Gore: I should’ve checked my guest list
According to Frank Gore, it was simply a young man throwing a party to celebrate his 27th birthday. But when the NCAA found out that numerous college athletes attended the shindig at Gore’s Miami home on May 15, it launched an investigation into whether sports agents and financial advisors had funded the evening.
This morning, Gore seemed taken aback at the ensuing controversy.

McDonald apologizes for distraction of DUI
As first reported by Comcast SportsNet, 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was arrested in San Mateo County on Saturday night for suspicion of driving under the influence. A representative of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office told Comcast that McDonald was booked at San Mateo County Jail at 7:57 p.m Saturday and released at 9:39 p.m.
McDonald issued a short statement directly to reporters after practice, addressing what he called “the incident Saturday night.”

Kristick gets probation, community service
Rookie 49ers linebacker Keaton Kristick and two of his Oregon State teammates were sentenced to probation and community service after pleading guilty to reduced charges in Corvallis, Ore., this morning. The trio had taken an athletic department golf cart for a joyride and flipped it on March 14.

Rookie Kristick charged in golf cart incident
Keaton Kristick’s chances of making the 49ers’ 53-man roster were slim to begin with. The undrafted rookie linebacker from Oregon State didn’t do himself any favors, then, when he and two teammates took a golf cart for a joyride on March 14.
