Prediction: 49ers will dismantle Bills

The 49ers will dismantle the Bills on Sunday, just take them apart.

The Bills defense can’t stop the run – they give up an average of 4.8 yards per attempt. I expect the following sequence to happen more than once: Frank Gore up the middle for five yards on first and ten; Kendall Hunter up the middle for four yards on second and five; Brandon Jacobs up the middle for three yards on third and one.

The Bills defense will not be able to force the 49ers offense into obvious passing situations – third and four or more – and if you can’t force the 49ers offense in obvious passing situations, you can’t stop the 49ers offense.

Greg Roman could call 15 passing plays against the Bills and beat them easily.

The Bills offense will try to establish a running game, too. This will be a difficult task against the 49ers excellent front-seven, especially considering the Bills’ starting left tackle (Cordy Glenn) and right guard (Kraig Urbik) are out with injuries, and both the Bills’ running backs – C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson – are playing hurt.

The Bills will face too many third-and-longs and they will not drive the ball into the red zone more than once.

When they get there, I expect Ryan Fitzpatrick to throw a touchdown pass to 6-7 tight end Scott Chandler. The 49ers have given up TD passes to tight ends in four of their last six games. They do not have a player tall enough to match up in the red zone with a tall guy like Chandler.

I expect the 49ers to score four touchdowns, and the final score to be 28-7.

What do you expect?
