Question: Who do you think will start at running back for the 49ers — Reggie Bush, Jarryd Hayne or Mike Davis?
The Aussie in me hopes it is Hayne. The realist says Bush.
Who will replace Bush when his calf hurts? Davis may not be up to speed in his pass protection, and Hayne has never seen anything like the Rams pass rush in person. It’s not a good situation, but that’s a given when playing “Baalke Ball”.
Could it be a second straight week of more punts than first downs?
Maybe they should just punt on1st downs. Line up Pinion as tailback in an I.

Kaep has some running to catch up on since he did not run in the last game.
I say he finishes with about 8-11 runs. A few runs by design but most for survival.
After running around he gets blind sided and he get’s knocked out off the game injured. That’s the last thing we would want to happen kaepernick getting injured and he’ll be on the roster after April 2016 and the 49ers have to pay this guy 33 million which the 49ers can use the money this guy kap is getting paid with..
I want to see Bush and or Hayne catching balls out of the backfield against good match ups. I guess that’s a pipe dream too.
Next you’ll be wanting to see laterals :-P
Scooter, you read my mind. ;p
It’s catching.
Well at least a bloodbath will be in the spirit of Halloween.
Make no bones about it. Its a grave situation.
Doubt it will make a difference who they have back there. The defense will crowd the line until the QB forces them to back off.
I agree. The Rams defense are tough and they will give kaepernick all kind of problems.
Carlos Hyde is injury prone .RBs who are injury prone do not add up too much ,regardless of talent
Frank Gore was very injury prone in college. What does that tell you? Not much before a runner has a career to look back on.
Big difference between staying healthy in college than in the pros . Gore has a ten year career , can’t see Hyde getting half that
The odds are very much against any back getting the years that Frank has racked up. It’s too soon to label Hyde, but it’s soon enough to do what many people have done — point out that his running style will be very hard on him.
In Gore’s first six years he missed games in five of those years. He missed five games in his sixth (2010) year. He has not missed a game since 2010. That might be why you haven’t thought of Frank Gore as “injury prone.”
After 2010 was probably when Frank was labeled “over the hill” each and every season until he pilled up a few 100+ yard games.
Frank carried the ball a lot , carried the team in fact, so a lot of the games he missed were due to just flat out taking a beaten, Hyde has been injured twice in two years without a whole lot of carries , he was Gore’s backup last year
Again, look at Gore’s first six years. Of course Frank was hurt some of the time because he was over used. Baalke/Parsells offensive design kills bell cows. Gore being exceptional doesn’t make Hyde injury prone this soon in his career.
Please don’t play Kaepernick against the Rams on Sunday. We don’t want this guys getting hurt and the 49ers might have to pay this guy 33 million after April next season if he got hurt now. Plz!.
Yeah, lets call the game. in fact Football is so dangerous, they should just shut down the league so no player will get hurt.
Another Big10 RB bust
