Which NFL quarterbacks will have passer ratings better than 95 this season?

Last season, 10 quarterbacks finished the regular season with passer ratings better than 95.0. Those quarterbacks were:

1. Aaron Rodgers: 108.0
2. Peyton Manning: 105.8
3. Alex Smith: 104.1
4. Robert Griffin III: 102.4
5. Russell Wilson: 100.0
6. Matt Ryan: 99.1
7. Tom Brady: 98.7
8. Colin Kaepernick: 98.3
9. Ben Roethlisberger: 97.0
10. Drew Brees: 96.3

Which quarterbacks do you think will have passer ratings better than 95.0 this upcoming season? Here is my list. I’d be interested to read yours.

1. Rodgers
2. P. Manning
3. Brees
4. Romo
5. Wilson
6. Ryan
7. Brady
8. Roethlisberger
9. Kaepernick
10. Newton
11. Luck

Analysis: I expect Alex Smith and Robert Griffin III to have passer ratings in the high 80s or low 90s this year. Andy Reid may ask Smith to pass too often, and Shanahan may be scared to call running plays for Griffin, which could negatively impact his passing efficiency.

I expect Romo and Brees to have 100+ passer ratings. Romo will have a running game to lean on, and Brees will have his head coach back.

I expect Luck and Newton will have excellent seasons. Luck will have a running game and his old offensive coordinator from Stanford, Pep Hamilton. Newton ended last season on a tear, and I expect him to keep that going this season.

As well as Joe Flacco and Eli Manning have played in the playoffs, neither quarterback ever has had a passer rating better than 95 in the regular season, and I don’t expect that to change this season.
