Prediction: Colts will beat Ravens

The Colts will beat the Ravens on Sunday, and here’s why.

Joe Flacco is not having a good year. Ray Rice is a weapon, but the Ravens’ wide outs are inconsistent pass catchers. On top of all that, Colts’ head coach Chuck Pagano knows the Ravens well – he was their defensive coordinator before he got the Colts job. He will contribute immensely to the defensive game plan.

The Colts offense, although it starts slow at times, is clicking pretty well. Andrew Luck does make some ill-advised decisions and often holds the ball too long because he tries to be perfect, but he’s a playmaker. Reggie Wayne still is a factor and rookie wide receiver T.Y. Hilton gives them an additional weapon in the passing game.

Also, the Colts will benefit from the “Pagano Factor” and the “Chuck Strong” mantra they’ve been playing with. Pagano missed most of the regular season as he fought leukemia, but he’s healthy now and back coaching for the playoffs.
