  1. Grant… I for one was completely wrong about this. I thought this man was to strong of a leader to fail. My mistake was not seeing the stubbornness in him, knowing he thinks he’s better hurt, than the rest of the guys are healthy. He wants to play, and no rotation in San Francisco was going to accommodate this man. One love Bow, it was great while it lasted.

    1. I think when you work that hard every moment of every day to rehab from two horrible career ending injuries. I don’t think give up or pull back or take plays off are in your mentality. I rather have a stubborn Navarro on the team any day vs that guy.

I do hope that for his sake that he is willing to take a rotational role on a super bowl caliber team and win what the niners should’ve won.

  2. Patrick Willis in his prime and bowman when he was first coming up. Best linebacker duo in the league. I won’t forget the excitement I felt watching them play.

I might start posting as shush or Shias as spellcheck prefers both of those over shish.

      1. #80… Lol,my bad. Never really paid attention to your avatar. I shall relinquish the GOAT!! Sorry buddy

            1. Go to Gravatar.com, and upload the image you wish to portray, and then link it to the email you use to comment on Grant’s blog.

I grew up idolizing you, Mr. Lee. Was fortunate to see the opening of your movie, Enter The Dragon in Chinatown as a kid….

    1. Not really. In fact there are tons of biases within the fanbase and press. For the sake of argument, PFF:

      Bowman — 45.0
      Harold — 45.5
      Armstrong — 49.9
      Coyle — 56.5
      Foster — 81.6

Bowman isn’t the Bowman of old. His legs are shot. His lateral agility is gone. His burst is gone. His stamina is gone. He misses a lot of tackles. He can’t cover. His range is limited. He’s being outplayed by a Special Teamer and a scrub back-up who is good for at least one major, game-changing ****-up a game.

  3. Worry is Foster wont stay healthy. I hope he does, but I have a nagging doubt that he might just be one of those players… great, bordering on world-dominating when he plays, but spends far too much time out of the game with niggling injuries.

  4. Gotta give a lot of respect to Grant. He called it months ago.

But I guess since Malcolm Smith went down, they had to hold onto Bow.

  5. According to a report from NBC Sports, Bowman through his agent communicated to Lynch Friday morning that he was willing to accept a diminished role but Lynch felt after everything that transpired through the week it was best for both parties to part ways and outright released Bowman.

    1. Lynch said he gave Bow a day to cool down, but his agent relayed Bow’s desire to be traded, then nixed the trade.
      .
Bow, upon realizing that he would lose millions, decided to become more humble, but he should have thought things through before displaying selfish tendencies, and burning bridges.

      1. Bowman could exercise his one-time option to collect his termination pay from the Niners and then sign with another club. Niners would get a dollar for dollar credit based upon Bowman’s new contract. Bowman has a lot of plays on tape for this season,. some not so good, so the big question is who, if anybody, will sign Bowman? What role will be acceptable for him from his perspective?

      2. All because he didn’t want subbed out!! He wanted every snap and when your 0-5 that’s wat winners do!! He’s to good for this declining organization!!! Hyde won’t be far behind him and when that happens I’ll never watch another niner game again!!

  6. A former all pro linebacker playing part time for an 0-5 team , just doesn’t sit well… if the Niners were 4-1 he might have hung around and played less

  7. In the end, Bowman was given a choice to choose a team as well as Kap.

Kap, decided not to be a ‘Team Player’ and help the Niners by agreeing to the Denver, Kap for Tebow + draft picks trade.

Kap in the end did not have the 49ers best interests in mind, and like dating his teammates girl friend resulting in a locker room melee, he left ingloriously, unlike Bowman.

  8. *Also,

When you’re creating a new culture and all but completely gut the team of Baalke players leaving an ex-star in Bowman, who sacrificed a broken leg to hold onto a fumble vs. Seattle, it behooves the team in the long run to tread carefully–sending a message–that you let him compete for a job–he earned that right…The Niners did that.

  9. 0-5 and cut your best player!!! I’m starting to hate this team and been faithful since birth! Letting harbaugh leave for nothing was the sign of the shit seasons the York’s will be giving us. Crabtree, walker,Davis, brooks, and now bowman! I’m done these clowns run one of the best organizations in football into the ground!!!
