LaMichael James on Moss: “Randy is my guy. 1a, 1b. Me and him.”

SANTA CLARA – LaMichael James spoke at his locker Thursday afternoon. Here’s what he said.

Q: You said earlier you were hitting the hole a little too fast. Have you adjusted to that?

JAMES: I have not. I really haven’t, but I will eventually. I’ve just got to keep doing me and not try to be someone else. Just continue doing what I’m doing. If I’m going to hit it fast, so be it. At least I’m hitting it fast.

Q: Do you remember your last touchdown before the one you got in the NFC Championship game?

JAMES: I definitely do not. Last year.

Q: What has Randy Moss’ presence meant to this team, and what is your relationship with him like?

JAMES: Randy is my guy. 1a, 1b. Me and him. He gives me a lot of life lessons. Not only football, but life in general. On the field he’s a competitor. He’s a savvy player. He knows the ins and outs. I think he just keeps everybody motivated.

Q: Do you think he’s been misunderstood?

JAMES: Most definitely. Randy’s a great guy. I wouldn’t trade him for anybody else.
