Niners’ O.C. candidates: From seven down to four

The 49ers have interviewed seven individuals for the club’s offensive-coordinator position, but those seven have dwindled to four possibilities.

The Chargers today hired Rob Chudzinski as assistant head coach/tight ends. Chudzinkski interviewed for the 49ers’ job on Jan. 10.

He was initially considered a top candidate for the job, but one of the questions was whether he might become an immediate head-coaching candidate if the club experienced success.

Dan Reeves, Hue Jackson and Jeff Jagodzinski interviewed with coach Mike Singletary and GM Scot McCloughan last week. It is not known if a job offer has been made.
