Here’s one you don’t read every day. Apparently one Eagles beat writer, Les Bowen, punched another Eagles beat writer, Jeff McClane, in the head on Wednesday. You can read the full story here.
McClane wrote on Tuesday that he was certain Michael Vick would play this Sunday against the Niners. Bowen later tweeted that it was absurd to state with certainty on Tuesday that Vick would play on Sunday.
McClane responded by tweeting that Bowen was a hack, and then Bowen responded by punching McClane in the head the next morning in the media work room at the Eagles’ practice facility. These two men take their jobs very seriously.
Almost as seriously as I take the Niners beat. I take no flack from the Eric Branches of the world, and if Matt Maiocco gives me that look one more time, it’s on.
