Trent Baalke’s patience-period is apparently over.
According to Matt Barrows, the 49ers have signed two-time pro-bowl center Jonathan Goodwin to a three-year deal. According to Adam Schefter, the deal is woth $10.9 million with $4 million guaranteed.
The 32-year-old Goodwin was the starting center for the 2009 Superbowl champion New Orleans Saints. He made the Pro Bowl in 2009, and in 2010 he made it as a reserve. Like Davis Baas, the center he’s replacing, Goodwin is an alumnus of the University of Michigan.
I guess we know what Baalke was thinking when he was staring at Adam Snyder in practice yesterday.
Today’s practice is stating right now. I’ll get back to you guys a little later.
