Deebo Samuel has a tweaked hip, according to the 49ers. He did not practice today or last week.

  1. McGlinchey undergoes PRP procedure on his knee.

“As for McGlinchey, Shanahan said, “We had this planned all along. He needed to get a PRP on his knee, so we just wanted to do it before camp. We thought this would give him enough time to recover and heal the right way. It’s something we’ve been planning on doing for a while. We just wanted to do it at the best time.”

    What PRP is…

  2. Nice. Grant asked a question about Deebo’s injury, and KS seemed surprised and a little relieved that it was not more. At the end, he asked about Tyree Mayfield, who may have had hydration/ overheating issues.
    .
I liked the query about Marquis focusing upon himself, and tying it towards his track and field training. Marquis wanted to focus on getting better himself, rather than beating an opponent.

  3. Saleh may be on the hot seat? He is the DC. He needs to be in control of all phases. Woods may control the DBs’, Kocurek may be coaching the D line, but Saleh needs to coach both aspects of the defense, along with the LBs.
    .
I am glad Saleh is becoming more versatile, with the Wide 9 as an option. The defense has improved, and the new additions may make them even better. If the Niner defense becomes a top 10 defense, both Saleh and JL’s jobs will be safe. If the defense struggles, maybe they should have traded back and selected a safety in the second round.
