Report: 49ers trade sixth-round pick for Boldin

ESPN is reporting the 49ers have traded a sixth round pick in the upcoming draft to the Ravens for wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Boldin will turn 33 years old in October. The 49ers owe him $6 million dollars if he passes his physical.

Boldin caught four touchdown passes in the playoffs a few months ago, including one in the Super Bowl. He’s a possession receiver and a red zone weapon. He is not particularly fast and he does not stretch the field.

Do you like this trade? Do you think Boldin is worth what the 49ers will have to pay him?

Do you think he will be the 49ers’ No.2 wide receiver next season? Or do the 49ers still need a deep threat to complement Crabtree?

UPDATE: NFL Network’s Albert Breer, citing a 49ers’ source, is reporting the 49ers want to redo Boldin’s deal or extend it.
