  1. Beathard might be our version of Fitzpatrick. That cold toss to Kittle had some history behind it.

      1. 49ers should set themselves up for 2020 draft for tua , maybe trade a few players like armstead, celek and some recievers and a draft choice , Tua is going come out 2020 maybe trade with a buffalo, or jets since jimmy maybe limited to with this injury in recovering I believe tua is a better Russell Wilson left handed rifle . and a great leader by example.

    1. Why is that CFC? Wentz tore his ACL on December 7th, and he’s beck already, less than 10 months. No reason Jimmy won’t be full go by training camp provided he doesn’t have any setbacks, and hopefully, the team will have exorcised the demon-curse of 2018, and may actually have an NFL caliber pass rusher or 2 on the roster by then.

I think this offense would have been a contender by midseason, provided they were able to get relatively healthy, but this is not a defense that is going to take the team anywhere this season. It sucks, but I’ve always said, it takes more than talent to win a Super Bowl. It takes some good luck as well, and this year’s team is clearly down on their luck!

      1. It will be a whole new team next year with Jerick Mckinnon and Jimmy Garropolo and the 1st overall pick in every round of the 2019 draft.

So basically the rest of this year is meaningless.

      1. Only bush league fans like yourself “predict” injuries with such sarcastic gusto. ‘A-hole’ is correct and accurately describes you.

  2. I agree, this is a disaster. However, better the fourth game than the fourteenth game.

Hoping for a good recovery for Jimmy.

    1. Then I hope the 49ers finish 1 and 15 if they get Crapper back. You people are complete IDIOTS to want Kap back. Why do you people enjoy him kneeling down during the anthem? What is the purpose of doing that?

            1. I’m not some whacked out black guy on a KC site. I’m mostly on Facebook, but you Press Democrat fools don’t know what that is and probably would never get on it. Not my fault I’m not on 49er forums that people like you got me banned from because you wouldn’t listen. I guarantee you that you will have 4 to 6 wins. Chiang, you don’t want to listen to anything about the 49ers as you think your coach is good, GM is good, QB is good, RB is good, WR is good, team good, I’m good, playoff good, superbowl good. Until Jed York sells the team, you don’t deserve a superbowl. Your stadium is a JOKE in Santa Clara. All your games should be 1:05 contests, no Sunday night, No MOnday Night, no Thursday night.

              1. I think the more you speak [write] the more it becomes obvious that’s you over on ArrowHeadPride.com.

  3. Good ‘ol NFL. Never fails to entertain.

Some on this blog were predicting a run-away Chiefs victory…just today: “The D is so porous. 52-3 KC. Book it.” The fact that the 9ers were battling back rather well at Arrowhead (yes, at Arrowhead) was a positive sign. No getting away from the fact a good deal of 9er play was weak. Many things to ‘book’.

With the loss of Garoppolo, the 9ers will likely end up somewhere from 4 – 6 wins, meaning a relatively high position in the 2019 draft. Young players on the 2018 squad will get a ton of reps–usually a good thing for the most promising players like Warner, Pettis, McGlinchey, Kittle, and others. Hope they get some gems in the draft and snag a few solid FAs. A smart trade or two would help. Sadly, no guarantees.

With all this, pressure really builds on the GM, HC, other coaches, and those players who are respected leaders. All run in circles and panic? Whimper and give up? Everyone out for themselves? Get focused and pound? We’ll see who steps up, and who doesn’t. Could we be towing banners around Santa Clara skies late in the 2019 season? It’s possible.

  4. Time to play guess the 49er season:
    NFC North
Green, Bay, Det (XW), Minn (XL), Chi
So far 1-1, look for them to drop to Chicago and GB, 1-3
    AFC West
KC (XL), Oak, SD (Next week), Den
    possible 0 and 4 or 1 and 3

    East, NYG
    South, TB, big loss
    Division, 2 and 4

    Definitely a 4 and 12 season, or 5 and 11.

      1. Cassie, still working on that training bra of yours? By the way, I favor Chargers by 10 points. See? I’m being very generous as I favored KC by 17.

  5. Hate to see anyone hurt at work. But let’s hope Jimmy comes back strong and the team heals up. It’s just a major bummer I guess.

    1. first Mckennon rb, $$$$$ now Garapolo qb $$$$$. this sucks shermans hurt, person hurt, tarft hurt ,
what else, oh wait ref’s hurts us to with that stupid call on juice in the endzon offensive pass intef 2018 will
      be long right now

  6. I’m sorry but he deserved it. Why did he try to cut the play back inside ?? I mean what an idiot. The league has done virtually everything to protect QBs,yet JG willingly throws himself back into fray, just to get clobbered by a DB. This is the intelligence of the man our franchise chose to give all of its money to? You can clearly see his cut back inside is where the injury happened.
Yea I know Steve Young would give the coaches fits by not running out of bounds, but you can’t compare SY to JG, or their running ability
He was looking like the pressure of his situation was too much for him anyway. I mean some of his passes are just dead ducks that really make you wonder

The thing is JG really needed game reps to prove that he is that guy. And now that’s not gonna happen. If anything, the guy is injury prone. Today’s a bad day for the 49ers franchise and everybody from the top down should be questioned. The players they pick, in a big game, can’t even stay on the field. Literally dropping like flies. Pathetic. 49ers need some warriors. This team is soft, and Im not sure they will win another game this year with Beathard

Also Grant nobody wants to watch your dumbass on video, sorry. Bad enough to read you

    1. jimmy in the `1 quarter held on to the ball to long right after spielman said it , took a sack could not try a field goal
he’s not been sharp even in the preseason mechanics are bad cannot get rid of the ball I believe sack the most 4,today 6, and 4 14 total 3 games we need to be smarter and also warriors that know how to tackle I counted 8 missed in game 1 , 11 missed last week and 10 missed ,29 and saleh got to improve us or be replaced because it has not been good under his watch 28,27,38, in three games 93 points, got to get better real soon.

    1. Yeah, because Jimmy tried a move that even Emmitt Smith never tried.

His leg should be sent to a medical school to be dissected and studied after that self-inflicted season-ender.

  7. Garoppolo is a risk-taker. We all see that.

Okay. But he was going gung-ho on that last play because he’d just been sacked a moment earlier on a blown assignment by offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey. McGlinchey is a rookie. He looked tired and was getting beat like a rug in the 4th quarter. McGlinchey is a first round draft pick we didn’t need, because we traded away a better talent (Trent Brown ) the day before the draft.

So now we have the following to look forward to: Jimmy’s out, and the Niner season is over — mostly because pass protection was breaking down and Jimmy was trying to overcompensate for that. Jimmy really is a stud who wants to carry the team on his back.

The lack of good pass protection brought out the Samurai in Jimmy G. And that should not happen on a balanced team.

Our smooth-talking GM, John Lynch, drafted McGlinchey after trading Brown. But wait — Brown was the better lineman. Remember that — when you’re dreaming about how great Lynch is compared to cast-off GM Baalke. And I don’t disagree that Baalke was truly lousy at the end of his tenure.

But Lynch has now been in charge of two HIGHLY DUBIOUS draft years. The clock is ticking, John Lynch. . . .
