49ers sign free safety Craig Dahl

The 49ers just announced they’ve signed free safety Craig Dahl to a three-year deal worth $5 million, according to the Sacramento Bee. Here is general manager Trent Baalke’s statement: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Craig. He is an experienced veteran with excellent intangibles, who has working knowledge of the NFC West.”

Dahl is 27 years old and he was the starting free safety for the Rams last season. He was the 78th-best safety in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus, missing 16 tackles and allowing 15.8 yards per reception.

Do you think he will start at free safety for the 49ers next season? Do you think the 49ers will draft a free safety to compete with Dahl?
