird living on flat land in Chico after spending most of mylife in the hills and woods of Paradise, ca! Scary how the fires are going through more communities! My heart goes up out to the fire victims of Sonoma county! It is no fun to go through. It does get better in time like Calistoga red told me last year but still sucks! Good to be alive with my family! Fin to watch this team, long ways to go but what a good vibe they play with!

    1. Jack, this may even be better than 2011! But similarities abound including fans whining about the QB play.

  25. Picking up Coleman was so foolish.
Bosa was a bad draft choice.
    Signing Alexander was a waste.

Lynch just keeps making these mistakes.?

    1. Yeah, the Alexander acquisition received an F as I recall… And late last season Saleh and Shanahan had to be fired–with prejudice.

    2. And what a waste of draft picks for sanders! ESPN gave the Niners a c for the trades, east coast blast!

    1. Clearly not until next week (said after each win). The first loss, regardless of opponent’s W/L record, will then be the “I told you so” moment.

    2. sorry, this just in from the stress test scheduling dept. staff:

stress test delayed till Thursday night…

Damn that stress test scheduling dept., they really need to get their act together!

  26. OT- Power went out at 8pm. Call came in at 4 am. I went to my son’s house in Santa Rosa, the the evacuation alert came within 100 yards. Now, after 3 hours, we made it to Berkeley.
    .
Hope everyone is safe, and enjoying this game. I am.
    .
    GO NINERS!!!!!!

    1. So sorry seb you and your family are going through that, if your son loses his house I have a lot of info that could be helpful. Let me know if I can help in anyway, you ere very nice to me when we lost our house. God speed!

      1. That was posted before that run happened. I cant keep up and looks like you cant either :)

  27. Do not let up off the gas. I have always hated a Coach who plays it safe after getting a lead.

  28. Over is a winner! -5 1/2 is looking good. My 27-17 prediction is not so good. Not bad either though. :)
Good day today. If this holds, 4-1.

  29. 1. Niners have reduced their penalties this year.
    2. Bosa looks a little banged up, maybe should reduce his minutes or take him out.
    3. Jimmy G. Needs to learn to throw it away.
    4. I don’t think there is a better tight end than Kittle.
    5. Sure enjoying this season.

  30. Coach will probably say that they didn’t face Newton so the win is slightly tarnished! Bet anyone?

  31. Mcf just got erased by ward … .as I write this …i look up and Bosa gets a pick…hàaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    This is the best…….

  32. I’ll be one to admit I was dead wrong on Bosa!

Thought he’d be riding the pine all year with various injuries. Holy moly!

  33. Wow Bosa, I was so rooting for a pick 6 there too, he was so close. What a player. No one can question his toughness either, he more than earned the right to sit the rest of the game out but the guy just keeps going.

  34. For you ‘younger’ posters, remember this game. A few of us old timers saw the 9ers completely take over games way back in the day. Savor this one….assuming the Panthers don’t explode for 50 points in the 4th.

    Remember.

    1. It does have the feel of those games from the late 80’s, doesn’t it?

      This is a special team.

    2. The cliche is you take what the defense gives you but Walsh’s teams would force defenses to adjust to them. This team is starting to look the same way.

    1. I thought Allen was a good QB playing in his 5th(?) game. His down field accuracy is exciting to watch.
This defense is just in beast mode. I’d expect any QB to struggle with the rotation they put in and the motors that aren’t quitting.

    1. Why poor grant? He doesn’t get a pay cut if the niners lose. In fact he predicted them to win

      1. Says Grant: The 49ers haven’t acted like an undefeated team this week. They’ve acted threatened. Because they are threatened. The Panthers are good. They’ve won four games in a row with their backup quarterback, Kyle Allen, since starter Cam Newton injured his foot Week 2. The Panthers might be better without Newton. And they’re coming off a bye week. They’re the toughest opponent the 49ers have faced this season, and the 49ers are hurting.

The 49ers still should win, but not by much. The game will be close.

        Grant covered himself well enough.

    2. He made his bed, **** in it, then lit it on fire. What he gets is the mocking he earned with his absolutist, nuance-free opinions.

      1. “absolutist, nuance-free opinions” are sorely missing in this panzy-a$$ country/world. This is football, the less nuance, the better! Soccer or tennis might be the sport for you.

        1. “absolutist, nuance-free opinions” are sorely missing in this panzy-a$$ country/world

          Missing??? Lol.

          1. Yeah, too many who substitute nuance for intelligence. One thing is for sure though, nuance demonstrates a lack of balls

  35. Allen interceptions in first 5 games: 0
Allen interceptions against the untested Niners: 3

Did anyone see this happening? I didn’t. This team is reminding me more and more of the 81 team.

  36. Remember last week when the Niners only scored 9 and everyone was like the Niners offense is no show?

    1. Isn’t it obvious that the Panthers are a fraud? They were highly over rated and the Niners beat another very bad team. The 49ers will get exposed in the next game for sure. sarcasm

      1. Kyler Murray will throw for 400+ yards and 4 TDs, adding another 150+ yards rushing with 3 scores. We’re doomed. Give up.

      2. Ya’ know, if you hadn’t added the ‘sarcasm’ note, you’d be buried in troll guano by now! ?

        1. I started to leave it off to see if posters had their sarcasm detector working. Decided it was better to state the obvious.

  37. And Jimmy, of interceptions, throwing off the wrong foot, not looking off the safety, making bad decisions, dating porn stars, driving a fancy sports car, not calling his mother enough, not running out of bounds when he should, JUST KEEPS WINNING!
    LOL!

    1. It’s better to just accept that Jimmy’s going to throw an INT in each game, and just move on with the rest of his game.

  38. Bosa had a hell of a day….he looks better each week…is it fair to say he is a BEAST……

  39. Doesn’t get much better than this.

7-0. Blow them out which helps get guys out of the game early going into a short week.

    On to Arizona.

    1. Man, it really has been such a great year. Feels like the Faithful have paid our dues with losses and misfortune. The 49ers are due and it feels so great to be a fan right now. HaRoo! HaRoo! HaRoo!

      1. “Brick by brick baby!”

Until someone gets hurt, then it’s time to make a trade and give big bucks to someone else because the backups aren’t good enough. Oh wait. lol

        1. Nothing wrong with exploring depth when you have a team close to winning.

But in a rebuild, year three was taking too long. AND Shanny’s offense only produces yards not points right?

Jack you are the one who looks stupid now after all your crying in the offseason. The faithful knew what Shanny and Lynch were doing. You were just trying to look smart and in the end you look like an idiot

          1. “Jack you are the one who looks stupid now”

            11-5

            1. Shanny’s offense laid 55 on the Panthers, but his system only produces yards right Jack?

Take your season prediction hedging and shove it.
Like Sherman said, doubters keep doubting. No room for you fair weather fans!

              1. Whatever, you look dumb now saying his offense could only produce yards and not points.
                51, 54, 43 it doesn’t matter.
You were a doubter with a lot of negative towards Shanny.
How do you feel now? I feel great knowing I believed he was an exceptional coach.
                A rebuild takes time son.
                Brick by brick baby!

              2. I don’t think Shanahan teams are capable of aerial attacks with Garoppolo under center in 2019. I have been a critic of his offense and it’s inability to put up points.
He put up points running the ball. He still hasn’t figured out how to score through the air. But when you hang 51 points on a 4-2 team on the ground you don’t need an air attack. Shanahan’s offense is like an Apple upgrade to a Harbaugh offense. Lots of presnap motions and challenging the defense to trust their gaps and not their eyes.

Oct 2, the Philadelphia Eagles hung 40 and what would be the Niners super bowl year. I remember the game well because all my buddies clowned me for still wearing Niner gear after the game to school.
That was the game Steve Young cited. Stating that things clicked and guys started playing in a “zone” After that embarrassing loss. Let’s see what this team does now that they’ve embarrassed a quality team.
Some people on here just want to be right so bad they can’t enjoy an amazing win and a freaking fun season.
Relax. There isn’t any award for fan cop. Officer no badge go enjoy the win and celebrate with everyone. It’s a rare fun time to be a 49 er fan. Things move fast in the nfl.

              3. Hey Matt, when people talk out of their behind and think they’re always right,it’s important to let them know they are wrong and bring them back down to a human level.
                7-0!

              4. ” think they’re always right,”

I’m not always right, i had the 49ers at 5-2 to this point.

              5. You are not always right but think you’re always right.
You said a lot of critical things this offseason and it’s all coming back to prove you wrong. Own it.

              6. Oh I’m quite enjoying watching Shanahan turn the clock back to 2011-2013 with the ground game and defense to win games.

His balanced approach is one of the things that I was saying would be necessary to win.

              7. You are dreaming trying to compare this team to the Harbaugh days.
This offense has creativity and fire power. Harbaugh could not hold a jock strap to Shanahan.

          2. “Matt” is consistently wrong about every single thing he posts here, and has been for several years. It’s amazing really that he can’t get it right even by random chance once in a while; even a stopped clock is right twice a day! #Incredulous.

        2. Jack,
Bosa may have had the best game of any 49ers player in the last 10 years. Yet, you can’t bring yourself to mention his name.
C’mon Jack, how hard is it to say Bosa? ?

          1. Oh poor AES. I had a comment for Lil Nicky that was deleted for bad language I guess right after his pick that went something like this, “NICK BOSA!! Holy Smokes!!”

Funny thing about Lil Nicky, during the offseason i mentioned that we should expect around 12-14 sacks from him and some took that as a setup to rip him later. He’s well on his way.

Some of y’all are way too damn sensitive.

            1. And some think they can be arrogant because they’re right most of the time, but can’t admit when they are wrong.
C’mon Jack, is it really hard to say Bosa?
Stop being so sensitive about our best defensive player.
I’m sure you will not have a problem saying his name if he gets injured.

              1. “AES says:

…..C’mon Jack, is it really hard to say Bosa?”

                Like this?

                “Jack Hammer says:
                October 27, 2019 at 6:30 pm
                ……“NICK BOSA!! Holy Smokes!!”

    2. It was a marvelous defensive game. A joy to watch.

As many know, I live in Panther country and the 49er contingents came out in force (way bigger than the Carolina group). A local sports radio station showed up and was more impressed with us so they bought us food!

    3. What a great game eh Jack?? feel good to be a Frisco fan again …. LOL….Arizona is toast we will get that one too

  40. What an Epic beat-down!Doesn’t get much better than this.. Lol, I thought the 9ers would lose this game, but I wasn’t even close. :p

Bosa is an animal…..razor called it! Shanny called a masterclass…..Kittle was Kittle and just give the game ball to the D-Line!

    1. That play where Shanny used Deebo on a trap play was sheer genius. It was a thing of beauty.

      1. Man….you were right about Bosa! How does that guy pick off a checkdown? A freakin’ checkdown and return it forty yards….just shakin’ my head.!

Yep 225 rushing yards against a pretty good D-Line.

        1. You guys just didn’t realize the gift that the Cardinals bestowed upon our esteemed franchise by selecting Murray. Soon it will be time to tar and feather their number one draft pick, but tonight we party!

  41. Thanks all for your kind words.
    .
Reb, I am still crossing my fingers, but thanks for your offer for experience based counseling.
    .
I am jumping for joy over this dominant Niner win. The one bright spot in these trying times.
    .
Last night, I was writing a post about what I hoped would happen.I was thinking that JG should just concentrate on scoring TDs, and not settling for field goals. I also wanted them to invite the blitz, then attack the area the blitzer left. I was checking my spelling, and the power went out.
    .
Another hope was for Bosa to get another sack. he wildly exceeded my expectations. Razor should be proud.

    1. Glad you are all safe. Just because we are keyboard rivals doesn’t mean we don’t want the best for you or your family. The entire community is in our thoughts and prayers.

      1. SY,
        Good looking out my friend.
Seb, I also share the same thoughts as Sour Yeast.
Hope all is well with you and family.

    2. Seb, just for cautious measures, get a P.O. Box now if you do not have one, also get copies of birth certificates, in a disaster area they may waive most fees, call your insurance agents now to know who the point person is, this will save time and hastles, if you need anything let me know, maybe we can go through Grant and I can have him relay my email and cell number to you! Praying and thinking good thoughts!

    1. These Pretenders are special, so special gotta have some of your attention, give it to them!

    2. FRM,
Yup, that’s a lot of talking from a man who looked completely lost on a couple run plays that had him standing like a statue.

  42. “He’s an incredibly poised player,” Sherman said. “He’s everything you could ask for. He’s probably one of the best picks in 10 years with just how he’s played, and he’s played like this since Day One. If it wasn’t for the ankle injury, everyone would have seen early on in the preseason. But when he didn’t play in the preseason everyone was like, ‘Oh, my God, he’s the No. 2 pick and he hasn’t played.’ But if you came in here, if you watched him from Day One like we got to, he plays like a 10-year vet, he plays with such savvy, poise, aggression, that it’s like he’s been playing on this level. You can tell he’s been coached up great from an early age, his family has great pedigree. But he’s an incredible talent, and he’s so humble.”

  43. The 49ers still should win, but not by much. The game will be close.

ha ha ha…..its been a tough season for grant….

  44. If you haven’t seen this defense or Bosa for that matter in person. I suggest you do it. This unit is special.
Finally the Stitch is making some memories.
It’s hallow with great ones. Maybe this postseason brings our first.

        1. I couldn’t believe the speed that D J Jones showed on that sack. From the TV view we all thought it was either Bosa or Dee Ford at first. There was real desire cranking up that speed.

          1. That INT and run by Bosa was unbelievable. Have the Niners ever had a pass rusher with that type of athleticism?

  45. 1. I cant believe Bosa didn’t take the pick in for P6. What a Bust.
    2. Niners beat 2 teams coming off a long week.

    3. Grant after 2pt Panthers conversion: Ronald Blair jumps offside. The Panthers try again from the one yard line and McCaffrey crosses the goal line. The 49ers trail 27-13. They have let the Panthers back in this game.

    4. Jimmy 18 of 22, 175, 2 TD, 1 INT , 1 TD to Kittle called back due to penalty
    5. The new narrative will be “are the Niners overconfident on a short weak versus Cards.”
    6. Then of course – can they beat RussWilson and Seattle.

  46. I would like to slap Shanahan around the goal posts for two dumb calls at the end of the first half:

    1. About 30 seconds left, SF on their 20-30 yard line. Kittle gets the ball and runs into the middle of defenses. WHY ?

    2. About 5 seconds left. Breida gets the ball and is promptly gang tackled. Gets up with a limp and does not return for the second half. WHY ? Lots of options for KS…..other than to use these two WITH HALF COMING TO A CLOSE…AND NO CHANCE TO SCORE.

      1. Kittle could have been hurt and Breida did tweak his ankle. Not wise to close out the half on that note.

  47. Anybody else see McCaffery take some cheap chip type blocks? more than once I saw him chip in the kidney area…once to Bosa and once to Blair…there was prob more….??? but yes blatantly to the kidney area..

  48. we have lost eight consecutive games to the Cardinals…….that should be enough to motivate the team…..

  49. I came here just to say this.. Y’all remember when SEB used to say all the time, “Shanny needs to hire an offensive coordinator “ ?? what a joke.. Oh and let’s not forget COFFEE FOR CLOSERS famed, “I’m done with this team”??? I bet both are still here talkin stuff like those words were never uttered!!!

    1. Lets not forget all the people who were upset with the team’s record the last two years and were critical of the plan that Shanahan and Lynch put together to build this team right. I suspected all the pieces would suddenly just come together and the team would improve drastically in a short amount of time. Let’s not forget those that said that Shanahan was on the hot seat and he should fire Solah.

Perhaps people might learn a lesson in being in too much of a hurry and being locked into ” in the box thinking”. But I doubt that will happen. I for one saw what they were attempting to do and believed they should have the time to implement their plan instead of calling for their heads. It sort of seemed reasonable that Shanahan would know better than anyone else what players were best for his system.

  50. Only got to see the first half before heading to work, but that first half was a beaut. And looks like they just carried on in the second half. Dropping 50+ on what was the 3rd highest ranked D in the NFL says all you need to know about where this team is at on offense.

I’m sure the JG naysayers will spend the week pointing out his INT and that he threw for less than 200 yards again, etc, but will gloss over the fact that bar the INT he was highly efficient once again and was a part of why the team was up 27-3 at the half and he barely needed to throw in the 2nd half as a result.

But JG aside, the core of this team’s success has been built on the D and the running game, and that continued in spades today. The run D has been a bit troublesome for three straight weeks yet overall the D is absolutely wrecking opposition offenses. Bosa was awesome that first half. But it wasn’t just him, the whole DL was creating havoc. The running game was also very impressive with multiple explosive plays. Tevin Coleman had himself a day.

If this was a GPS game for the 49ers they showed they are a truly dominant force this year.

    1. I can’t view with out turning my ad blocker off. How are their grades?

Grant must be in shock, 3 hours later and no Periscope, no good and not so good, and no grades.

  51. Receptions — second behind Kittle…
Emmanuel Sanders 4 rec 25 yards 1 TD

Not bad for his first start as a 9er. Hope he didn’t feel rushed….

  52. Anybody know Jimmy’s QB rating today? I can’t find it in the stats online.

  53. Do I really want to sit through another Jimmy G bashing by Grant via periscope just to see him eat some crow. Nah.

      1. Feels good Under. Can’t wait to get our starters back, and see what we have at the end of the year!

        1. The offense still has some improving to do, mostly JG and I have no doubt he will get better.

          1. By the end of the year I expect Jimmy G and Sanders will know each other extremely well.

            1. Maybe they can do a three-way with Jimmy’s porn Chick. That would be a way to know each other extremely well.
