Thursday’s Injury Report

The 49ers just released the injury report for Thursday. Here’s what it looks like.

49ers
Limited participation in practice: Crabtree (feet) and Goldson (knee)

Cowboys
Did not participate in practice: WR Dez Bryant (thigh), G Bill Nagy (neck), CB Terence Newman (groin), CB Orlando Scandrick (ankle)
Limited participation in practice: CB Mike Jenkins (shoulder), LB Anthony Spencer (shoulder)
Full participation in practice: WR Miles Austin (knee), TE Martellus Bennett (ankle), Phil Costa (knee), T Tyron Smith (knee)

Notice that Dallas’ left guard Nagy did not practice today. Yesterday Dallas got limited participation from him. If he doesn’t play, and it’s looking like he won’t, expect Dallas’ fourth round draft pick David Arkin to start at left guard.

Also, notice how banged up Dallas’ corners are. The two starters, Newman and Scandrick, haven’t practiced all week. Their third best corner, Mike Jenkins, has been limited with a shoulder injury.

The next two corners on their depth chart are Bryan McCann and Alan Ball. McCann is 23-years old and 5’10” 186 lbs. Dallas signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Ball is older and bigger – he’s 26-years old and 6’2″ 197, and Dallas drafted him in the 7th round back in 2007.
